The Covenant as Proof of God's Existence
The easiest way to prove the existence of God is not through archaeological expeditions or ancient artifacts. Instead, we must look at the people of God—the Israelites—and examine their covenant relationship with the Most High. The lives of the Israelites, governed by the covenant they made with YHWH, provide irrefutable evidence of God's existence and the truth of Scripture.
The Covenant at Mount Sinai
When Israel came out of Egypt and entered the wilderness of Sinai, they entered into a formal covenant with YHWH. This covenant is recorded in Exodus 19:20-24, where Moses ascended the mountain to receive the Law. The Israelites, having heard the voice of God directly, were so afraid that they asked Moses to be their mediator, saying, "You go up and talk to him, and then you tell us."
This covenant was not merely a spiritual agreement—it was a binding contract with specific conditions. Living in the promised land of Israel was conditional upon keeping this covenant. YHWH made clear that if Israel broke the covenant and walked against His ways, failing to keep His commandments, He would cast them out of the land and destroy the temple. This warning is recorded in 1 Kings 9.
The Curse of Disobedience
Israel did break the covenant, and the consequences were exactly as YHWH had promised. Around 722 BC, the Assyrian Empire removed the Israelites from their land. Some were taken captive to Assyria, while others fled south into Judah. However, according to 2 Chronicles 30, another group refused to go to Judah and instead fled south, away from the Assyrian invasion coming from the north—a pattern consistent with how refugees always flee in the opposite direction of conflict.
Tracing the Scattered Israelites
DNA evidence shows that these scattered Israelites can be traced through the E1b1a genetic marker into Africa, south of the promised land, during the period between 700 BC and 400 BC. The Bantu people and their West African relatives are descendants of these scattered Israelites. Remarkably, these peoples speak languages that evolved from ancient Hebrew, with many words sounding similar to and carrying the same meanings as Hebrew words.
The Fulfillment of Curses
When we follow the history and lived experiences of the Bantu people and their West African relatives—including their diaspora—we see the direct fulfillment of the curses pronounced in Deuteronomy 28. These curses were perpetual, meaning they would continue from generation to generation.
The Scripture states:
-
"You shall be the tail and not the head." Throughout history, black people have been systematically placed at the bottom of societies, below other peoples.
-
"They will enslave you with yokes of iron around your necks." Historical records, including drawings by missionary David Livingstone, show the Bantu and African peoples wearing iron yokes during the Arab slave trade. This same enslavement occurred during the transatlantic slave trade, where children were torn from their mothers and sold into slavery.
-
"Your children will be taken away from you and sold as slaves." This curse was fulfilled when slave ships and Arab raiders came to villages, separating children from their mothers permanently.
Comparing Jewish History to Scripture
When we compare the history of Jewish people to what Scripture says would happen to the Israelites, the accounts do not match. Jewish people are not historically known as a suffering people in the way the Scripture describes the Israelites would suffer. They have not experienced the perpetual, generational curses that are evident in the history of the Bantu and West African peoples.
Jews were not targeted for slavery with yokes of iron around their necks. They were not systematically placed at the tail of nations throughout history. The historical record simply does not align with the biblical prophecies concerning the Israelites.
The Truth Sets Free
This is not a matter of opinion or interpretation—it is a matter of comparing Scripture with historical fact. When we study the Scripture strictly and compare it to what actually happened in history, the evidence is clear: the true Israelites are the scattered peoples of Africa and the African diaspora, not the Jewish people.
Many have been deceived into believing that Jews are Israelites. This deception has been perpetuated by pastors and churches that teach European Christianity rather than the full truth of Scripture. The Old Testament is not "the old covenant"—it is a collection of books called the Law and the Prophets. A covenant is an agreement between YHWH and the Israelites, not a book.
A Call to Repentance
The purpose of understanding this truth is not to condemn but to call Israel to repentance and to call all people—both Israelites and Gentiles—to walk in the truth of Scripture. We must not follow what the pulpit says or what pastors say unless they are speaking the truth of the Scriptures. We must examine Scripture for ourselves and align our understanding with what YHWH has actually said.
The existence of God is proven not through archaeological digs in Egypt, but through the living testimony of His people. When you follow the lives and history of the true Israelites, you see the fulfillment of every promise and every curse that YHWH spoke. This is the proof of God's existence.
The truth will set you free—free from deception. It is time to walk in the truth.
