Isaiah 37

And it came to pass when he heard the king Hezekiah he tore [direct object marker] his clothes and covered himself with sackcloth and he went house of YHWH

1 וַ/יְהִ֗י 𐤅/𐤉𐤄𐤉 vayehi And it came to pass HC/Vqw3ms כִּ/שְׁמֹ֨עַ֙ 𐤊/𐤔𐤌𐤏 kishemoa when he heard HR/Vqc הַ/מֶּ֣לֶךְ 𐤄/𐤌𐤋𐤊 hamelekhe the king HTd/Ncmsa חִזְקִיָּ֔הוּ 𐤇𐤆𐤒𐤉𐤄𐤅 chizeqiyahu Hezekiah HNp וַ/יִּקְרַ֖ע 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤏 vayiqera he tore HC/Vqw3ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et [direct object marker] HTo בְּגָדָ֑י/ו 𐤁𐤂𐤃𐤉/𐤅 begadayv his clothes HNcmpc/Sp3ms וַ/יִּתְכַּ֣ס 𐤅/𐤉𐤕𐤊𐤎 vayitekas and covered himself HC/Vtw3ms בַּ/שָּׂ֔ק 𐤁/𐤔𐤒 basaq with sackcloth HRd/Ncmsa וַ/יָּבֹ֖א 𐤅/𐤉𐤁𐤀 vayavo and he went HC/Vqw3ms בֵּ֥ית 𐤁𐤉𐤕 beyt house HNcmsc יְהוָֽה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) of YHWH HNp

And he sent Eliakim Eliakim who was over the household and Shebna the scribe and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth to Isaiah the son of Amoz the prophet

2 וַ֠/יִּשְׁלַח 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤋𐤇 vayishelach And he sent HC/Vqw3ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et Eliakim HTo אֶלְיָקִ֨ים 𐤀𐤋𐤉𐤒𐤉𐤌 eleyaqim Eliakim HNp אֲשֶׁר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher who was HTr עַל 𐤏𐤋 al over HR הַ/בַּ֜יִת 𐤄/𐤁𐤉𐤕 habayit the household HTd/Ncmsa וְ/אֵ֣ת 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet and HC/To שֶׁבְנָ֣א 𐤔𐤁𐤍𐤀 shevena Shebna HNp הַ/סּוֹפֵ֗ר 𐤄/𐤎𐤅𐤐𐤓 hasofer the scribe HTd/Ncmsa וְ/אֵת֙ 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet-2 and the HC/To זִקְנֵ֣י 𐤆𐤒𐤍𐤉 ziqeney elders HAampc הַ/כֹּהֲנִ֔ים 𐤄/𐤊𐤄𐤍𐤉𐤌 hakohanim of the priests HTd/Ncmpa מִתְכַּסִּ֖ים 𐤌𐤕𐤊𐤎𐤉𐤌 mitekasim covered HVtrmpa בַּ/שַּׂקִּ֑ים 𐤁/𐤔𐤒𐤉𐤌 basaqim with sackcloth HRd/Ncmpa אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR יְשַֽׁעְיָ֥הוּ 𐤉𐤔𐤏𐤉𐤄𐤅 yeshaeyahu Isaiah HNp בֶן 𐤁𐤍 ven Bene (Bemba) the son of HNcmsc אָמ֖וֹץ 𐤀𐤌𐤅𐤑 amots Amoz HNp הַ/נָּבִֽיא 𐤄/𐤍𐤁𐤉𐤀 hanavi the prophet HTd/Ncmsa

And they said to him Thus says Hezekiah day of distress and of rebuke and of disgrace the day this for have come children to the point of birth and strength not to bring forth

3 וַ/יֹּאמְר֣וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 vayomeru And they said HC/Vqw3mp אֵלָ֗י/ו 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤅 elayv to him HR/Sp3ms כֹּ֚ה 𐤊𐤄 koh Thus HD אָמַ֣ר 𐤀𐤌𐤓 amar says HVqp3ms חִזְקִיָּ֔הוּ 𐤇𐤆𐤒𐤉𐤄𐤅 chizeqiyahu Hezekiah HNp יוֹם 𐤉𐤅𐤌 yom day HNcmsc צָרָ֧ה 𐤑𐤓𐤄 tsarah of distress HNcfsa וְ/תוֹכֵחָ֛ה 𐤅/𐤕𐤅𐤊𐤇𐤄 vetokhechah and of rebuke HC/Ncfsa וּ/נְאָצָ֖ה 𐤅/𐤍𐤀𐤑𐤄 uneatsah and of disgrace HC/Ncfsa הַ/יּ֣וֹם 𐤄/𐤉𐤅𐤌 hayom the day HTd/Ncmsa הַ/זֶּ֑ה 𐤄/𐤆𐤄 hazeh this HTd/Pdxms כִּ֣י 𐤊𐤉 ki for HC בָ֤אוּ 𐤁𐤀𐤅 vau have come HVqp3cp בָנִים֙ 𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤌 vanim Bene (Bemba) children HNcmpa עַד 𐤏𐤃 ad to HR מַשְׁבֵּ֔ר 𐤌𐤔𐤁𐤓 masheber the point of birth HNcmsa וְ/כֹ֥חַ 𐤅/𐤊𐤇 vekhocha and strength HC/Ncmsa אַ֖יִן 𐤀𐤉𐤍 ayin not HTn לְ/לֵדָֽה 𐤋/𐤋𐤃𐤄 leledah to bring forth HR/Ncfsa

perhaps will hear YHWH your God the words of Rab shakeh whom he has sent king Assyria his lord to reproach God living and will rebuke the words that he has heard YHWH your God and you will bear prayer for the remnant that is left

4 אוּלַ֡י 𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤉 ulay perhaps HD יִשְׁמַע֩ 𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤏 yishema will hear HVqi3ms יְהוָ֨ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp אֱלֹהֶ֜י/ךָ 𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉/𐤊 eloheykha Mulimu (Lozi) your God HNcmpc/Sp2ms אֵ֣ת 𐤀𐤕 et the HTo דִּבְרֵ֣י 𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤉 diverey words of HNcmpc רַב 𐤓𐤁 rav Rab HNp שָׁקֵ֗ה 𐤔𐤒𐤄 shaqeh shakeh HNp אֲשֶׁר֩ 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher whom HTr שְׁלָח֨/וֹ 𐤔𐤋𐤇/𐤅 shelacho he has sent HVqp3ms/Sp3ms מֶֽלֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe king HNcmsc אַשּׁ֤וּר 𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤓 ashur Assyria HNp אֲדֹנָי/ו֙ 𐤀𐤃𐤍𐤉/𐤅 adonayv his lord HNcmpc/Sp3ms לְ/חָרֵף֙ 𐤋/𐤇𐤓𐤐 lecharef to reproach HR/Vpc אֱלֹהִ֣ים 𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 elohim Mulimu (Lozi) God HNcmpa חַ֔י 𐤇𐤉 chay living HAamsa וְ/הוֹכִ֨יחַ֙ 𐤅/𐤄𐤅𐤊𐤉𐤇 vehokhicha and will rebuke HC/Vhq3ms בַּ/דְּבָרִ֔ים 𐤁/𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤌 badevarim the words HRd/Ncmpa אֲשֶׁ֥ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher-2 that HTr שָׁמַ֖ע 𐤔𐤌𐤏 shama he has heard HVqp3ms יְהוָ֣ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah-2 Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp אֱלֹהֶ֑י/ךָ 𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉/𐤊 eloheykha-2 Mulimu (Lozi) your God HNcmpc/Sp2ms וְ/נָשָׂ֣אתָ 𐤅/𐤍𐤔𐤀𐤕 venasata and you will bear HC/Vqq2ms תְפִלָּ֔ה 𐤕𐤐𐤋𐤄 tefilah prayer HNcfsa בְּעַ֥ד 𐤁𐤏𐤃 bead for HR הַ/שְּׁאֵרִ֖ית 𐤄/𐤔𐤀𐤓𐤉𐤕 hasheerit the remnant HTd/Ncfsa הַ/נִּמְצָאָֽה 𐤄/𐤍𐤌𐤑𐤀𐤄 hanimetsaah that is left HTd/VNrfsa

and they came servants of the king Hezekiah to Isaiah

5 וַ/יָּבֹ֗אוּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤁𐤀𐤅 vayavou and they came HC/Vqw3mp עַבְדֵ֛י 𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉 avedey servants of HNcmpc הַ/מֶּ֥לֶךְ 𐤄/𐤌𐤋𐤊 hamelekhe the king HTd/Ncmsa חִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ 𐤇𐤆𐤒𐤉𐤄𐤅 chizeqiyahu Hezekiah HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR יְשַׁעְיָֽהוּ 𐤉𐤔𐤏𐤉𐤄𐤅 yeshaeyahu Isaiah HNp

and he said to them Isaiah thus you shall say to your master thus says YHWH do not fear because of the words that you have heard with which have blasphemed young men of king of Assyria me

6 וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and he said HC/Vqw3ms אֲלֵי/הֶם֙ 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤄𐤌 aleyhem to them HR/Sp3mp יְשַֽׁעְיָ֔הוּ 𐤉𐤔𐤏𐤉𐤄𐤅 yeshaeyahu Isaiah HNp כֹּ֥ה 𐤊𐤄 koh thus HD תֹאמְר֖וּ/ן 𐤕𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅/𐤍 tomerun you shall say HVqi2mp/Sn אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR אֲדֹנֵי/כֶ֑ם 𐤀𐤃𐤍𐤉/𐤊𐤌 adoneykhem your master HNcmpc/Sp2mp כֹּ֣ה 𐤊𐤄 koh-2 thus HD אָמַ֣ר 𐤀𐤌𐤓 amar says HVqp3ms יְהוָ֗ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp אַל 𐤀𐤋 al do not HTn תִּירָא֙ 𐤕𐤉𐤓𐤀 tira fear HVqj2ms מִ/פְּנֵ֤י 𐤌/𐤐𐤍𐤉 mipeney because of HR/Ncbpc הַ/דְּבָרִים֙ 𐤄/𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤌 hadevarim the words HTd/Ncmpa אֲשֶׁ֣ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr שָׁמַ֔עְתָּ 𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤕 shamaeta you have heard HVqp2ms אֲשֶׁ֧ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher-2 with which HTr גִּדְּפ֛וּ 𐤂𐤃𐤐𐤅 gidefu have blasphemed HVpp3cp נַעֲרֵ֥י 𐤍𐤏𐤓𐤉 naarey young men of HNcmpc מֶלֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe king of HNcmsc אַשּׁ֖וּר 𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤓 ashur Assyria HNp אוֹתִֽ/י 𐤀𐤅𐤕/𐤉 oti me HTo/Sp1cs

Behold, I will send upon him a spirit and he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land

7 הִנְ/נִ֨י 𐤄𐤍/𐤍𐤉 hineni Behold, I HTm/Sp1cs נוֹתֵ֥ן 𐤍𐤅𐤕𐤍 noten will send HVqrmsa בּ/וֹ֙ 𐤁/𐤅 bo upon him HR/Sp3ms ר֔וּחַ 𐤓𐤅𐤇 rucha Roho (Swahili) a spirit HNcbsa וְ/שָׁמַ֥ע 𐤅/𐤔𐤌𐤏 veshama and he shall hear HC/Vqq3ms שְׁמוּעָ֖ה 𐤔𐤌𐤅𐤏𐤄 shemuah a rumor HNcfsa וְ/שָׁ֣ב 𐤅/𐤔𐤁 veshav and return HC/Vqq3ms אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR אַרְצ֑/וֹ 𐤀𐤓𐤑/𐤅 aretso his own land HNcbsc/Sp3ms וְ/הִפַּלְתִּ֥י/ו 𐤅/𐤄𐤐𐤋𐤕𐤉/𐤅 vehipaletiv and I will cause him to fall HC/Vhq1cs/Sp3ms בַּ/חֶ֖רֶב 𐤁/𐤇𐤓𐤁 bacherev by the sword HRd/Ncfsa בְּ/אַרְצֽ/וֹ 𐤁/𐤀𐤓𐤑/𐤅 bearetso in his own land HR/Ncbsc/Sp3ms

and returned Rab- shakeh and found [direct object marker] king of Assyria warring against Libnah for he had heard that he had departed from Lachish

8 וַ/יָּ֨שָׁב֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤁 vayashav and returned HC/Vqw3ms רַב 𐤓𐤁 rav Rab- HNp שָׁקֵ֔ה 𐤔𐤒𐤄 shaqeh shakeh HNp וַ/יִּמְצָא֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤌𐤑𐤀 vayimetsa and found HC/Vqw3ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et [direct object marker] HTo מֶ֣לֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe king HNcmsc אַשּׁ֔וּר 𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤓 ashur of Assyria HNp נִלְחָ֖ם 𐤍𐤋𐤇𐤌 nilecham warring HVNrmsa עַל 𐤏𐤋 al against HR לִבְנָ֑ה 𐤋𐤁𐤍𐤄 livenah Libnah HNp כִּ֣י 𐤊𐤉 ki for HC שָׁמַ֔ע 𐤔𐤌𐤏 shama he had heard HVqp3ms כִּ֥י 𐤊𐤉 ki-2 that HC נָסַ֖ע 𐤍𐤎𐤏 nasa he had departed HVqp3ms מִ/לָּכִֽישׁ 𐤌/𐤋𐤊𐤉𐤔 milakhish from Lachish HR/Np

and he heard concerning Tirhakah king of Cush saying he has come out to fight with you and he heard and he sent messengers to Hezekiah saying

9 וַ/יִּשְׁמַ֗ע 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤏 vayishema and he heard HC/Vqw3ms עַל 𐤏𐤋 al concerning HR תִּרְהָ֤קָה 𐤕𐤓𐤄𐤒𐤄 tirehaqah Tirhakah HNp מֶֽלֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe king HNcmsc כּוּשׁ֙ 𐤊𐤅𐤔 kush of Cush HNp לֵ/אמֹ֔ר 𐤋/𐤀𐤌𐤓 lemor saying HR/Vqc יָצָ֖א 𐤉𐤑𐤀 yatsa he has come out HVqp3ms לְ/הִלָּחֵ֣ם 𐤋/𐤄𐤋𐤇𐤌 lehilachem to fight HR/VNc אִתָּ֑/ךְ 𐤀𐤕/𐤊 itakhe with you HR/Sp2fs וַ/יִּשְׁמַע֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤏 vayishema-2 and he heard HC/Vqw3ms וַ/יִּשְׁלַ֣ח 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤋𐤇 vayishelach and he sent HC/Vqw3ms מַלְאָכִ֔ים 𐤌𐤋𐤀𐤊𐤉𐤌 maleakhim messengers HNcmpa אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR חִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ 𐤇𐤆𐤒𐤉𐤄𐤅 chizeqiyahu Hezekiah HNp לֵ/אמֹֽר 𐤋/𐤀𐤌𐤓 lemor-2 saying HR/Vqc

Thus you shall say to Hezekiah king of Judah saying Let not deceive you your God in whom you trust in it saying not be given Jerusalem into the hand of king of Assyria

Behold you have heard what they have done kings of Assyria to all the lands by destroying them utterly and you will be delivered

11 הִנֵּ֣ה 𐤄𐤍𐤄 hineh Behold HTm אַתָּ֣ה 𐤀𐤕𐤄 atah you HPp2ms שָׁמַ֗עְתָּ 𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤕 shamaeta have heard HVqp2ms אֲשֶׁ֨ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher what HTr עָשׂ֜וּ 𐤏𐤔𐤅 asu they have done HVqp3cp מַלְכֵ֥י 𐤌𐤋𐤊𐤉 malekhey kings HNcmpc אַשּׁ֛וּר 𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤓 ashur of Assyria HNp לְ/כָל 𐤋/𐤊𐤋 lekhal to all HR/Ncmsc הָ/אֲרָצ֖וֹת 𐤄/𐤀𐤓𐤑𐤅𐤕 haaratsot the lands HTd/Ncbpa לְ/הַחֲרִימָ֑/ם 𐤋/𐤄𐤇𐤓𐤉𐤌/𐤌 lehacharimam by destroying them utterly HR/Vhc/Sp3mp וְ/אַתָּ֖ה 𐤅/𐤀𐤕𐤄 veatah and you HC/Pp2ms תִּנָּצֵֽל 𐤕𐤍𐤑𐤋 tinatsel will be delivered HVNi2ms

Where king of Hamath and king of Arpad and king of the city of Sepharvaim Hena and Ivvah

and took Hezekiah the letters from hand of the messengers and read it and went up to the house of YHWH and spread it Hezekiah before YHWH

your sitting down your going out your coming in I know and your raging against me

28 וְ/שִׁבְתְּ/ךָ֛ 𐤅/𐤔𐤁𐤕/𐤊 veshivetekha your sitting down HC/Vqc/Sp2ms וְ/צֵאתְ/ךָ֥ 𐤅/𐤑𐤀𐤕/𐤊 vetsetekha your going out HC/Vqc/Sp2ms וּ/בוֹאֲ/ךָ֖ 𐤅/𐤁𐤅𐤀/𐤊 uvoakha your coming in HC/Vqc/Sp2ms יָדָ֑עְתִּי 𐤉𐤃𐤏𐤕𐤉 yadaeti I know HVqp1cs וְ/אֵ֖ת 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet and HC/To הִֽתְרַגֶּזְ/ךָ֥ 𐤄𐤕𐤓𐤂𐤆/𐤊 hiteragezekha your raging HVtc/Sp2ms אֵלָֽ/י 𐤀𐤋/𐤉 elay against me HR/Sp1cs

Because you have raged against Me and your arrogance has come up into My ears and I will put My hook in your nose and My bit in your lips and I will turn you back on the way by which you came in it

by the way that he came in it he shall return and to the city this not he shall come declares YHWH
