2 Chronicles 25

Amaziah executes his father's murderers but spares their children per the Torah, hires Israelite mercenaries but obeys a prophet by dismissing them, defeats the Edomites in the Valley of Salt, yet brings back and worships their gods, provoking YHWH's anger.[1][2][3] A prophet warns him, but he challenges King Jehoash of Israel, suffers defeat with Jerusalem plundered, and later faces conspiracy and death.[2][3][4]

And he said Amaziah to man of God but what to do for hundred talents which I have given to troop of Israel And he said man of God there is to YHWH to give to you much more than this

And it happened as he was speaking to him and he said to him the counselor of the king have we made you Stop for yourself Why should you be struck down and he stopped the prophet and he said I know that has determined God to destroy you because you have done this and not you have listened to my counsel

and sent Joash king of Israel to Amaziah king of Judah saying the thistle that in Lebanon sent to the cedar that in Lebanon saying give - your daughter to my son as a wife and passed wild beast of the field that in Lebanon and trampled - the thistle
