words of Amos who was among the sheep breeders from Tekoa who he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash king of Israel two years before the earthquake

1 דִּבְרֵ֣י 𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤉 diverey words of HNcmpc עָמ֔וֹס 𐤏𐤌𐤅𐤎 amos Amos HNp אֲשֶׁר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher who HTr הָיָ֥ה 𐤄𐤉𐤄 hayah was HVqp3ms בַ/נֹּקְדִ֖ים 𐤁/𐤍𐤒𐤃𐤉𐤌 vanoqedim among the sheep breeders HRd/Ncmpa מִ/תְּק֑וֹעַ 𐤌/𐤕𐤒𐤅𐤏 miteqoa from Tekoa HR/Np אֲשֶׁר֩ 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher-2 who HTr חָזָ֨ה 𐤇𐤆𐤄 chazah he saw HVqp3ms עַל 𐤏𐤋 al concerning HR יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 yiserael Israel HNp בִּ/ימֵ֣י 𐤁/𐤉𐤌𐤉 bimey in the days of HR/Ncmpc עֻזִיָּ֣ה 𐤏𐤆𐤉𐤄 uziyah Uzziah HNp מֶֽלֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe king HNcmsc יְהוּדָ֗ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤄 yehudah of Judah HNp וּ/בִ/ימֵ֞י 𐤅/𐤁/𐤉𐤌𐤉 uvimey and in the days of HC/R/Ncmpc יָרָבְעָ֤ם 𐤉𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤌 yaraveam Jeroboam HNp בֶּן 𐤁𐤍 ben Bene (Bemba) son of HNcmsc יוֹאָשׁ֙ 𐤉𐤅𐤀𐤔 yoash Joash HNp מֶ֣לֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe-2 king HNcmsc יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 yiserael-2 of Israel HNp שְׁנָתַ֖יִם 𐤔𐤍𐤕𐤉𐤌 shenatayim two years HNcfda לִ/פְנֵ֥י 𐤋/𐤐𐤍𐤉 lifeney before HR/Ncbpc הָ/רָֽעַשׁ 𐤄/𐤓𐤏𐤔 haraash the earthquake HTd/Ncmsa

And he said YHWH from Zion will roar and from Jerusalem He utters his voice and shall mourn the pastures of the shepherds and shall wither the top of Carmel

Thus says YHWH For three transgressions Damascus and for four not I will turn it back because they threshed them with threshing sledges of iron [direct object marker] Gilead

and I will break the bar of Damascus and I will cut off the inhabitant from the valley of Aven and the one who holds the scepter from house of Eden and will go into exile the people of Aram to Kir says YHWH

and-I-will-send fire into/on-the-wall-of Gaza and-it-will-consume/devour her-citadels/palaces

7 וְ/שִׁלַּ֥חְתִּי 𐤅/𐤔𐤋𐤇𐤕𐤉 veshilacheti and-I-will-send HC/Vpq1cs אֵ֖שׁ 𐤀𐤔 esh fire HNcbsa בְּ/חוֹמַ֣ת 𐤁/𐤇𐤅𐤌𐤕 bechomat into/on-the-wall-of HR/Ncfsc עַזָּ֑ה 𐤏𐤆𐤄 azah Gaza HNp וְ/אָכְלָ֖ה 𐤅/𐤀𐤊𐤋𐤄 veakhelah and-it-will-consume/devour HC/Vqq3fs אַרְמְנֹתֶֽי/הָ 𐤀𐤓𐤌𐤍𐤕𐤉/𐤄 aremenoteyha her-citadels/palaces HNcmpc/Sp3fs

and-I-will-cut-off inhabitant from Ashdod and-the-one-holding scepter from Ashkelon and-I-will-turn-back my hand against Ekron and-they-will-perish remnant of Philistines has-said Lord YHWH

Thus says YHWH concerning three transgressions of Edom and for four not I will revoke it because he pursued him with the sword his brother and he destroyed his compassion and it tore continually his anger and his wrath he kept it forever

and-I-will-send fire upon-Teman and-it-will-devour palaces of-Bozrah

12 וְ/שִׁלַּ֥חְתִּי 𐤅/𐤔𐤋𐤇𐤕𐤉 veshilacheti and-I-will-send HC/Vpq1cs אֵ֖שׁ 𐤀𐤔 esh fire HNcbsa בְּ/תֵימָ֑ן 𐤁/𐤕𐤉𐤌𐤍 beteyman upon-Teman HR/Np וְ/אָכְלָ֖ה 𐤅/𐤀𐤊𐤋𐤄 veakhelah and-it-will-devour HC/Vqq3fs אַרְמְנ֥וֹת 𐤀𐤓𐤌𐤍𐤅𐤕 aremenot palaces HNcmpc בָּצְרָֽה 𐤁𐤑𐤓𐤄 batserah of-Bozrah HNp

Thus says YHWH for three transgressions children Ammon and for four not I will turn away it because they have ripped open them pregnant women of Gilead in order to enlarge - their border

and-I-will-kindle fire in-wall-of Rabbah and-it-will-devour palaces-of-her with-shouting in-day-of battle with-tempest in-day-of whirlwind

14 וְ/הִצַּ֤תִּי 𐤅/𐤄𐤑𐤕𐤉 vehitsati and-I-will-kindle HC/Vhq1cs אֵשׁ֙ 𐤀𐤔 esh fire HNcbsa בְּ/חוֹמַ֣ת 𐤁/𐤇𐤅𐤌𐤕 bechomat in-wall-of HR/Ncfsc רַבָּ֔ה 𐤓𐤁𐤄 rabah Rabbah HNp וְ/אָכְלָ֖ה 𐤅/𐤀𐤊𐤋𐤄 veakhelah and-it-will-devour HC/Vqq3fs אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֑י/הָ 𐤀𐤓𐤌𐤍𐤅𐤕𐤉/𐤄 aremenoteyha palaces-of-her HNcmpc/Sp3fs בִּ/תְרוּעָה֙ 𐤁/𐤕𐤓𐤅𐤏𐤄 biteruah with-shouting HR/Ncfsa בְּ/י֣וֹם 𐤁/𐤉𐤅𐤌 beyom in-day-of HR/Ncmsc מִלְחָמָ֔ה 𐤌𐤋𐤇𐤌𐤄 milechamah battle HNcfsa בְּ/סַ֖עַר 𐤁/𐤎𐤏𐤓 besaar with-tempest HR/Ncmsa בְּ/י֥וֹם 𐤁/𐤉𐤅𐤌 beyom-2 in-day-of HR/Ncmsc סוּפָֽה 𐤎𐤅𐤐𐤄 sufah whirlwind HNcfsa

and-he-will-go their-king into-exile he and-his-princes together says YHWH
