2 Kings 24

in his days came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and became to him Jehoiakim servant three years then he turned and rebelled against him

1 בְּ/יָמָ֣י/ו 𐤁/𐤉𐤌𐤉/𐤅 beyamayv in his days HR/Ncmpc/Sp3ms עָלָ֔ה 𐤏𐤋𐤄 alah came up HVqp3ms נְבֻכַדְנֶאצַּ֖ר 𐤍𐤁𐤊𐤃𐤍𐤀𐤑𐤓 nevukhadenetsar Nebuchadnezzar HNp מֶ֣לֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe king HNcmsc בָּבֶ֑ל 𐤁𐤁𐤋 bavel of Babylon HNp וַ/יְהִי 𐤅/𐤉𐤄𐤉 vayehi and became HC/Vqw3ms ל֨/וֹ 𐤋/𐤅 lo to him HR/Sp3ms יְהוֹיָקִ֥ים 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤉𐤌 yehoyaqim Jehoiakim HNp עֶ֨בֶד֙ 𐤏𐤁𐤃 eved servant HNcmsa שָׁלֹ֣שׁ 𐤔𐤋𐤔 shalosh three HAcfsa שָׁנִ֔ים 𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 shanim years HNcfpa וַ/יָּ֖שָׁב 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤁 vayashav then he turned HC/Vqw3ms וַ/יִּמְרָד 𐤅/𐤉𐤌𐤓𐤃 vayimerad and rebelled HC/Vqw3ms בּֽ/וֹ 𐤁/𐤅 bo against him HR/Sp3ms

and sent YHWH in him direct object marker bands of Chaldeans and bands of Syrians and bands of Moabites and bands of sons of Ammon and sent them against Judah to destroy it according to the word of YHWH which he spoke by the hand of his servants the prophets

2 וַ/יְשַׁלַּ֣ח 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤋𐤇 vayeshalach and sent HC/Vpw3ms יְהוָ֣ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp בּ֡/וֹ 𐤁/𐤅 bo in him HR/Sp3ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et direct object marker HTo גְּדוּדֵ֣י 𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤃𐤉 gedudey bands of HNcmpc כַשְׂדִּים֩ 𐤊𐤔𐤃𐤉𐤌 khasedim Chaldeans HNp וְ/אֶת 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet and HC/To גְּדוּדֵ֨י 𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤃𐤉 gedudey-2 bands of HNcmpc אֲרָ֜ם 𐤀𐤓𐤌 aram Syrians HNp וְ/אֵ֣ת 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet-2 and HC/To גְּדוּדֵ֣י 𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤃𐤉 gedudey-3 bands of HNcmpc מוֹאָ֗ב 𐤌𐤅𐤀𐤁 moav Moabites HNp וְ/אֵת֙ 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet-3 and HC/To גְּדוּדֵ֣י 𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤃𐤉 gedudey-4 bands of HNcmpc בְנֵֽי 𐤁𐤍𐤉 veney Bene (Bemba) sons of HNcmpc עַמּ֔וֹן 𐤏𐤌𐤅𐤍 amon Ammon HNp וַ/יְשַׁלְּחֵ֥/ם 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤋𐤇/𐤌 vayeshalechem and sent them HC/Vpw3ms/Sp3mp בִּֽ/יהוּדָ֖ה 𐤁/𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤄 bihudah against Judah HR/Np לְ/הַֽאֲבִיד֑/וֹ 𐤋/𐤄𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤃/𐤅 lehaavido to destroy it HR/Vhc/Sp3ms כִּ/דְבַ֣ר 𐤊/𐤃𐤁𐤓 kidevar according to the word HR/Ncmsc יְהוָ֔ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah-2 Nyambe (Lozi) of YHWH HNp אֲשֶׁ֣ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher which HTr דִּבֶּ֔ר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 diber he spoke HVpp3ms בְּ/יַ֖ד 𐤁/𐤉𐤃 beyad by the hand of HR/Ncbsc עֲבָדָ֥י/ו 𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉/𐤅 avadayv his servants HNcmpc/Sp3ms הַ/נְּבִיאִֽים 𐤄/𐤍𐤁𐤉𐤀𐤉𐤌 haneviim the prophets HTd/Ncmpa

Surely upon mouth YHWH it happened in Judah to remove from his presence because of the sins Manasseh according to all that he had done

3 אַ֣ךְ 𐤀𐤊 akhe Surely HTa עַל 𐤏𐤋 al upon HR פִּ֣י 𐤐𐤉 pi mouth HNcmsc יְהוָ֗ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp הָֽיְתָה֙ 𐤄𐤉𐤕𐤄 hayetah it happened HVqp3fs בִּֽ/יהוּדָ֔ה 𐤁/𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤄 bihudah in Judah HR/Np לְ/הָסִ֖יר 𐤋/𐤄𐤎𐤉𐤓 lehasir to remove HR/Vhc מֵ/עַ֣ל 𐤌/𐤏𐤋 meal from HR/R פָּנָ֑י/ו 𐤐𐤍𐤉/𐤅 panayv his presence HNcbpc/Sp3ms בְּ/חַטֹּ֣את 𐤁/𐤇𐤈𐤀𐤕 bechatot because of the sins HR/Ncfpc מְנַשֶּׁ֔ה 𐤌𐤍𐤔𐤄 menasheh Manasseh HNp כְּ/כֹ֖ל 𐤊/𐤊𐤋 kekhol according to all HR/Ncmsa אֲשֶׁ֥ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr עָשָֽׂה 𐤏𐤔𐤄 asah he had done HVqp3ms

and also blood the innocent that he shed and he filled [direct object marker] Jerusalem blood innocent and not was willing YHWH to forgive

4 וְ/גַ֤ם 𐤅/𐤂𐤌 vegam and also HC/Ta דַּֽם 𐤃𐤌 dam blood HNcmsc הַ/נָּקִי֙ 𐤄/𐤍𐤒𐤉 hanaqi the innocent HTd/Aamsa אֲשֶׁ֣ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr שָׁפָ֔ךְ 𐤔𐤐𐤊 shafakhe he shed HVqp3ms וַ/יְמַלֵּ֥א 𐤅/𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤀 vayemale and he filled HC/Vpw3ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et [direct object marker] HTo יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם 𐤉𐤓𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤌 yerushalaim Jerusalem HNp דָּ֣ם 𐤃𐤌 dam-2 blood HNcmsa נָקִ֑י 𐤍𐤒𐤉 naqi innocent HAamsa וְ/לֹֽא 𐤅/𐤋𐤀 velo and not HC/Tn אָבָ֥ה 𐤀𐤁𐤄 avah was willing HVqp3ms יְהוָ֖ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp לִ/סְלֹֽחַ 𐤋/𐤎𐤋𐤇 liselocha to forgive HR/Vqc

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim and all that he did are they not they written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Judah

5 וְ/יֶ֛תֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤕𐤓 veyeter Now the rest HC/Ncmsc דִּבְרֵ֥י 𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤉 diverey of the acts HNcmpc יְהוֹיָקִ֖ים 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤉𐤌 yehoyaqim of Jehoiakim HNp וְ/כָל 𐤅/𐤊𐤋 vekhal and all HC/Ncmsc אֲשֶׁ֣ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr עָשָׂ֑ה 𐤏𐤔𐤄 asah he did HVqp3ms הֲ/לֹא 𐤄/𐤋𐤀 halo are they not HTi/Tn הֵ֣ם 𐤄𐤌 hem they HPp3mp כְּתוּבִ֗ים 𐤊𐤕𐤅𐤁𐤉𐤌 ketuvim written HVqsmpa עַל 𐤏𐤋 al in HR סֵ֛פֶר 𐤎𐤐𐤓 sefer the book HNcmsc דִּבְרֵ֥י 𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤉 diverey-2 of the words HNcmpc הַ/יָּמִ֖ים 𐤄/𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 hayamim of the days HTd/Ncmpa לְ/מַלְכֵ֥י 𐤋/𐤌𐤋𐤊𐤉 lemalekhey of the kings HR/Ncmpc יְהוּדָֽה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤄 yehudah of Judah HNp

and lay down Jehoiakim with his fathers and reigned Jehoiachin his son in his place

6 וַ/יִּשְׁכַּ֥ב 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤊𐤁 vayishekav and lay down HC/Vqw3ms יְהוֹיָקִ֖ים 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤉𐤌 yehoyaqim Jehoiakim HNp עִם 𐤏𐤌 im with HR אֲבֹתָ֑י/ו 𐤀𐤁𐤕𐤉/𐤅 avotayv his fathers HNcmpc/Sp3ms וַ/יִּמְלֹ֛ךְ 𐤅/𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 vayimelokhe and reigned HC/Vqw3ms יְהוֹיָכִ֥ין 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤉𐤊𐤉𐤍 yehoyakhin Jehoiachin HNp בְּנ֖/וֹ 𐤁𐤍/𐤅 beno Bene (Bemba) his son HNcmsc/Sp3ms תַּחְתָּֽי/ו 𐤕𐤇𐤕𐤉/𐤅 tachetayv in his place HR/Sp3ms

and not did add anymore king of Egypt to go out from his land for had taken king of Babylon from the brook of Egypt to river Euphrates all that had been to the king of Egypt

7 וְ/לֹֽא 𐤅/𐤋𐤀 velo and not HC/Tn הֹסִ֥יף 𐤄𐤎𐤉𐤐 hosif did add HVhp3ms עוֹד֙ 𐤏𐤅𐤃 od anymore HD מֶ֣לֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe king HNcmsc מִצְרַ֔יִם 𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mitserayim of Egypt HNp לָ/צֵ֖את 𐤋/𐤑𐤀𐤕 latset to go out HR/Vqc מֵֽ/אַרְצ֑/וֹ 𐤌/𐤀𐤓𐤑/𐤅 mearetso from his land HR/Ncbsc/Sp3ms כִּֽי 𐤊𐤉 ki for HC לָקַ֞ח 𐤋𐤒𐤇 laqach had taken HVqp3ms מֶ֣לֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe-2 king HNcmsc בָּבֶ֗ל 𐤁𐤁𐤋 bavel of Babylon HNp מִ/נַּ֤חַל 𐤌/𐤍𐤇𐤋 minachal from the brook HR/Ncmsc מִצְרַ֨יִם֙ 𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mitserayim-2 of Egypt HNp עַד 𐤏𐤃 ad to HR נְהַר 𐤍𐤄𐤓 nehar river HNcmsc פְּרָ֔ת 𐤐𐤓𐤕 perat Euphrates HNp כֹּ֛ל 𐤊𐤋 kol all HNcmsa אֲשֶׁ֥ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr הָיְתָ֖ה 𐤄𐤉𐤕𐤄 hayetah had been HVqp3fs לְ/מֶ֥לֶךְ 𐤋/𐤌𐤋𐤊 lemelekhe to the king HR/Ncmsc מִצְרָֽיִם 𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mitserayim-3 of Egypt HNp

son of eight ten years Jehoiachin when he became king and three months he reigned in Jerusalem and the name of his mother was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem

8 בֶּן 𐤁𐤍 ben Bene (Bemba) son of HNcmsc שְׁמֹנֶ֨ה 𐤔𐤌𐤍𐤄 shemoneh eight HAcfsa עֶשְׂרֵ֤ה 𐤏𐤔𐤓𐤄 esereh ten HAcfsa שָׁנָה֙ 𐤔𐤍𐤄 shanah years HNcfsa יְהוֹיָכִ֣ין 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤉𐤊𐤉𐤍 yehoyakhin Jehoiachin HNp בְּ/מָלְכ֔/וֹ 𐤁/𐤌𐤋𐤊/𐤅 bemalekho when he became king HR/Vqc/Sp3ms וּ/שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה 𐤅/𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤄 usheloshah and three HC/Acmsa חֳדָשִׁ֔ים 𐤇𐤃𐤔𐤉𐤌 chodashim Umwenshi (Bemba) months HNcmpa מָלַ֖ךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 malakhe he reigned HVqp3ms בִּ/ירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם 𐤁/𐤉𐤓𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤌 birushalaim in Jerusalem HR/Np וְ/שֵׁ֣ם 𐤅/𐤔𐤌 veshem and the name of HC/Ncmsc אִמּ֔/וֹ 𐤀𐤌/𐤅 imo his mother HNcfsc/Sp3ms נְחֻשְׁתָּ֥א 𐤍𐤇𐤔𐤕𐤀 nechusheta was Nehushta HNp בַת 𐤁𐤕 vat the daughter of HNcfsc אֶלְנָתָ֖ן 𐤀𐤋𐤍𐤕𐤍 elenatan Elnathan HNp מִ/ירוּשָׁלִָֽם 𐤌/𐤉𐤓𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤌 mirushalaim of Jerusalem HR/Np

And he did the evil in the eyes of YHWH according to all that had done his father

9 וַ/יַּ֥עַשׂ 𐤅/𐤉𐤏𐤔 vayaas And he did HC/Vqw3ms הָ/רַ֖ע 𐤄/𐤓𐤏 hara the evil HTd/Aamsa בְּ/עֵינֵ֣י 𐤁/𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉 beeyney in the eyes of HR/Ncbdc יְהוָ֑ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp כְּ/כֹ֥ל 𐤊/𐤊𐤋 kekhol according to all HR/Ncmsa אֲשֶׁר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr עָשָׂ֖ה 𐤏𐤔𐤄 asah had done HVqp3ms אָבִֽי/ו 𐤀𐤁𐤉/𐤅 aviv his father HNcmsc/Sp3ms

At that time that came up came up the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon Jerusalem and came the city under siege

10 בָּ/עֵ֣ת 𐤁/𐤏𐤕 baet At that time HRd/Ncbsa הַ/הִ֔יא 𐤄/𐤄𐤉𐤀 hahi that HTd/Pp3fs עלה 𐤏𐤋𐤄 lh came up HVqp3ms עָל֗וּ 𐤏𐤋𐤅 alu came up HVqp3cp עַבְדֵ֛י 𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉 avedey the servants of HNcmpc נְבֻכַדְנֶאצַּ֥ר 𐤍𐤁𐤊𐤃𐤍𐤀𐤑𐤓 nevukhadenetsar Nebuchadnezzar HNp מֶֽלֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe king HNcmsc בָּבֶ֖ל 𐤁𐤁𐤋 bavel of Babylon HNp יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם 𐤉𐤓𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤌 yerushalaim Jerusalem HNp וַ/תָּבֹ֥א 𐤅/𐤕𐤁𐤀 vatavo and came HC/Vqw3fs הָ/עִ֖יר 𐤄/𐤏𐤉𐤓 hair the city HTd/Ncfsa בַּ/מָּצֽוֹר 𐤁/𐤌𐤑𐤅𐤓 bamatsor under siege HRd/Ncmsa

and came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon against the city and his servants were besieging it

11 וַ/יָּבֹ֛א 𐤅/𐤉𐤁𐤀 vayavo and came HC/Vqw3ms נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּ֥ר 𐤍𐤁𐤅𐤊𐤃𐤍𐤀𐤑𐤓 nevukhadenetsar Nebuchadnezzar HNp מֶֽלֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe king HNcmsc בָּבֶ֖ל 𐤁𐤁𐤋 bavel of Babylon HNp עַל 𐤏𐤋 al against HR הָ/עִ֑יר 𐤄/𐤏𐤉𐤓 hair the city HTd/Ncfsa וַ/עֲבָדָ֖י/ו 𐤅/𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉/𐤅 vaavadayv and his servants HC/Ncmpc/Sp3ms צָרִ֥ים 𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 tsarim were besieging HVqrmpa עָלֶֽי/הָ 𐤏𐤋𐤉/𐤄 aleyha it HR/Sp3fs

and he went out Jehoiachin king of Judah to king of Babylon he and his mother and his servants and his princes and his eunuchs and he took him king of Babylon in year eight of his reign

12 וַ/יֵּצֵ֞א 𐤅/𐤉𐤑𐤀 vayetse and he went out HC/Vqw3ms יְהוֹיָכִ֤ין 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤉𐤊𐤉𐤍 yehoyakhin Jehoiachin HNp מֶֽלֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe king HNcmsc יְהוּדָה֙ 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤄 yehudah of Judah HNp עַל 𐤏𐤋 al to HR מֶ֣לֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe-2 king HNcmsc בָּבֶ֔ל 𐤁𐤁𐤋 bavel of Babylon HNp ה֣וּא 𐤄𐤅𐤀 hu he HPp3ms וְ/אִמּ֔/וֹ 𐤅/𐤀𐤌/𐤅 veimo and his mother HC/Ncfsc/Sp3ms וַ/עֲבָדָ֖י/ו 𐤅/𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉/𐤅 vaavadayv and his servants HC/Ncmpc/Sp3ms וְ/שָׂרָ֣י/ו 𐤅/𐤔𐤓𐤉/𐤅 vesarayv and his princes HC/Ncmpc/Sp3ms וְ/סָֽרִיסָ֑י/ו 𐤅/𐤎𐤓𐤉𐤎𐤉/𐤅 vesarisayv and his eunuchs HC/Ncmpc/Sp3ms וַ/יִּקַּ֤ח 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤇 vayiqach and he took HC/Vqw3ms אֹת/וֹ֙ 𐤀𐤕/𐤅 oto him HTo/Sp3ms מֶ֣לֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe-3 king HNcmsc בָּבֶ֔ל 𐤁𐤁𐤋 bavel-2 of Babylon HNp בִּ/שְׁנַ֥ת 𐤁/𐤔𐤍𐤕 bishenat in year HR/Ncfsc שְׁמֹנֶ֖ה 𐤔𐤌𐤍𐤄 shemoneh eight HAcfsa לְ/מָלְכֽ/וֹ 𐤋/𐤌𐤋𐤊/𐤅 lemalekho of his reign HR/Vqc/Sp3ms

and he carried out from there [direct object marker] all the treasures of the house of YHWH and the treasures of the house of the king and he cut in pieces [direct object marker] all the vessels of gold which had made Solomon king of Israel in the temple of YHWH as had spoken YHWH

13 וַ/יּוֹצֵ֣א 𐤅/𐤉𐤅𐤑𐤀 vayotse and he carried out HC/Vhw3ms מִ/שָּׁ֗ם 𐤌/𐤔𐤌 misham from there HR/D אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et [direct object marker] HTo כָּל 𐤊𐤋 kal all HNcmsc אוֹצְרוֹת֙ 𐤀𐤅𐤑𐤓𐤅𐤕 otserot the treasures HNcmpc בֵּ֣ית 𐤁𐤉𐤕 beyt of the house HNcmsc יְהוָ֔ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) of YHWH HNp וְ/אֽוֹצְר֖וֹת 𐤅/𐤀𐤅𐤑𐤓𐤅𐤕 veotserot and the treasures HC/Ncmpc בֵּ֣ית 𐤁𐤉𐤕 beyt-2 of the house HNcmsc הַ/מֶּ֑לֶךְ 𐤄/𐤌𐤋𐤊 hamelekhe of the king HTd/Ncmsa וַ/יְקַצֵּ֞ץ 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤑𐤑 vayeqatsets and he cut in pieces HC/Vpw3ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et-2 [direct object marker] HTo כָּל 𐤊𐤋 kal-2 all HNcmsc כְּלֵ֣י 𐤊𐤋𐤉 keley the vessels HNcmpc הַ/זָּהָ֗ב 𐤄/𐤆𐤄𐤁 hazahav of gold HTd/Ncmsa אֲשֶׁ֨ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher which HTr עָשָׂ֜ה 𐤏𐤔𐤄 asah had made HVqp3ms שְׁלֹמֹ֤ה 𐤔𐤋𐤌𐤄 shelomoh Solomon HNp מֶֽלֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe king HNcmsc יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 yiserael of Israel HNp בְּ/הֵיכַ֣ל 𐤁/𐤄𐤉𐤊𐤋 beheykhal in the temple HR/Ncmsc יְהוָ֔ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah-2 Nyambe (Lozi) of YHWH HNp כַּֽ/אֲשֶׁ֖ר 𐤊/𐤀𐤔𐤓 kaasher as HR/Tr דִּבֶּ֥ר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 diber had spoken HVpp3ms יְהוָֽה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah-3 Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp

and-he-exiled [direct object marker] all Jerusalem and-[et] all the-princes and-[et] all mighty-men-of the-valor ten thousand captives exile and-all the-craftsmen and-the-smiths not remained except poorest people of-the-land
