Jonah 3

And it was the word of YHWH to Jonah second saying

1 וַ/יְהִ֧י 𐤅/𐤉𐤄𐤉 vayehi And it was HC/Vqw3ms דְבַר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 devar the word HNcmsc יְהוָ֛ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) of YHWH HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR יוֹנָ֖ה 𐤉𐤅𐤍𐤄 yonah Jonah HNp שֵׁנִ֥ית 𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤕 shenit second HAofsa לֵ/אמֹֽר 𐤋/𐤀𐤌𐤓 lemor saying HR/Vqc

Arise go to Nineveh the city the great and proclaim to it [direct object marker] the proclamation that I am telling to you

2 ק֛וּם 𐤒𐤅𐤌 qum Arise HVqv2ms לֵ֥ךְ 𐤋𐤊 lekhe go HVqv2ms אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR נִֽינְוֵ֖ה 𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤅𐤄 nineveh Nineveh HNp הָ/עִ֣יר 𐤄/𐤏𐤉𐤓 hair the city HTd/Ncfsa הַ/גְּדוֹלָ֑ה 𐤄/𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤋𐤄 hagedolah the great HTd/Aafsa וִּ/קְרָ֤א 𐤅/𐤒𐤓𐤀 viqera and proclaim HC/Vqv2ms אֵלֶ֨י/הָ֙ 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤄 eleyha to it HR/Sp3fs אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et [direct object marker] HTo הַ/קְּרִיאָ֔ה 𐤄/𐤒𐤓𐤉𐤀𐤄 haqeriah the proclamation HTd/Ncfsa אֲשֶׁ֥ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr אָנֹכִ֖י 𐤀𐤍𐤊𐤉 anokhi I HPp1cs דֹּבֵ֥ר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 dover am telling HVqrmsa אֵלֶֽי/ךָ 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤊 eleykha to you HR/Sp2ms

and Jonah arose Jonah and went to Nineveh according to the word of YHWH and Nineveh was a city great to God journey three days

3 וַ/יָּ֣קָם 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤌 vayaqam and Jonah arose HC/Vqw3ms יוֹנָ֗ה 𐤉𐤅𐤍𐤄 yonah Jonah HNp וַ/יֵּ֛לֶךְ 𐤅/𐤉𐤋𐤊 vayelekhe and went HC/Vqw3ms אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR נִֽינְוֶ֖ה 𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤅𐤄 nineveh Nineveh HNp כִּ/דְבַ֣ר 𐤊/𐤃𐤁𐤓 kidevar according to the word HR/Ncmsc יְהוָ֑ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) of YHWH HNp וְ/נִֽינְוֵ֗ה 𐤅/𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤅𐤄 venineveh and Nineveh HC/Np הָיְתָ֤ה 𐤄𐤉𐤕𐤄 hayetah was HVqp3fs עִיר 𐤏𐤉𐤓 ir a city HNcfsa גְּדוֹלָה֙ 𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤋𐤄 gedolah great HAafsa לֵֽ/אלֹהִ֔ים 𐤋/𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 lelohim Mulimu (Lozi) to God HR/Ncmpa מַהֲלַ֖ךְ 𐤌𐤄𐤋𐤊 mahalakhe journey HNcmsc שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת 𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤕 sheloshet three HAcmsc יָמִֽים 𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 yamim days HNcmpa

And Jonah began Jonah to go into the city a journey of day one and he cried and said Yet forty days and Nineveh shall be overthrown

4 וַ/יָּ֤חֶל 𐤅/𐤉𐤇𐤋 vayachel And Jonah began HC/Vhw3ms יוֹנָה֙ 𐤉𐤅𐤍𐤄 yonah Jonah HNp לָ/ב֣וֹא 𐤋/𐤁𐤅𐤀 lavo to go HR/Vqc בָ/עִ֔יר 𐤁/𐤏𐤉𐤓 vair into the city HRd/Ncfsa מַהֲלַ֖ךְ 𐤌𐤄𐤋𐤊 mahalakhe a journey HNcmsc י֣וֹם 𐤉𐤅𐤌 yom of day HNcmsa אֶחָ֑ד 𐤀𐤇𐤃 echad Eka (Bemba) one HAcmsa וַ/יִּקְרָא֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀 vayiqera and he cried HC/Vqw3ms וַ/יֹּאמַ֔ר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomar and said HC/Vqw3ms ע֚וֹד 𐤏𐤅𐤃 od Yet HD אַרְבָּעִ֣ים 𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 arebaim forty HAcbpa י֔וֹם 𐤉𐤅𐤌 yom-2 days HNcmsa וְ/נִֽינְוֵ֖ה 𐤅/𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤅𐤄 venineveh and Nineveh HC/Np נֶהְפָּֽכֶת 𐤍𐤄𐤐𐤊𐤕 nehepakhet shall be overthrown HVNrfsa

and believed the men of Nineveh in God and proclaimed a fast and put on sackcloth from the greatest of them even to the least of them

5 וַֽ/יַּאֲמִ֛ינוּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤉𐤍𐤅 vayaaminu and believed HC/Vhw3mp אַנְשֵׁ֥י 𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉 aneshey the men of HNcmpc נִֽינְוֵ֖ה 𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤅𐤄 nineveh Nineveh HNp בֵּֽ/אלֹהִ֑ים 𐤁/𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 belohim Mulimu (Lozi) in God HR/Ncmpa וַ/יִּקְרְאוּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀𐤅 vayiqereu and proclaimed HC/Vqw3mp צוֹם֙ 𐤑𐤅𐤌 tsom a fast HNcmsa וַ/יִּלְבְּשׁ֣וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤋𐤁𐤔𐤅 vayilebeshu and put on HC/Vqw3mp שַׂקִּ֔ים 𐤔𐤒𐤉𐤌 saqim sackcloth HNcmpa מִ/גְּדוֹלָ֖/ם 𐤌/𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤋/𐤌 migedolam from the greatest of them HR/Aamsc/Sp3mp וְ/עַד 𐤅/𐤏𐤃 vead even to HR/R קְטַנָּֽ/ם 𐤒𐤈𐤍/𐤌 qetanam the least of them HAamsc/Sp3mp

and reached the word to king of Nineveh and he arose from his throne and he laid aside his robe from upon him and he covered with sackcloth and sat in ashes

6 וַ/יִּגַּ֤ע 𐤅/𐤉𐤂𐤏 vayiga and reached HC/Vqw3ms הַ/דָּבָר֙ 𐤄/𐤃𐤁𐤓 hadavar the word HTd/Ncmsa אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR מֶ֣לֶך 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekh king HNcmsc נִֽינְוֵ֔ה 𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤅𐤄 nineveh of Nineveh HNp וַ/יָּ֨קָם֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤌 vayaqam and he arose HC/Vqw3ms מִ/כִּסְא֔/וֹ 𐤌/𐤊𐤎𐤀/𐤅 mikiseo from his throne HR/Ncmsc/Sp3ms וַ/יַּעֲבֵ֥ר 𐤅/𐤉𐤏𐤁𐤓 vayaaver and he laid aside HC/Vhw3ms אַדַּרְתּ֖/וֹ 𐤀𐤃𐤓𐤕/𐤅 adareto his robe HNcfsc/Sp3ms מֵֽ/עָלָ֑י/ו 𐤌/𐤏𐤋𐤉/𐤅 mealayv from upon him HR/R/Sp3ms וַ/יְכַ֣ס 𐤅/𐤉𐤊𐤎 vayekhas and he covered HC/Vpw3ms שַׂ֔ק 𐤔𐤒 saq with sackcloth HNcmsa וַ/יֵּ֖שֶׁב 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤁 vayeshev and sat HC/Vqw3ms עַל 𐤏𐤋 al in HR הָ/אֵֽפֶר 𐤄/𐤀𐤐𐤓 haefer ashes HTd/Ncmsa

and he cried out and he said in Nineveh by decree of the king and his nobles saying man and the beast the herd and the flock let not taste anything let not graze and water let not drink

7 וַ/יַּזְעֵ֗ק 𐤅/𐤉𐤆𐤏𐤒 vayazeeq and he cried out HC/Vhw3ms וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and he said HC/Vqw3ms בְּ/נִֽינְוֵ֔ה 𐤁/𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤅𐤄 benineveh in Nineveh HR/Np מִ/טַּ֧עַם 𐤌/𐤈𐤏𐤌 mitaam by decree HR/Ncmsc הַ/מֶּ֛לֶךְ 𐤄/𐤌𐤋𐤊 hamelekhe of the king HTd/Ncmsa וּ/גְדֹלָ֖י/ו 𐤅/𐤂𐤃𐤋𐤉/𐤅 ugedolayv and his nobles HC/Aampc/Sp3ms לֵ/אמֹ֑ר 𐤋/𐤀𐤌𐤓 lemor saying HR/Vqc הָ/אָדָ֨ם 𐤄/𐤀𐤃𐤌 haadam man HTd/Ncmsa וְ/הַ/בְּהֵמָ֜ה 𐤅/𐤄/𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤄 vehabehemah and the beast HC/Td/Ncfsa הַ/בָּקָ֣ר 𐤄/𐤁𐤒𐤓 habaqar the herd HTd/Ncbsa וְ/הַ/צֹּ֗אן 𐤅/𐤄/𐤑𐤀𐤍 vehatson and the flock HC/Td/Ncbsa אַֽל 𐤀𐤋 al let not HTn יִטְעֲמוּ֙ 𐤉𐤈𐤏𐤌𐤅 yiteamu taste HVqj3mp מְא֔וּמָה 𐤌𐤀𐤅𐤌𐤄 meumah anything HNcfsa אַ֨ל 𐤀𐤋 al-2 let not HTn יִרְע֔וּ 𐤉𐤓𐤏𐤅 yireu graze HVqj3mp וּ/מַ֖יִם 𐤅/𐤌𐤉𐤌 umayim Amanzi (Zulu) and water HC/Ncmsa אַל 𐤀𐤋 al-3 let not HTn יִשְׁתּֽוּ 𐤉𐤔𐤕𐤅 yishetu drink HVqj3mp

and let them cover themselves with sackcloth the man and the beast and let them call to God earnestly and let them return each man from his way the evil and from the violence that in their hands

8 וְ/יִתְכַּסּ֣וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤕𐤊𐤎𐤅 veyitekasu and let them cover themselves HC/Vti3mp שַׂקִּ֗ים 𐤔𐤒𐤉𐤌 saqim with sackcloth HNcmpa הָֽ/אָדָם֙ 𐤄/𐤀𐤃𐤌 haadam the man HTd/Ncmsa וְ/הַ/בְּהֵמָ֔ה 𐤅/𐤄/𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤄 vehabehemah and the beast HC/Td/Ncfsa וְ/יִקְרְא֥וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀𐤅 veyiqereu and let them call HC/Vqi3mp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR אֱלֹהִ֖ים 𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 elohim Mulimu (Lozi) God HNcmpa בְּ/חָזְקָ֑ה 𐤁/𐤇𐤆𐤒𐤄 bechazeqah earnestly HR/Ncfsa וְ/יָשֻׁ֗בוּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤁𐤅 veyashuvu and let them return HC/Vqi3mp אִ֚ישׁ 𐤀𐤉𐤔 ish each man HNcmsa מִ/דַּרְכּ֣/וֹ 𐤌/𐤃𐤓𐤊/𐤅 midareko from his way HR/Ncbsc/Sp3ms הָֽ/רָעָ֔ה 𐤄/𐤓𐤏𐤄 haraah the evil HTd/Aafsa וּ/מִן 𐤅/𐤌𐤍 umin and from HC/R הֶ/חָמָ֖ס 𐤄/𐤇𐤌𐤎 hechamas the violence HTd/Ncmsa אֲשֶׁ֥ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr בְּ/כַפֵּי/הֶֽם 𐤁/𐤊𐤐𐤉/𐤄𐤌 bekhapeyhem in their hands HR/Ncfdc/Sp3mp

Who knows may return and relent God and turn from burning anger and not perish

9 מִֽי 𐤌𐤉 mi Who HTi יוֹדֵ֣עַ 𐤉𐤅𐤃𐤏 yodea knows HVqrmsa יָשׁ֔וּב 𐤉𐤔𐤅𐤁 yashuv may return HVqi3ms וְ/נִחַ֖ם 𐤅/𐤍𐤇𐤌 venicham and relent HC/VNq3ms הָ/אֱלֹהִ֑ים 𐤄/𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 haelohim Mulimu (Lozi) God HTd/Ncmpa וְ/שָׁ֛ב 𐤅/𐤔𐤁 veshav and turn HC/Vqq3ms מֵ/חֲר֥וֹן 𐤌/𐤇𐤓𐤅𐤍 mecharon from burning HR/Ncmsc אַפּ֖/וֹ 𐤀𐤐/𐤅 apo anger HNcmsc/Sp3ms וְ/לֹ֥א 𐤅/𐤋𐤀 velo and not HC/Tn נֹאבֵֽד 𐤍𐤀𐤁𐤃 noved perish HVqi1cp

and saw God [direct object marker] their works that they turned from their way the evil and relented God concerning the evil that he had said to do to them and not he did
