Now it came to pass when David lived David in his house said David to Nathan the prophet Behold I dwell in a house of cedars but the ark of the covenant of YHWH under curtains

Then said Nathan to David all that is in your heart do for God is with you

And it came to pass in the night that that came the word of God to Nathan saying

3 וַֽ/יְהִ֖י 𐤅/𐤉𐤄𐤉 vayehi And it came to pass HC/Vqw3ms בַּ/לַּ֣יְלָה 𐤁/𐤋𐤉𐤋𐤄 balayelah in the night HRd/Ncmsa הַ/ה֑וּא 𐤄/𐤄𐤅𐤀 hahu that HTd/Pp3ms וַ/יְהִי֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤄𐤉 vayehi-2 that came HC/Vqw3ms דְּבַר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 devar the word HNcmsc אֱלֹהִ֔ים 𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 elohim Mulimu (Lozi) of God HNcmpa אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR נָתָ֖ן 𐤍𐤕𐤍 natan Nathan HNp לֵ/אמֹֽר 𐤋/𐤀𐤌𐤓 lemor saying HR/Vqc

Go and-say to David my-servant Thus says YHWH not you will-build for-me the-house to-dwell-in

4 לֵ֤ךְ 𐤋𐤊 lekhe Go HVqv2ms וְ/אָמַרְתָּ֙ 𐤅/𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤕 veamareta and-say HC/Vqq2ms אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR דָּוִ֣יד 𐤃𐤅𐤉𐤃 david David HNp עַבְדִּ֔/י 𐤏𐤁𐤃/𐤉 avedi my-servant HNcmsc/Sp1cs כֹּ֖ה 𐤊𐤄 koh Thus HD אָמַ֣ר 𐤀𐤌𐤓 amar says HVqp3ms יְהוָ֑ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp לֹ֥א 𐤋𐤀 lo not HTn אַתָּ֛ה 𐤀𐤕𐤄 atah you HPp2ms תִּבְנֶה 𐤕𐤁𐤍𐤄 tiveneh will-build HVqi2ms לִּ֥/י 𐤋/𐤉 li for-me HR/Sp1cs הַ/בַּ֖יִת 𐤄/𐤁𐤉𐤕 habayit the-house HTd/Ncmsa לָ/שָֽׁבֶת 𐤋/𐤔𐤁𐤕 lashavet to-dwell-in HR/Vqc

for not I have dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up Israel until this day this but I have been from tent to tent and from tabernacle

in all where I have walked with all Israel a word I spoke with any of the judges Israel whom I commanded to shepherd - my people saying why not have you built for me a house of cedars

Now therefore thus you shall say to my servant to David Thus says YHWH of hosts I took you from the pasture from following the flock to be leader over my people Israel

7 וְ֠/עַתָּה 𐤅/𐤏𐤕𐤄 veatah Now therefore HC/D כֹּֽה 𐤊𐤄 koh thus HD תֹאמַ֞ר 𐤕𐤀𐤌𐤓 tomar you shall say HVqi2ms לְ/עַבְדִּ֣/י 𐤋/𐤏𐤁𐤃/𐤉 leavedi to my servant HR/Ncmsc/Sp1cs לְ/דָוִ֗יד 𐤋/𐤃𐤅𐤉𐤃 ledavid to David HR/Np כֹּ֤ה 𐤊𐤄 koh-2 Thus HD אָמַר֙ 𐤀𐤌𐤓 amar says HVqp3ms יְהוָ֣ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp צְבָא֔וֹת 𐤑𐤁𐤀𐤅𐤕 tsevaot of hosts HNcbpa אֲנִ֤י 𐤀𐤍𐤉 ani I HPp1cs לְקַחְתִּ֨י/ךָ֙ 𐤋𐤒𐤇𐤕𐤉/𐤊 leqachetikha took you HVqp1cs/Sp2ms מִן 𐤌𐤍 min from HR הַ/נָּוֶ֔ה 𐤄/𐤍𐤅𐤄 hanaveh the pasture HTd/Ncbsa מִֽן 𐤌𐤍 min-2 from HR אַחֲרֵ֖י 𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉 acharey following HR הַ/צֹּ֑אן 𐤄/𐤑𐤀𐤍 hatson the flock HTd/Ncbsa לִ/הְי֣וֹת 𐤋/𐤄𐤉𐤅𐤕 liheyot to be HR/Vqc נָגִ֔יד 𐤍𐤂𐤉𐤃 nagid leader HNcmsa עַ֖ל 𐤏𐤋 al over HR עַמִּ֥/י 𐤏𐤌/𐤉 ami my people HNcmsc/Sp1cs יִשְׂרָאֵֽל 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 yiserael Israel HNp

and-I-have-been with-you in-all that you-have-gone and-I-have-cut-off [direct object marker] all your-enemies from-before-you and-I-will-make for-you a-name like-name the-great-ones that in-the-earth

8 וָֽ/אֶהְיֶ֣ה 𐤅/𐤀𐤄𐤉𐤄 vaeheyeh and-I-have-been HC/Vqw1cs עִמְּ/ךָ֗ 𐤏𐤌/𐤊 imekha with-you HR/Sp2ms בְּ/כֹל֙ 𐤁/𐤊𐤋 bekhol in-all HR/Ncmsa אֲשֶׁ֣ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr הָלַ֔כְתָּ 𐤄𐤋𐤊𐤕 halakheta you-have-gone HVqp2ms וָ/אַכְרִ֥ית 𐤅/𐤀𐤊𐤓𐤉𐤕 vaakherit and-I-have-cut-off HC/Vhw1cs אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et [direct object marker] HTo כָּל 𐤊𐤋 kal all HNcmsc אוֹיְבֶ֖י/ךָ 𐤀𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤉/𐤊 oyeveykha your-enemies HVqrmpc/Sp2ms מִ/פָּנֶ֑י/ךָ 𐤌/𐤐𐤍𐤉/𐤊 mipaneykha from-before-you HR/Ncbpc/Sp2ms וְ/עָשִׂ֤יתִֽי 𐤅/𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤕𐤉 veasiti and-I-will-make HC/Vqq1cs לְ/ךָ֙ 𐤋/𐤊 lekha for-you HR/Sp2ms שֵׁ֔ם 𐤔𐤌 shem a-name HNcmsa כְּ/שֵׁ֥ם 𐤊/𐤔𐤌 keshem like-name HR/Ncmsc הַ/גְּדוֹלִ֖ים 𐤄/𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤋𐤉𐤌 hagedolim the-great-ones HTd/Aampa אֲשֶׁ֥ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher-2 that HTr בָּ/אָֽרֶץ 𐤁/𐤀𐤓𐤑 baarets in-the-earth HRd/Ncbsa

And I will appoint a place for my people Israel and will plant them and they shall dwell in their place and no shall be disturbed more and no shall add sons of wickedness to waste them as formerly

9 וְ/שַׂמְתִּ֣י 𐤅/𐤔𐤌𐤕𐤉 vesameti And I will appoint HC/Vqq1cs מָ֠קוֹם 𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌 maqom a place HNcmsa לְ/עַמִּ֨/י 𐤋/𐤏𐤌/𐤉 leami for my people HR/Ncmsc/Sp1cs יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 yiserael Israel HNp וּ/נְטַעְתִּ֨י/הוּ֙ 𐤅/𐤍𐤈𐤏𐤕𐤉/𐤄𐤅 unetaetihu and will plant them HC/Vqq1cs/Sp3ms וְ/שָׁכַ֣ן 𐤅/𐤔𐤊𐤍 veshakhan and they shall dwell HC/Vqq3ms תַּחְתָּ֔י/ו 𐤕𐤇𐤕𐤉/𐤅 tachetayv in their place HR/Sp3ms וְ/לֹ֥א 𐤅/𐤋𐤀 velo and no HC/Tn יִרְגַּ֖ז 𐤉𐤓𐤂𐤆 yiregaz shall be disturbed HVqi3ms ע֑וֹד 𐤏𐤅𐤃 od more HD וְ/לֹא 𐤅/𐤋𐤀 velo-2 and no HC/Tn יוֹסִ֤יפוּ 𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤉𐤐𐤅 yosifu shall add HVhi3mp בְנֵי 𐤁𐤍𐤉 veney Bene (Bemba) sons of HNcmpc עַוְלָה֙ 𐤏𐤅𐤋𐤄 avelah wickedness HNcbsa לְ/בַלֹּת֔/וֹ 𐤋/𐤁𐤋𐤕/𐤅 levaloto to waste them HR/Vpc/Sp3ms כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֖ר 𐤊/𐤀𐤔𐤓 kaasher as HR/Tr בָּ/רִאשׁוֹנָֽה 𐤁/𐤓𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤍𐤄 barishonah formerly HRd/Aafsa

and-from-days that I-commanded judges over my-people Israel and-I-will-subdue [direct object marker] all your-enemies and-I-tell to-you and-house he-will-build for-you YHWH

and it will be when are fulfilled your days to go with your fathers then I will raise up direct object marker your seed after you who shall be of your sons and I will establish direct object marker his kingdom

11 וְ/הָיָ֗ה 𐤅/𐤄𐤉𐤄 vehayah and it will be HC/Vqq3ms כִּֽי 𐤊𐤉 ki when HC מָלְא֤וּ 𐤌𐤋𐤀𐤅 maleu are fulfilled HVqp3cp יָמֶ֨י/ךָ֙ 𐤉𐤌𐤉/𐤊 yameykha your days HNcmpc/Sp2ms לָ/לֶ֣כֶת 𐤋/𐤋𐤊𐤕 lalekhet to go HR/Vqc עִם 𐤏𐤌 im with HR אֲבֹתֶ֔י/ךָ 𐤀𐤁𐤕𐤉/𐤊 avoteykha your fathers HNcmpc/Sp2ms וַ/הֲקִֽימוֹתִ֤י 𐤅/𐤄𐤒𐤉𐤌𐤅𐤕𐤉 vahaqimoti then I will raise up HC/Vhq1cs אֶֽת 𐤀𐤕 et direct object marker HTo זַרְעֲ/ךָ֙ 𐤆𐤓𐤏/𐤊 zareakha your seed HNcmsc/Sp2ms אַחֲרֶ֔י/ךָ 𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉/𐤊 achareykha after you HR/Sp2ms אֲשֶׁ֥ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher who HTr יִהְיֶ֖ה 𐤉𐤄𐤉𐤄 yiheyeh shall be HVqi3ms מִ/בָּנֶ֑י/ךָ 𐤌/𐤁𐤍𐤉/𐤊 mibaneykha Bene (Bemba) of your sons HR/Ncmpc/Sp2ms וַ/הֲכִינוֹתִ֖י 𐤅/𐤄𐤊𐤉𐤍𐤅𐤕𐤉 vahakhinoti and I will establish HC/Vhq1cs אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et-2 direct object marker HTo מַלְכוּתֽ/וֹ 𐤌𐤋𐤊𐤅𐤕/𐤅 malekhuto his kingdom HNcfsc/Sp3ms

He shall build for me a house and I will establish his throne until forever

12 ה֥וּא 𐤄𐤅𐤀 hu He HPp3ms יִבְנֶה 𐤉𐤁𐤍𐤄 yiveneh shall build HVqi3ms לִּ֖/י 𐤋/𐤉 li for me HR/Sp1cs בָּ֑יִת 𐤁𐤉𐤕 bayit a house HNcmsa וְ/כֹנַנְתִּ֥י 𐤅/𐤊𐤍𐤍𐤕𐤉 vekhonaneti and I will establish HC/Voq1cs אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et HTo כִּסְא֖/וֹ 𐤊𐤎𐤀/𐤅 kiseo his throne HNcmsc/Sp3ms עַד 𐤏𐤃 ad until HR עוֹלָֽם 𐤏𐤅𐤋𐤌 olam forever HNcmsa

I will be to him a father and he shall be to me a son and my mercy not will I take away from him as I took away from whom was before you

13 אֲנִי֙ 𐤀𐤍𐤉 ani I HPp1cs אֶֽהְיֶה 𐤀𐤄𐤉𐤄 eheyeh will be HVqi1cs לּ֣/וֹ 𐤋/𐤅 lo to him HR/Sp3ms לְ/אָ֔ב 𐤋/𐤀𐤁 leav a father HR/Ncmsa וְ/ה֖וּא 𐤅/𐤄𐤅𐤀 vehu and he HC/Pp3ms יִֽהְיֶה 𐤉𐤄𐤉𐤄 yiheyeh shall be HVqi3ms לִּ֣/י 𐤋/𐤉 li to me HR/Sp1cs לְ/בֵ֑ן 𐤋/𐤁𐤍 leven Bene (Bemba) a son HR/Ncmsa וְ/חַסְדִּ/י֙ 𐤅/𐤇𐤎𐤃/𐤉 vechasedi and my mercy HC/Ncmsc/Sp1cs לֹא 𐤋𐤀 lo-2 not HTn אָסִ֣יר 𐤀𐤎𐤉𐤓 asir will I take away HVhi1cs מֵֽ/עִמּ֔/וֹ 𐤌/𐤏𐤌/𐤅 meimo from him HR/R/Sp3ms כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֣ר 𐤊/𐤀𐤔𐤓 kaasher as HR/Tr הֲסִיר֔וֹתִי 𐤄𐤎𐤉𐤓𐤅𐤕𐤉 hasiroti I took away HVhp1cs מֵ/אֲשֶׁ֥ר 𐤌/𐤀𐤔𐤓 measher from whom HR/Tr הָיָ֖ה 𐤄𐤉𐤄 hayah was HVqp3ms לְ/פָנֶֽי/ךָ 𐤋/𐤐𐤍𐤉/𐤊 lefaneykha before you HR/Ncbpc/Sp2ms

and I will set him in my house and in my kingdom until the age and his throne will be established until age
