Introduction: A Call to Remember, Repent, and Be Restored

Today is the Sabbath day. I'm outside enjoying the weather in my new favorite hoodie from Israelite Media: "Israelite: Remember, Repent, and Restored." This design quotes Deuteronomy 30:1-3 (ESV):

"And when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where YHWH your Elohim has driven you, and return to YHWH your Elohim, you and your children, and obey His voice in all that I command you today with all your heart and with all your soul, then YHWH your Elohim will restore your fortunes and have mercy on you, and He will gather you again from all the peoples where YHWH your Elohim has scattered you."

We Israelites must remember the blessings and curses of Deuteronomy 28, repent (teshuvah—turn back to YHWH), and trust Him to restore us. Yet most people, including lawn mowers on Sabbath, ignore this day.

My Journey from Sunday Church to Biblical Sabbath

I never kept the Sabbath growing up in Sunday church—common among Black people in Christian nations. YHWH led me to it through careful Bible study. Leaving Christianity doesn't mean leaving YHWH or Yeshua. Christianity isn't in Scripture; Yeshua taught "the Way of YHWH" (Acts 24:14), not a Roman religion.

  • The ecclesia (assembly, kahal) is believers, not a building. You are the assembly.
  • Christianity confuses Old Testament (books Genesis-Malachi) with Old Covenant (YHWH's agreement with Israel). They're different.
  • Sabbath is the 4th Commandment (Exodus 20:8-11). Claiming nine but rejecting one isn't obedience.

Sunday worship stems from Rome and Constantine, who opposed Sabbath-keepers as "Jews" (Yehudim—Judeans following Judaism, not always descendants of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob).

Sabbath from Creation, Not Old Covenant

Sabbath predates Sinai: YHWH created heavens and earth in six days, rested the seventh (Genesis 2:1-3). We honor His pattern—Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, not dawn-to-dawn or Sunday.

Early believers gathered on Sabbath (Acts throughout); no first-day assemblies except contextually. Consider Acts 20:7:

"On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul talked with them, intending to depart on the next day, and he prolonged his speech until midnight."

Context (Acts 20:1-6): After Days of Unleavened Bread (Passover feast, Leviticus 23:6—calculated from spring equinox, first new moon, 14th evening Passover, 15th unleavened bread high day), they stayed seven days in Troas. "First day" gathering at evening (Saturday sunset post-Sabbath) was dinner; Paul spoke till midnight. They're in Gentile areas but keeping feasts—proof Sabbath and feasts endure.

Christianity rejects these for Christmas/Easter (unscriptural), equating Sabbath with "Old Covenant."

3 Reasons Keeping Sabbath Changes Your Life

1. You Get in Line with YHWH

Primary benefit: Align with Elohim's design. Sunday replaces Sabbath sinfully; breaking it violates the Commandments. Believers gathered Sabbath days (Acts); Rome changed it.

2. Honor Creation's Eternal Rhythm

Sabbath commemorates YHWH resting after creation (Genesis 2:2-3; Exodus 20:11). It's perpetual, a sign (Exodus 31:17).

3. Embrace Restoration as Israelites

Ties to Deuteronomy 30: Remember curses among nations, repent fully (including Sabbath), receive gathering. YHWH restores scattered Israelites—not us restoring ourselves.

Conclusion: Reject Doctrines of Demons

Sunday? Roman. Dawn-to-dawn? Demonic. True Way: Sunset Friday to sunset Saturday rest. Start today—watch your life transform as you obey YHWH's voice (Deuteronomy 30:2).
