Did Israel Really Begin in 1948? The Biblical Truth
The State of Israel: Not the True Nation of Israelites
Did Israel really start in 1948? The State of Israel began on May 14, 1948, as many have been told. However, this State of Israel is not the nation of Israelites. The true nation of Israel did not begin in 1948 because the Israelites did not return to their promised land then. Jews are not Israelites—they are Gentiles and Edomites occupying the land just before the true Israelites return.
The current State of Israel is prophesied in the Bible as Gentiles and Edomites taking possession of the promised land prior to YHWH gathering His true people. This is detailed in Ezekiel 36:1-11. Consider verse 5: "Therefore, thus says the Lord YHWH: 'Surely I have spoken in my zeal against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, who gave My land to themselves as a possession with wholehearted joy and utter contempt, that they might make its pasture lands a prey.'"
In Ezekiel 36:8, YHWH addresses the land: "But you, O mountains of Israel, shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they will soon come home." People will claim the land as theirs, but it is not— this must occur before the true Israelites return. The land will be tilled and sown: "For behold, I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown. And I will multiply people on you, the whole house of Israel, all of it. The cities shall be inhabited and the waste places rebuilt."
When the true Israelites return, the cities will be empty, and waste places will need rebuilding. The land will be destroyed due to the wickedness of this Jewish state. When Jews migrated in, the cities were not empty.
Jews Are Not Israelites: Origins in the Book of Esther
Jews are Gentiles who adopted the identity and practices of the people of Judah after they were scattered in Babylon and Persia. This traces back to the Book of Esther 8:17: "And in every province and in every city, wherever the king's command and his edict reached, there was gladness and joy among the Judeans, a feast and a holiday. And many from the peoples of the country declared themselves Judeans, for fear of the Judeans had fallen on them."
Gentiles began calling themselves Judeans (Yehudim). Persia spanned from Cush to India, and among these peoples, some took on Judean identity. The Hebrew mityahadim means to make oneself Judean or adopt Judean practices—a reflexive action. Starting around 473 BC, the last date in Esther, many throughout the Persian Empire professed to be Judeans for social, political, and protective reasons.
These were not descendants of Jacob but impostors, causing today's confusion about true Israelites. Yeshua confirms this in the New Testament.
Revelation Confirms the Impostors
In Revelation 2:9, Yeshua says: "I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the slander of those who say they are Judeans and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan."
And in Revelation 3:9: "Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Judeans and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you."
This echoes Esther 500 years earlier—people declaring themselves Judeans when they are not. YHWH knows the truth.
Jewish DNA: Evidence of Edomite Origins
Jewish DNA reveals a significant portion carry the E1b1b Edomite haplogroup, found in 15-30% of Jewish men, especially Sephardic and Mizrahi Jews. E1b1a is the Israelite haplogroup. Herod, an Edomite, ruled as king of the Judeans—our 'long-lost cousins' through Esau.
The True Return: Ezekiel's Sequence of Events
The declaration of the State of Israel was not the Israelites' return. Zionism and Jewish migration do not match Scripture. Ezekiel 20 outlines the true sequence:
"As I live, declares the Lord YHWH, surely with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, I will be king over you. I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face... I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant. I will purge out the rebels from among you... They shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am YHWH."
YHWH gathers Israel with wrath, judges them face to face (not in Jewish history), purges rebels, and enters the New Covenant before entering the land. No sinners enter. Founders like Ben-Gurion were secular unbelievers; Israel's government remains largely godless.
Jews adopted Judean identity, forming Judaism—but they are not Israelites.
