Jeremiah 22

YHWH commands the king of Judah to execute justice, protect the vulnerable, and avoid violence, promising enduring Davidic kingship for obedience but desolation for disobedience; he warns of destroyers cutting down the palace cedars like those of Lebanon, due to covenant forsaken for idolatry.[1][2][3][5] The chapter pronounces judgments on kings Shallum, Jehoiakim (buried like a donkey for oppression unlike Josiah), and Jehoiachin (cast off like a signet ring to die in Babylon without return).[1][4][5]

Thus like-this says he has caused-to-say YHWH the Being One Do you caused to do justice judgment and righteousness and rightness and deliver and you men, snatch away! the robbed a plundered man from the hand of from the hand of the oppressor an oppressing one and the sojourner and a sojourning man orphan fatherless one and widow and a widowed-woman not upon, over (down-upon) oppress you men shall maltreat not upon, over (down-upon) do violence you men will act violently and blood and blood innocent a guilt-cleared man not upon, over (down-upon) shed you men will pour out in the place in the standing-place this this (masculine singular one)
