Exodus 1

And these are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt with Jacob each man and his household came

1 וְ/אֵ֗לֶּה 𐤅/𐤀𐤋𐤄 veeleh And these are HC/Pdxcp שְׁמוֹת֙ 𐤔𐤌𐤅𐤕 shemot the names of HNcmpc בְּנֵ֣י 𐤁𐤍𐤉 beney Bene (Bemba) the sons of HNcmpc יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 yiserael Israel HNp הַ/בָּאִ֖ים 𐤄/𐤁𐤀𐤉𐤌 habaim who came to HTd/Vqrmpa מִצְרָ֑יְמָ/ה 𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌/𐤄 mitserayemah Egypt HNp/Sd אֵ֣ת 𐤀𐤕 et with HR יַעֲקֹ֔ב 𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 yaaqov Jacob HNp אִ֥ישׁ 𐤀𐤉𐤔 ish each man HNcmsa וּ/בֵית֖/וֹ 𐤅/𐤁𐤉𐤕/𐤅 uveyto and his household HC/Ncmsc/Sp3ms בָּֽאוּ 𐤁𐤀𐤅 bau came HVqp3cp

Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,

2 רְאוּבֵ֣ן 𐤓𐤀𐤅𐤁𐤍 reuven Reuben, HNp שִׁמְע֔וֹן 𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤅𐤍 shimeon Simeon, HNp לֵוִ֖י 𐤋𐤅𐤉 levi Levi, HNp וִ/יהוּדָֽה 𐤅/𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤄 vihudah and Judah, HC/Np

Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,

3 יִשָּׂשכָ֥ר 𐤉𐤔𐤔𐤊𐤓 yisashkhar Issachar, HNp זְבוּלֻ֖ן 𐤆𐤁𐤅𐤋𐤍 zevulun Zebulun, HNp וּ/בְנְיָמִֽן 𐤅/𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤌𐤍 uveneyamin and Benjamin, HC/Np

Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

4 דָּ֥ן 𐤃𐤍 dan Dan, HNp וְ/נַפְתָּלִ֖י 𐤅/𐤍𐤐𐤕𐤋𐤉 venafetali and Naphtali, HC/Np גָּ֥ד 𐤂𐤃 gad Gad, HNp וְ/אָשֵֽׁר 𐤅/𐤀𐤔𐤓 veasher and Asher. HC/Np

And were all the persons who came from the loins of Jacob seventy persons, and Joseph was already in Egypt.

5 וַֽ/יְהִ֗י 𐤅/𐤉𐤄𐤉 vayehi And were HC/Vqw3ms כָּל 𐤊𐤋 kal all HNcmsc נֶ֛פֶשׁ 𐤍𐤐𐤔 nefesh the persons HNcbsc יֹצְאֵ֥י 𐤉𐤑𐤀𐤉 yotseey who came from HVqrmpc יֶֽרֶךְ 𐤉𐤓𐤊 yerekhe the loins of HNcfsc יַעֲקֹ֖ב 𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 yaaqov Jacob HNp שִׁבְעִ֣ים 𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 shiveim seventy HAcbpa נָ֑פֶשׁ 𐤍𐤐𐤔 nafesh persons, HNcbsa וְ/יוֹסֵ֖ף 𐤅/𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 veyosef and Joseph HC/Np הָיָ֥ה 𐤄𐤉𐤄 hayah was already HVqp3ms בְ/מִצְרָֽיִם 𐤁/𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 vemitserayim in Egypt. HR/Np

And died Joseph and all his brothers, and all the generation that.

6 וַ/יָּ֤מָת 𐤅/𐤉𐤌𐤕 vayamat And died HC/Vqw3ms יוֹסֵף֙ 𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 yosef Joseph HNp וְ/כָל 𐤅/𐤊𐤋 vekhal and all HC/Ncmsc אֶחָ֔י/ו 𐤀𐤇𐤉/𐤅 echayv his brothers, HNcmpc/Sp3ms וְ/כֹ֖ל 𐤅/𐤊𐤋 vekhol and all HC/Ncmsc הַ/דּ֥וֹר 𐤄/𐤃𐤅𐤓 hador the generation HTd/Ncmsa הַ/הֽוּא 𐤄/𐤄𐤅𐤀 hahu that. HTd/Pp3ms

And the sons of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly and multiplied and grew exceedingly strong, very much, so that was filled the land with them.

7 וּ/בְנֵ֣י 𐤅/𐤁𐤍𐤉 uveney Bene (Bemba) And the sons of HC/Ncmpc יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 yiserael Israel HNp פָּר֧וּ 𐤐𐤓𐤅 paru were fruitful HVqp3cp וַֽ/יִּשְׁרְצ֛וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤑𐤅 vayisheretsu and increased abundantly HC/Vqw3mp וַ/יִּרְבּ֥וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤓𐤁𐤅 vayirebu and multiplied HC/Vqw3mp וַ/יַּֽעַצְמ֖וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤏𐤑𐤌𐤅 vayaatsemu and grew exceedingly strong, HC/Vqw3mp בִּ/מְאֹ֣ד 𐤁/𐤌𐤀𐤃 bimeod very HR/D מְאֹ֑ד 𐤌𐤀𐤃 meod much, HD וַ/תִּמָּלֵ֥א 𐤅/𐤕𐤌𐤋𐤀 vatimale so that was filled HC/VNw3fs הָ/אָ֖רֶץ 𐤄/𐤀𐤓𐤑 haarets the land HTd/Ncbsa אֹתָֽ/ם 𐤀𐤕/𐤌 otam with them. Now there arose a king new over Egypt, who did not know [object marker] Joseph.

8 וַ/יָּ֥קָם 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤌 vayaqam Now there arose HC/Vqw3ms מֶֽלֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe a king HNcmsa חָדָ֖שׁ 𐤇𐤃𐤔 chadash new HAamsa עַל 𐤏𐤋 al over HR מִצְרָ֑יִם 𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mitserayim Egypt, HNp אֲשֶׁ֥ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher who HTr לֹֽא 𐤋𐤀 lo did not HTn יָדַ֖ע 𐤉𐤃𐤏 yada know HVqp3ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et [object marker] HTo יוֹסֵֽף 𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 yosef Joseph. And he said to his people, Behold, the people of the sons of Israel are more and mightier than we.

9 וַ/יֹּ֖אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR עַמּ֑/וֹ 𐤏𐤌/𐤅 amo his people, HNcmsc/Sp3ms הִנֵּ֗ה 𐤄𐤍𐤄 hineh Behold, HTm עַ֚ם 𐤏𐤌 am the people of HNcmsc בְּנֵ֣י 𐤁𐤍𐤉 beney Bene (Bemba) the sons of HNcmpc יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 yiserael Israel HNp רַ֥ב 𐤓𐤁 rav are more HAamsa וְ/עָצ֖וּם 𐤅/𐤏𐤑𐤅𐤌 veatsum and mightier HC/Aamsa מִמֶּֽ/נּוּ 𐤌𐤌/𐤍𐤅 mimenu than we. HR/Sp1cp

Come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and it happen that when befalls war, they also join also themselves to our enemies, and fight against us and escape from the land.

10 הָ֥בָ/ה 𐤄𐤁/𐤄 havah Come, HVqv2ms/Sh נִֽתְחַכְּמָ֖ה 𐤍𐤕𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤄 nitechakemah let us deal shrewdly HVth1cp ל֑/וֹ 𐤋/𐤅 lo with them, HR/Sp3ms פֶּן 𐤐𐤍 pen lest HC יִרְבֶּ֗ה 𐤉𐤓𐤁𐤄 yirebeh they multiply, HVqi3ms וְ/הָיָ֞ה 𐤅/𐤄𐤉𐤄 vehayah and it happen HC/Vqq3ms כִּֽי 𐤊𐤉 ki that when HC תִקְרֶ֤אנָה 𐤕𐤒𐤓𐤀𐤍𐤄 tiqerenah befalls HVqi3fp מִלְחָמָה֙ 𐤌𐤋𐤇𐤌𐤄 milechamah war, HNcfsa וְ/נוֹסַ֤ף 𐤅/𐤍𐤅𐤎𐤐 venosaf they also join HC/VNq3ms גַּם 𐤂𐤌 gam also HTa הוּא֙ 𐤄𐤅𐤀 hu themselves HPp3ms עַל 𐤏𐤋 al to HR שֹׂ֣נְאֵ֔י/נוּ 𐤔𐤍𐤀𐤉/𐤍𐤅 soneeynu our enemies, HVqrmpc/Sp1cp וְ/נִלְחַם 𐤅/𐤍𐤋𐤇𐤌 venilecham and fight HC/VNq3ms בָּ֖/נוּ 𐤁/𐤍𐤅 banu against us HR/Sp1cp וְ/עָלָ֥ה 𐤅/𐤏𐤋𐤄 vealah and escape HC/Vqq3ms מִן 𐤌𐤍 min from HR הָ/אָֽרֶץ 𐤄/𐤀𐤓𐤑 haarets the land. So they set over them masters of forced labor in order to afflict them with their burdens. And they built cities of storage for Pharaoh: [object marker] Pithom and Raamses.

11 וַ/יָּשִׂ֤ימוּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤉𐤌𐤅 vayasimu So they set HC/Vqw3mp עָלָי/ו֙ 𐤏𐤋𐤉/𐤅 alayv over them HR/Sp3ms שָׂרֵ֣י 𐤔𐤓𐤉 sarey masters of HNcmpc מִסִּ֔ים 𐤌𐤎𐤉𐤌 misim forced labor HNcmpa לְמַ֥עַן 𐤋𐤌𐤏𐤍 lemaan in order to HR עַנֹּת֖/וֹ 𐤏𐤍𐤕/𐤅 anoto afflict them HVpc/Sp3ms בְּ/סִבְלֹתָ֑/ם 𐤁/𐤎𐤁𐤋𐤕/𐤌 besivelotam with their burdens. But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. So they were in dread because of the children of Israel.

12 וְ/כַ/אֲשֶׁר֙ 𐤅/𐤊/𐤀𐤔𐤓 vekhaasher But the more HC/R/Tr יְעַנּ֣וּ 𐤉𐤏𐤍𐤅 yeanu they afflicted HVpi3mp אֹת֔/וֹ 𐤀𐤕/𐤅 oto them, HTo/Sp3ms כֵּ֥ן 𐤊𐤍 ken the more HTm יִרְבֶּ֖ה 𐤉𐤓𐤁𐤄 yirebeh they multiplied HVqi3ms וְ/כֵ֣ן 𐤅/𐤊𐤍 vekhen and the more HC/Tm יִפְרֹ֑ץ 𐤉𐤐𐤓𐤑 yiferots they spread abroad. HVqi3ms וַ/יָּקֻ֕צוּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤑𐤅 vayaqutsu So they were in dread HC/Vqw3mp מִ/פְּנֵ֖י 𐤌/𐤐𐤍𐤉 mipeney because of HR/Ncbpc בְּנֵ֥י 𐤁𐤍𐤉 beney Bene (Bemba) the children of HNcmpc יִשְׂרָאֵֽל 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 yiserael Israel. So the Egyptians made serve the Egyptians the children of Israel with rigor.

13 וַ/יַּעֲבִ֧דוּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤅 vayaavidu So the Egyptians made serve HC/Vhw3mp מִצְרַ֛יִם 𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mitserayim the Egyptians HNp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et HTo בְּנֵ֥י 𐤁𐤍𐤉 beney Bene (Bemba) the children of HNcmpc יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 yiserael Israel HNp בְּ/פָֽרֶךְ 𐤁/𐤐𐤓𐤊 befarekhe with rigor. HR/Ncmsa

And they made bitter their lives with hard service, hard in mortar and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field; all their service in which they made them serve them with rigor.

14 וַ/יְמָרְר֨וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤌𐤓𐤓𐤅 vayemareru And they made bitter HC/Vpw3mp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et HTo חַיֵּי/הֶ֜ם 𐤇𐤉𐤉/𐤄𐤌 chayeyhem their lives HNcmpc/Sp3mp בַּ/עֲבֹדָ֣ה 𐤁/𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤄 baavodah with hard service, HR/Ncfsa קָשָׁ֗ה 𐤒𐤔𐤄 qashah hard HAafsa בְּ/חֹ֨מֶר֙ 𐤁/𐤇𐤌𐤓 bechomer in mortar HR/Ncmsa וּ/בִ/לְבֵנִ֔ים 𐤅/𐤁/𐤋𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤌 uvilevenim and in brick, HC/R/Ncfpa וּ/בְ/כָל 𐤅/𐤁/𐤊𐤋 uvekhal and in all manner of HC/R/Ncmsc עֲבֹדָ֖ה 𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤄 avodah service HNcfsa בַּ/שָּׂדֶ֑ה 𐤁/𐤔𐤃𐤄 basadeh in the field; HRd/Ncmsa אֵ֚ת 𐤀𐤕 et-2 HTo כָּל 𐤊𐤋 kal all HNcmsc עֲבֹ֣דָתָ֔/ם 𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤕/𐤌 avodatam their service HNcfsc/Sp3mp אֲשֶׁר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher in which HTr עָבְד֥וּ 𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤅 avedu they made them serve HVqp3cp בָ/הֶ֖ם 𐤁/𐤄𐤌 vahem them HR/Sp3mp בְּ/פָֽרֶךְ 𐤁/𐤐𐤓𐤊 befarekhe with rigor. HR/Ncmsa

And the king of Egypt spoke the king of Egypt to the midwives of the Hebrews, of whom the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah.

15 וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And the king of Egypt spoke HC/Vqw3ms מֶ֣לֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe the king of HNcmsc מִצְרַ֔יִם 𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mitserayim Egypt HNp לַֽ/מְיַלְּדֹ֖ת 𐤋/𐤌𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤕 lameyaledot to the midwives HRd/Vprfpa הָֽ/עִבְרִיֹּ֑ת 𐤄/𐤏𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤕 haiveriyot of the Hebrews, HTd/Ngfpa אֲשֶׁ֨ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher of whom HTr שֵׁ֤ם 𐤔𐤌 shem the name of HNcmsc הָֽ/אַחַת֙ 𐤄/𐤀𐤇𐤕 haachat Eka (Bemba) the one HTd/Acfsa שִׁפְרָ֔ה 𐤔𐤐𐤓𐤄 shiferah was Shiphrah, HNp וְ/שֵׁ֥ם 𐤅/𐤔𐤌 veshem and the name of HC/Ncmsc הַ/שֵּׁנִ֖ית 𐤄/𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤕 hashenit the other HTd/Aofsa פּוּעָֽה 𐤐𐤅𐤏𐤄 puah Puah. And he said, When you serve as midwife to the Hebrew women and look upon the birthstool, if it is a son, it is, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, it is, then she shall live.

16 וַ/יֹּ֗אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said, HC/Vqw3ms בְּ/יַלֶּדְ/כֶן֙ 𐤁/𐤉𐤋𐤃/𐤊𐤍 beyaledekhen When you serve as midwife HR/Vpc/Sp2fp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et HTo הָֽ/עִבְרִיּ֔וֹת 𐤄/𐤏𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤅𐤕 haiveriot to the Hebrew women HTd/Ngfpa וּ/רְאִיתֶ֖ן 𐤅/𐤓𐤀𐤉𐤕𐤍 ureiten and look HC/Vqq2fp עַל 𐤏𐤋 al upon HR הָ/אָבְנָ֑יִם 𐤄/𐤀𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤌 haavenayim the birthstool, HTd/Ncmda אִם 𐤀𐤌 im if HC בֵּ֥ן 𐤁𐤍 ben Bene (Bemba) it is a son, HNcmsa הוּא֙ 𐤄𐤅𐤀 hu it is, HPp3ms וַ/הֲמִתֶּ֣ן 𐤅/𐤄𐤌𐤕𐤍 vahamiten then you shall kill HC/Vhq2fp אֹת֔/וֹ 𐤀𐤕/𐤅 oto him; HTo/Sp3ms וְ/אִם 𐤅/𐤀𐤌 veim but if HC/C בַּ֥ת 𐤁𐤕 bat it is a daughter, HNcfsa הִ֖יא 𐤄𐤉𐤀 hi it is, HPp3fs וָ/חָֽיָה 𐤅/𐤇𐤉𐤄 vachayah then she shall live. But the midwives feared the midwives God and did not do as had spoken to them the king of Egypt; but they let live the male children.

17 וַ/תִּירֶ֤אןָ 𐤅/𐤕𐤉𐤓𐤀𐤍 vatirena But the midwives feared HC/Vqw3fp הַֽ/מְיַלְּדֹת֙ 𐤄/𐤌𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤕 hameyaledot the midwives HTd/Vprfpa אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et HTo הָ֣/אֱלֹהִ֔ים 𐤄/𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 haelohim Mulimu (Lozi) God HTd/Ncmpa וְ/לֹ֣א 𐤅/𐤋𐤀 velo and did not HC/Tn עָשׂ֔וּ 𐤏𐤔𐤅 asu do HVqp3cp כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֛ר 𐤊/𐤀𐤔𐤓 kaasher as HR/Tr דִּבֶּ֥ר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 diber had spoken HVpp3ms אֲלֵי/הֶ֖ן 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤄𐤍 aleyhen to them HR/Sp3fp מֶ֣לֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe the king of HNcmsc מִצְרָ֑יִם 𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mitserayim Egypt; HNp וַ/תְּחַיֶּ֖יןָ 𐤅/𐤕𐤇𐤉𐤉𐤍 vatechayeyna but they let live HC/Vpw3fp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et-2 HTo הַ/יְלָדִֽים 𐤄/𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤉𐤌 hayeladim the male children. HTd/Ncmpa

So the king of Egypt called the king of Egypt for the midwives and said to them, Why have you done this thing this, and have let live the male children?

18 וַ/יִּקְרָ֤א 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀 vayiqera So the king of Egypt called HC/Vqw3ms מֶֽלֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe the king of HNcmsc מִצְרַ֨יִם֙ 𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mitserayim Egypt HNp לַֽ/מְיַלְּדֹ֔ת 𐤋/𐤌𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤕 lameyaledot for the midwives HRd/Vprfpa וַ/יֹּ֣אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and said HC/Vqw3ms לָ/הֶ֔ן 𐤋/𐤄𐤍 lahen to them, HR/Sp3fp מַדּ֥וּעַ 𐤌𐤃𐤅𐤏 madua Why HTi עֲשִׂיתֶ֖ן 𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤕𐤍 asiten have you done HVqp2fp הַ/דָּבָ֣ר 𐤄/𐤃𐤁𐤓 hadavar this thing HTd/Ncmsa הַ/זֶּ֑ה 𐤄/𐤆𐤄 hazeh this, HTd/Pdxms וַ/תְּחַיֶּ֖יןָ 𐤅/𐤕𐤇𐤉𐤉𐤍 vatechayeyna and have let live HC/Vpw2fp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et HTo הַ/יְלָדִֽים 𐤄/𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤉𐤌 hayeladim the male children? HTd/Ncmpa

And the midwives said the midwives to Pharaoh, Because not like the Egyptian women the Egyptian are the Hebrew women; for they are vigorous they are; before comes to them the midwife, they have already given birth.

19 וַ/תֹּאמַ֤רְןָ 𐤅/𐤕𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤍 vatomarena And the midwives said HC/Vqw3fp הַֽ/מְיַלְּדֹת֙ 𐤄/𐤌𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤕 hameyaledot the midwives HTd/Vprfpa אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR פַּרְעֹ֔ה 𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 pareoh Pharaoh, HNp כִּ֣י 𐤊𐤉 ki Because HC לֹ֧א 𐤋𐤀 lo not HTn כַ/נָּשִׁ֛ים 𐤊/𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌 khanashim like the Egyptian women HRd/Ncfpa הַ/מִּצְרִיֹּ֖ת 𐤄/𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤕 hamitseriyot the Egyptian HTd/Ngfpa הָֽ/עִבְרִיֹּ֑ת 𐤄/𐤏𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤕 haiveriyot are the Hebrew women; HTd/Ngfpa כִּֽי 𐤊𐤉 ki-2 for HC חָי֣וֹת 𐤇𐤉𐤅𐤕 chayot they are vigorous HAafpa הֵ֔נָּה 𐤄𐤍𐤄 henah they are; HPp3fp בְּ/טֶ֨רֶם 𐤁/𐤈𐤓𐤌 beterem before HR/D תָּב֧וֹא 𐤕𐤁𐤅𐤀 tavo comes HVqi3fs אֲלֵ/הֶ֛ן 𐤀𐤋/𐤄𐤍 alehen to them HR/Sp3fp הַ/מְיַלֶּ֖דֶת 𐤄/𐤌𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤕 hameyaledet the midwife, HTd/Vprfsa וְ/יָלָֽדוּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤅 veyaladu they have already given birth. Therefore God dealt well God with the midwives. And the people multiplied the people and grew very mighty.

20 וַ/יֵּ֥יטֶב 𐤅/𐤉𐤉𐤈𐤁 vayeytev Therefore God dealt well HC/Vhw3ms אֱלֹהִ֖ים 𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 elohim Mulimu (Lozi) God HNcmpa לַֽ/מְיַלְּדֹ֑ת 𐤋/𐤌𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤕 lameyaledot with the midwives. And it came to pass, because feared the midwives God, that He made them households.

21 וַ/יְהִ֕י 𐤅/𐤉𐤄𐤉 vayehi And it came to pass, HC/Vqw3ms כִּֽי 𐤊𐤉 ki because HC יָֽרְא֥וּ 𐤉𐤓𐤀𐤅 yareu feared HVqp3cp הַֽ/מְיַלְּדֹ֖ת 𐤄/𐤌𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤕 hameyaledot the midwives HTd/Vprfpa אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et HTo הָ/אֱלֹהִ֑ים 𐤄/𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 haelohim Mulimu (Lozi) God, HTd/Ncmpa וַ/יַּ֥עַשׂ 𐤅/𐤉𐤏𐤔 vayaas that He made HC/Vqw3ms לָ/הֶ֖ם 𐤋/𐤄𐤌 lahem them HR/Sp3mp בָּתִּֽים 𐤁𐤕𐤉𐤌 batim households. And Pharaoh commanded Pharaoh all his people, saying, Every son who is born into the Nile you shall cast, but every daughter you shall let live.
