Why I Left Christianity: The Bible Calls It the Way of YHWH
A Shocking Revelation from Scripture
I used to be an assistant pastor teaching Christianity, but I left it after reading the Bible and discovering that the word Christianity does not exist in the Scriptures. Nowhere does anyone say, "Convert to Christianity." Yeshua (Jesus) never preached it, the disciples never preached it, and YHWH never used it. Yet, people claiming to follow Christ cling to this religion. The Bible teaches the Way of YHWH, not Christianity.[1][2]
The Greek word Christianos (Christian) appears, meaning "followers of Christ," possibly used derogatorily by outsiders. But Christianity—with its pastors, church buildings, and modern models—is unbiblical. It's time to come out of deception and follow what the Scriptures actually say.
YHWH Reveals His Way to Abraham
YHWH first calls it the Way of YHWH in Genesis 18:19:
"For I have chosen him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of YHWH by doing righteousness and justice, so that YHWH may bring to Abraham what he has promised him." (ESV)
Abraham wasn't Jewish or following Judaism—that word (Ioudaismos) is Greek and absent from the Old Testament. This way involves righteousness and justice, leading to YHWH's promises: eternal life in the Kingdom, symbolized by the New Jerusalem.
Yeshua Teaches the Way of God
In the New Testament, even Yeshua's enemies acknowledged it. Luke 20:21:
"Teacher, we know that you speak and teach rightly... truly teach the way of God."
Yahweh is God, so it's the Way of YHWH. Yeshua declares in John 14:6:
"I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Yeshua is the Way of YHWH. To follow Him is to walk in truth and life, embracing the Law—not rejecting it as Christianity often does.
The Early Believers Belonged to 'the Way'
- Acts 9:2: Saul sought those "belonging to the Way" to persecute them—not Christians, Catholics, Methodists, or any denomination.
- Acts 18:25: Apollos "had been instructed in the way of the Lord" (YHWH in the Septuagint), teaching accurately about Yeshua.
- Acts 18:26: Priscilla and Aquila explained to him "the way of God more accurately."
- Acts 19:9: Some spoke evil of "the Way," so Paul withdrew with the disciples.
- Acts 19:23: Disturbances arose "concerning the Way."
- Acts 24:14: Paul confesses, "According to the Way, which they call a sect, I worship the God of our fathers, believing everything laid down by the Law and... the Prophets."
No Baptists, Pentecostals, or other denominations in the Bible. The Way of YHWH believes the Law and Prophets (Old Testament). Christianity often rejects them, claiming Yeshua "did away with the Law," creating lawless believers—Yeshua will reject those saying "Lord, Lord" while practicing lawlessness (Matthew 7:21-23).
Sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4). YHWH saves us from lawlessness, not to return to it.
Come Out of Christianity—Follow the Way of YHWH
The Way of YHWH and Christianity are not the same. Christianity rejects the Law; the Way embraces it through faith in Yeshua. Paul, after Galatians, testified to believing "everything laid down by the Law." Don't be deceived by pastors or denominations. Search the Scriptures: no "Christianity," only the Way of YHWH from Abraham to the apostles.
I left Christianity to follow the Bible. You should too.
