Ezekiel 33

YHWH appoints Ezekiel as a watchman for Israel, charging him to warn the wicked of judgment so that if they repent they may live, emphasizing personal responsibility and YHWH's desire that the wicked turn from their ways rather than die (Ezekiel 33:1-20).[1][2][4] A fugitive reports Jerusalem's fall, confirming Ezekiel's prophecies; YHWH rebukes the surviving remnant's sins and idolatry, promising further desolation of the land so they will know YHWH is God (Ezekiel 33:21-29).[1][2]

And you son of man say to sons of your people righteousness of the righteous not will deliver him in day of his transgression And wickedness of the wicked not he will stumble by it in day of his turning from his wickedness And righteous not he will be able to live by it in day of his sin

Thus you shall say to them Thus says YHWH YHWH As I live I surely not those who in the ruins by the sword will fall and whoever on the face of the field to the beast I will give it to devour it and those who in the strongholds and in the caves by pestilence will die

And as for you son of man the sons of your people who are talking about you by the walls and at the entrances of the houses and speak one to another each man to his brother saying Come please and hear what is the word that comes from YHWH
