Ruth 1

And it came to pass in the days of judging the judges and there was a famine in the land and went a certain man from Bethlehem Judah to sojourn in the fields of Moab he and his wife and two his sons

and died Elimelech husband Naomi and she was left she and two sons of hers

And they took for themselves wives Moabite the name of the one Orpah and the name of the other Ruth And they lived there about ten years

and she arose she and her daughters-in-law and she returned from the fields of Moab for she had heard in the field of Moab that had visited YHWH (direct object marker) his people to give to them food

and she went out from the place where she had been there and two daughters-in-law of her with her and they went on the way to return to land Judah

And she said Naomi to two her daughters-in-law go return each to house of her mother may he do may do YHWH with you kindness as you have done with the dead and with me

And they said to her surely with you we will return to your people

And she said Naomi Return my daughters Why will you go with me still to me sons in my womb that they may be to you husbands

And she said Behold has gone back your sister-in-law to her people and to her gods Return after your sister-in-law
