Why So Many Are Deconstructing Their Faith: The True Gospel and Israel's Witness
You Never Truly Received the Gospel
Deconstruction often starts here: you never received the real gospel. What most hear is a shallow call—come to the altar, repeat a prayer, believe in Jesus, and you're saved. That's not the gospel. The gospel demands repentance from sin. Without it, nothing makes sense.
Churches often say, "Repeat after me: Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins..." But the Bible says you must acknowledge you are a sinner, with a nature contrary to YHWH's nature. We're born sinners, separated from God (Romans 3:23). All the world's evil—lying, stealing, craziness—stems from sin, man's central problem.
YHWH made man and woman, but they fell, becoming sinners. Yeshua came to deal with sin. Salvation means being made right with God—right standing through repentance and faith. It's not just believing Bible stories or that God exists. Even demons believe and tremble (James 2:19), but they're not saved.
If you only got church culture, not the gospel, deconstruction follows. Realize your sin leads to eternal death and separation from God. That's when you see your need for a Savior.
Church Attendance Isn't Salvation
Going to church doesn't make you know Yeshua. Nobody gets saved by attending services. It's like going to a hospital and thinking you're a doctor, or visiting an auto shop and calling yourself a mechanic. Big difference between church culture and knowing Christ.
Church can be boring because it's not what it's meant to be. You are the church—the body of believers, not a building. People who hate God by their lives still go to church; devils attend too. Salvation comes from repenting of sins, receiving the Holy Spirit, and truly knowing Yeshua.
Deconstruction Can Strengthen Faith
Deconstructing isn't always bad—it's good to examine what you believe and why. I deconstructed myself. Coming out of mainstream Christianity, I read the Bible and saw 'Christianity' doesn't exist in Scripture. Yeshua never used the term; YHWH never did. Much of what's preached is European-flavored Roman Catholicism, not "the Way" (Acts 9:2; 24:14).
"The Way" is YHWH's path to righteousness. I was an assistant pastor for nearly 10 years, but my deconstruction increased my faith. Doubts like "Did Yeshua exist?" are answered historically—He's mentioned outside the Bible. But subjective experiences aren't enough; faith rests on provable evidence.
The Strongest Proof: The Israelites
The best evidence for YHWH's existence is the Israelites—the people of the book. We, the Bantu and West African relatives (not all black people), are the biblical Israelites. Their history proves the Bible's reality.
Look at the transatlantic slave trade—famous and prophesied as punishment for Israel's sin (Deuteronomy 28:15-68; Joel 3:5-8). Our sufferings match Scripture: oppression, slavery, colonialism. This shows YHWH punishes sin but is merciful—He promised not to eradicate Israel completely (Jeremiah 30:11).
Why dig in Egyptian sand for archaeology? The living evidence is the Israelites' story, relatable today. Slavery and black oppression fulfill prophecy from thousands of years ago. Denying God means denying this history.
False narratives, like claiming Jews are Israelites, don't fit Scripture. Jewish history doesn't match biblical curses or blessings. When identities are wrong—Bible as a "white European book" or ignoring Old Testament—you get confused, faith weakens.
Read the Whole Bible
Not reading the Old Testament dooms you to weak faith. It's the bulk of Scripture; New Testament is just the end (10-20%). Skipping it leaves you confused. The Bible is historical, inspired by the Most High (2 Timothy 3:16).
Combine history and Scripture: Israelites' sufferings validate it all. In Isaiah, promises of regathering await (Isaiah 44—though cut off, it speaks of YHWH's enduring covenant).
Three Key Points to Rebuild
- Never received the gospel? Repent, acknowledge sin, seek forgiveness.
- Church culture? Know Yeshua personally through the Spirit.
- False identities? Recognize true Israelites; reject lies about Jews.
