The 4 Biggest Lies About Israel Exposed: Lie #1 - Israel Did Not Return in 1948

The first big lie about the State of Israel, the so-called Jewish state, is that Israel returned in 1948. Newspapers from that time proclaimed the birth of the State of Israel, but this is false. Jews Are Gentiles Who Adopted Judean Identity

Jews are Gentiles who adopted the identity and practices of the people of Judah after they were scattered in Babylon and Persia. This is straight from the Bible in the Book of Esther 8:17: "And in every province and in every city, wherever the king's command and his edict reached, there was gladness and joy among the Judeans, a feast and a holiday, and many from the peoples of the country declared themselves Judeans (mityahadim), for fear of the Judeans had fallen on them."

Read the whole chapter for context. This happened throughout Persia—from Cush to India, over 100 provinces. Gentiles took on a Judean identity that wasn't theirs. The Hebrew word mityahadim means "to Judaize" or "to make oneself Judean," adopting Judean practices and identity. The root relates to Yehudi (Judean), with the prefix mit- indicating a reflexive action: causing oneself to become Judean.

Starting around 473 BC (events in Esther), many across the Persian Empire began calling themselves Judeans, though they were not descendants of Jacob. They did it for social, political, or protective reasons, creating the confusion we see today about the true Israelites.

Yeshua Confirms This in Revelation

Even 500 years later, Yeshua addressed this. In Revelation 2:9: "I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the slander of those who say that they are Judeans and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan."

And in Revelation 3:9: "Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Judeans and are not, but lie... they will come and bow down before your feet."

The Greek Ioudaíos means "Judean," not "Jew." Yeshua refers to Gentiles saying they are Judeans when they are not—echoing Esther. This continued into AD 90-95 when Revelation was written, even after the Temple's destruction. Modern Jews trace back to these same people.

How Judaism Emerged from This Confusion

These non-Israelites adopted religious practices that became Judaism. Over time, anyone following Judaism was called a Judean or Israelite, regardless of ancestry. Today, converts to Judaism claim Israelite or Judahite descent—a total lie. Converting to Judaism has nothing to do with being a descendant of Judah. Judaism is a religion condemned by YHWH; it doesn't lead to righteousness. That's why Paul left it when saved.

A true Judean is a descendant of Judah (son of Jacob/Israel) or an Israelite in Judah's territory. But Gentiles calling themselves Judeans confused everything, letting converts claim the identity.

1948 Doesn't Match Bible Prophecy

The 1948 migration and declaration don't fit Scripture. Read Ezekiel 20 for how YHWH will regather true Israelites:

  • Ezekiel 20:33-34: "As I live, declares YHWH, surely with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, I will be King over you. I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand..."

  • Ezekiel 20:35: "I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face."

  • Ezekiel 20:36: "Like I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of Egypt, so I will with you."

  • Ezekiel 20:37: "I will make you pass under the rod, and bring you into the bond of the covenant. I will purge the rebels from among you... they shall not enter the land of Israel."

Jewish history shows none of this—no wilderness judgment, no face-to-face with YHWH, no purging rebels. Zionism is about a Jewish homeland in Palestine, not YHWH regathering His people.[1][2]

The Biblical State of Israel: Gentiles and Edomites First

The Bible does mention a "state of Israel" before the true return: Gentiles and Edomites occupying the land. Ezekiel 36:5: "Thus says YHWH: Surely I have spoken in my hot jealousy against the rest of the nations and against all Edom, who gave my land to themselves as a possession with wholehearted joy and utter contempt..."
