Jeremiah 23

YHWH condemns the shepherds (kings, priests, prophets) who scattered His flock, promising to gather the remnant, appoint faithful shepherds, and raise a righteous **Branch** from David who will reign in justice and execute righteousness over Judah and Israel.[1][2][3] The chapter denounces false prophets in Jerusalem for adultery, lies, and delusions, contrasting their dreams with YHWH's powerful word like fire and hammer, warning of judgment like wormwood and a whirlwind.[1][2][3]

Behold Look! days warm-days are coming coming ones declares utterance of YHWH the Being One and-I-will-raise-up and I will cause to stand to-David to David (the Beloved One) Branch sprout righteous a just man and-shall-reign and he reigned as king king king and-shall-deal-wisely and he acted with insight and-shall-execute and makes justice judgment and-righteousness and rightness in-the-land in the firm land
Verse 5 הִנֵּ֨ה 𐤄𐤍𐤄 hineh Behold Look! Concerning the prophets to the inspired spokesmen is broken he was shattered my heart my inner-heart within me my inward part tremble they hovered all whole-of my bones my very bones I have become I have come-to-be like a man as a man drunkard intoxicated man and like a mighty man and like a mighty-man whom it has passed over he crossed over him wine fermented wine because of from-the-faces-of YHWH the Being One and because of and from the faces the words words of his holiness his holiness

therefore for this established reason will be he will be their way their trodden path to them — like slippery places like slick-smooth places in darkness in the gloom-darkness they will be driven they will be thrust away and they will fall and they fell in it — for for (as reason or ground) I will bring father-of upon them upon them disaster calamity year cycle-year of of their visitation their visitation declaration utterance of YHWH the Being One

among the prophets and among the proclaimers-of of Jerusalem Founded-in-Peace (Dual City) I have seen I have seen a horrible thing a storming horror committing adultery an adultering man and walking and walking on in lies in the lie they strengthen and they made strong the hands hands of of evildoers those causing harm so that not to lack-of they return they turned back man individual man from his wickedness from his evil they have become they were to me — all of them all of them like Sodom like Scorched-Sedom and the inhabitants of and her dwelling-men like Gomorrah like ʿAmorah (the Ruin-Heap)
