Exodus 13

And spoke YHWH to Moses saying

1 וַ/יְדַבֵּ֥ר 𐤅/𐤉𐤃𐤁𐤓 vayedaber And spoke HC/Vpw3ms יְהוָ֖ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR מֹשֶׁ֥ה 𐤌𐤔𐤄 mosheh Moses HNp לֵּ/אמֹֽר 𐤋/𐤀𐤌𐤓 lemor saying HR/Vqc

Sanctify to Me every firstborn that opens every womb among the sons of Israel both of man and of beast to Me it is

2 קַדֶּשׁ 𐤒𐤃𐤔 qadesh Sanctify HVpv2ms לִ֨/י 𐤋/𐤉 li to Me HR/Sp1cs כָל 𐤊𐤋 khal every HNcmsc בְּכ֜וֹר 𐤁𐤊𐤅𐤓 bekhor firstborn HNcmsa פֶּ֤טֶר 𐤐𐤈𐤓 peter that opens HNcmsc כָּל 𐤊𐤋 kal every HNcmsc רֶ֨חֶם֙ 𐤓𐤇𐤌 rechem womb HNcmsa בִּ/בְנֵ֣י 𐤁/𐤁𐤍𐤉 biveney Bene (Bemba) among the sons of HR/Ncmpc יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 yiserael Israel HNp בָּ/אָדָ֖ם 𐤁/𐤀𐤃𐤌 baadam both of man HRd/Ncmsa וּ/בַ/בְּהֵמָ֑ה 𐤅/𐤁/𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤄 uvabehemah and of beast HC/Rd/Ncfsa לִ֖/י 𐤋/𐤉 li-2 to Me HR/Sp1cs הֽוּא 𐤄𐤅𐤀 hu it is HPp3ms

and said Moses to the people remember (direct object marker) the day this in which you came out from Egypt from house of slaves for with strength of hand brought out YHWH you from this and not shall be eaten leaven

3 וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and said HC/Vqw3ms מֹשֶׁ֜ה 𐤌𐤔𐤄 mosheh Moses HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR הָ/עָ֗ם 𐤄/𐤏𐤌 haam the people HTd/Ncmsa זָכ֞וֹר 𐤆𐤊𐤅𐤓 zakhor remember HVqa אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et (direct object marker) HTo הַ/יּ֤וֹם 𐤄/𐤉𐤅𐤌 hayom the day HTd/Ncmsa הַ/זֶּה֙ 𐤄/𐤆𐤄 hazeh this HTd/Pdxms אֲשֶׁ֨ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher in which HTr יְצָאתֶ֤ם 𐤉𐤑𐤀𐤕𐤌 yetsatem you came out HVqp2mp מִ/מִּצְרַ֨יִם֙ 𐤌/𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mimitserayim from Egypt HR/Np מִ/בֵּ֣ית 𐤌/𐤁𐤉𐤕 mibeyt from house HR/Ncmsc עֲבָדִ֔ים 𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉𐤌 avadim of slaves HNcmpa כִּ֚י 𐤊𐤉 ki for HC בְּ/חֹ֣זֶק 𐤁/𐤇𐤆𐤒 bechozeq with strength HR/Ncmsc יָ֔ד 𐤉𐤃 yad of hand HNcbsa הוֹצִ֧יא 𐤄𐤅𐤑𐤉𐤀 hotsi brought out HVhp3ms יְהֹוָ֛ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehovah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp אֶתְ/כֶ֖ם 𐤀𐤕/𐤊𐤌 etekhem you HTo/Sp2mp מִ/זֶּ֑ה 𐤌/𐤆𐤄 mizeh from this HR/Pdxms וְ/לֹ֥א 𐤅/𐤋𐤀 velo and not HC/Tn יֵאָכֵ֖ל 𐤉𐤀𐤊𐤋 yeakhel shall be eaten HVNi3ms חָמֵֽץ 𐤇𐤌𐤑 chamets leaven HNcmsa

today you are going out in the month of Abib

4 הַ/יּ֖וֹם 𐤄/𐤉𐤅𐤌 hayom today HTd/Ncmsa אַתֶּ֣ם 𐤀𐤕𐤌 atem you HPp2mp יֹצְאִ֑ים 𐤉𐤑𐤀𐤉𐤌 yotseim are going out HVqrmpa בְּ/חֹ֖דֶשׁ 𐤁/𐤇𐤃𐤔 bechodesh Umwenshi (Bemba) in the month HR/Ncmsc הָ/אָבִֽיב 𐤄/𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤁 haaviv of Abib HTd/Ncmsa

And it shall be when he brings you YHWH into land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Hivite and the Jebusite which he swore to your fathers to give to you land flowing with milk and honey you shall serve direct object marker the service this in the month this

seven days you shall eat unleavened bread and-on-the-day the seventh feast to YHWH

6 שִׁבְעַ֥ת 𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤕 shiveat seven HAcmsc יָמִ֖ים 𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 yamim days HNcmpa תֹּאכַ֣ל 𐤕𐤀𐤊𐤋 tokhal you shall eat HVqi2ms מַצֹּ֑ת 𐤌𐤑𐤕 matsot unleavened bread HNcfpa וּ/בַ/יּוֹם֙ 𐤅/𐤁/𐤉𐤅𐤌 uvayom and-on-the-day HC/Rd/Ncmsa הַ/שְּׁבִיעִ֔י 𐤄/𐤔𐤁𐤉𐤏𐤉 hashevii the seventh HTd/Aomsa חַ֖ג 𐤇𐤂 chag feast HNcmsa לַ/יהוָֽה 𐤋/𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 layhvah Nyambe (Lozi) to YHWH HR/Np

unleavened bread shall be eaten (direct object marker) seven days and-not shall be seen with you leaven and-not shall be seen with you leaven in all your borders

7 מַצּוֹת֙ 𐤌𐤑𐤅𐤕 matsot unleavened bread HNcfpa יֵֽאָכֵ֔ל 𐤉𐤀𐤊𐤋 yeakhel shall be eaten HVNi3ms אֵ֖ת 𐤀𐤕 et (direct object marker) HTo שִׁבְעַ֣ת 𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤕 shiveat seven HAcmsc הַ/יָּמִ֑ים 𐤄/𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 hayamim days HTd/Ncmpa וְ/לֹֽא 𐤅/𐤋𐤀 velo and-not HC/Tn יֵרָאֶ֨ה 𐤉𐤓𐤀𐤄 yeraeh shall be seen HVNi3ms לְ/ךָ֜ 𐤋/𐤊 lekha with you HR/Sp2ms חָמֵ֗ץ 𐤇𐤌𐤑 chamets leaven HNcmsa וְ/לֹֽא 𐤅/𐤋𐤀 velo-2 and-not HC/Tn יֵרָאֶ֥ה 𐤉𐤓𐤀𐤄 yeraeh-2 shall be seen HVNi3ms לְ/ךָ֛ 𐤋/𐤊 lekha-2 with you HR/Sp2ms שְׂאֹ֖ר 𐤔𐤀𐤓 seor leaven HNcmsa בְּ/כָל 𐤁/𐤊𐤋 bekhal in all HR/Ncmsc גְּבֻלֶֽ/ךָ 𐤂𐤁𐤋/𐤊 gevulekha your borders HNcmsc/Sp2ms

And you shall tell your son on the day that saying because of this did YHWH for me when I came out from Egypt

8 וְ/הִגַּדְתָּ֣ 𐤅/𐤄𐤂𐤃𐤕 vehigadeta And you shall tell HC/Vhq2ms לְ/בִנְ/ךָ֔ 𐤋/𐤁𐤍/𐤊 levinekha Bene (Bemba) your son HR/Ncmsc/Sp2ms בַּ/יּ֥וֹם 𐤁/𐤉𐤅𐤌 bayom on the day HRd/Ncmsa הַ/ה֖וּא 𐤄/𐤄𐤅𐤀 hahu that HTd/Pp3ms לֵ/אמֹ֑ר 𐤋/𐤀𐤌𐤓 lemor saying HR/Vqc בַּ/עֲב֣וּר 𐤁/𐤏𐤁𐤅𐤓 baavur because of HR/Ncmsc זֶ֗ה 𐤆𐤄 zeh this HPdxms עָשָׂ֤ה 𐤏𐤔𐤄 asah did HVqp3ms יְהוָה֙ 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp לִ֔/י 𐤋/𐤉 li for me HR/Sp1cs בְּ/צֵאתִ֖/י 𐤁/𐤑𐤀𐤕/𐤉 betseti when I came out HR/Vqc/Sp1cs מִ/מִּצְרָֽיִם 𐤌/𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mimitserayim from Egypt HR/Np

And it shall be to you for a sign on your hand and for a reminder between your eyes that may be the law of YHWH in your mouth for with a hand strong brought you out YHWH from Egypt

9 וְ/הָיָה֩ 𐤅/𐤄𐤉𐤄 vehayah And it shall be HC/Vqq3ms לְ/ךָ֨ 𐤋/𐤊 lekha to you HR/Sp2ms לְ/א֜וֹת 𐤋/𐤀𐤅𐤕 leot for a sign HR/Ncbsa עַל 𐤏𐤋 al on HR יָדְ/ךָ֗ 𐤉𐤃/𐤊 yadekha your hand HNcbsc/Sp2ms וּ/לְ/זִכָּרוֹן֙ 𐤅/𐤋/𐤆𐤊𐤓𐤅𐤍 ulezikaron and for a reminder HC/R/Ncmsa בֵּ֣ין 𐤁𐤉𐤍 beyn between HR עֵינֶ֔י/ךָ 𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉/𐤊 eyneykha your eyes HNcbdc/Sp2ms לְמַ֗עַן 𐤋𐤌𐤏𐤍 lemaan that HR תִּהְיֶ֛ה 𐤕𐤄𐤉𐤄 tiheyeh may be HVqi3fs תּוֹרַ֥ת 𐤕𐤅𐤓𐤕 torat the law of HNcfsc יְהוָ֖ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp בְּ/פִ֑י/ךָ 𐤁/𐤐𐤉/𐤊 befikha in your mouth HR/Ncmsc/Sp2ms כִּ֚י 𐤊𐤉 ki for HC בְּ/יָ֣ד 𐤁/𐤉𐤃 beyad with a hand HR/Ncbsa חֲזָקָ֔ה 𐤇𐤆𐤒𐤄 chazaqah strong HAafsa הוֹצִֽאֲ/ךָ֥ 𐤄𐤅𐤑𐤀/𐤊 hotsiakha brought you out HVhp3ms/Sp2ms יְהֹוָ֖ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehovah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp מִ/מִּצְרָֽיִם 𐤌/𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mimitserayim from Egypt HR/Np

and you shall keep - the statute this at its appointed time from days to day

10 וְ/שָׁמַרְתָּ֛ 𐤅/𐤔𐤌𐤓𐤕 veshamareta and you shall keep HC/Vqq2ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et - HTo הַ/חֻקָּ֥ה 𐤄/𐤇𐤒𐤄 hachuqah the statute HTd/Ncbsa הַ/זֹּ֖את 𐤄/𐤆𐤀𐤕 hazot this HTd/Pdxfs לְ/מוֹעֲדָ֑/הּ 𐤋/𐤌𐤅𐤏𐤃/𐤄 lemoadah at its appointed time HR/Ncmsc/Sp3fs מִ/יָּמִ֖ים 𐤌/𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 miyamim from days HR/Ncmpa יָמִֽימָ/ה 𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌/𐤄 yamimah to day HNcmpa/Sd

And it shall be when he brings you YHWH to land of the Canaanite as he swore to you and to your fathers and he gives it to you

11 וְ/הָיָ֞ה 𐤅/𐤄𐤉𐤄 vehayah And it shall be HC/Vqq3ms כִּֽי 𐤊𐤉 ki when HC יְבִֽאֲ/ךָ֤ 𐤉𐤁𐤀/𐤊 yeviakha he brings you HVhi3ms/Sp2ms יְהוָה֙ 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR אֶ֣רֶץ 𐤀𐤓𐤑 erets land HNcbsc הַֽ/כְּנַעֲנִ֔י 𐤄/𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍𐤉 hakenaani of the Canaanite HTd/Ngmsa כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֛ר 𐤊/𐤀𐤔𐤓 kaasher as HR/Tr נִשְׁבַּ֥ע 𐤍𐤔𐤁𐤏 nisheba he swore HVNp3ms לְ/ךָ֖ 𐤋/𐤊 lekha to you HR/Sp2ms וְ/לַֽ/אֲבֹתֶ֑י/ךָ 𐤅/𐤋/𐤀𐤁𐤕𐤉/𐤊 velaavoteykha and to your fathers HC/R/Ncmpc/Sp2ms וּ/נְתָנָ֖/הּ 𐤅/𐤍𐤕𐤍/𐤄 unetanah and he gives it HC/Vqq3ms/Sp3fs לָֽ/ךְ 𐤋/𐤊 lakhe to you HR/Sp2fs

you shall cause to pass over all that opens the womb to YHWH and all firstborn offspring of livestock that is yours the males to YHWH

12 וְ/הַעֲבַרְתָּ֥ 𐤅/𐤄𐤏𐤁𐤓𐤕 vehaavareta you shall cause to pass over HC/Vhq2ms כָל 𐤊𐤋 khal all HNcmsc פֶּֽטֶר 𐤐𐤈𐤓 peter that opens HNcmsc רֶ֖חֶם 𐤓𐤇𐤌 rechem the womb HNcmsa לַֽ/יהֹוָ֑ה 𐤋/𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 layhovah Nyambe (Lozi) to YHWH HR/Np וְ/כָל 𐤅/𐤊𐤋 vekhal and all HC/Ncmsc פֶּ֣טֶר 𐤐𐤈𐤓 peter-2 firstborn HNcmsc שֶׁ֣גֶר 𐤔𐤂𐤓 sheger offspring HNcmsc בְּהֵמָ֗ה 𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤄 behemah of livestock HNcfsa אֲשֶׁ֨ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr יִהְיֶ֥ה 𐤉𐤄𐤉𐤄 yiheyeh is HVqi3ms לְ/ךָ֛ 𐤋/𐤊 lekha yours HR/Sp2ms הַ/זְּכָרִ֖ים 𐤄/𐤆𐤊𐤓𐤉𐤌 hazekharim the males HTd/Ncmpa לַ/יהוָֽה 𐤋/𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 layhvah Nyambe (Lozi) to YHWH HR/Np

and every firstborn donkey you shall redeem with a lamb and if not you redeem you shall break its neck and every firstborn of man among your sons you shall redeem

13 וְ/כָל 𐤅/𐤊𐤋 vekhal and every HC/Ncmsc פֶּ֤טֶר 𐤐𐤈𐤓 peter firstborn HNcmsc חֲמֹר֙ 𐤇𐤌𐤓 chamor donkey HNcbsa תִּפְדֶּ֣ה 𐤕𐤐𐤃𐤄 tifedeh you shall redeem HVqi2ms בְ/שֶׂ֔ה 𐤁/𐤔𐤄 veseh with a lamb HR/Ncbsa וְ/אִם 𐤅/𐤀𐤌 veim and if HC/C לֹ֥א 𐤋𐤀 lo not HTn תִפְדֶּ֖ה 𐤕𐤐𐤃𐤄 tifedeh-2 you redeem HVqi2ms וַ/עֲרַפְתּ֑/וֹ 𐤅/𐤏𐤓𐤐𐤕/𐤅 vaarafeto you shall break its neck HC/Vqq2ms/Sp3ms וְ/כֹ֨ל 𐤅/𐤊𐤋 vekhol and every HC/Ncmsc בְּכ֥וֹר 𐤁𐤊𐤅𐤓 bekhor firstborn HNcmsc אָדָ֛ם 𐤀𐤃𐤌 adam of man HNcmsa בְּ/בָנֶ֖י/ךָ 𐤁/𐤁𐤍𐤉/𐤊 bevaneykha Bene (Bemba) among your sons HR/Ncmpc/Sp2ms תִּפְדֶּֽה 𐤕𐤐𐤃𐤄 tifedeh-3 you shall redeem HVqi2ms

And it shall be when your son asks you your son tomorrow saying What is this you shall say to him with strength of hand he brought us out YHWH from Egypt from the house of slaves

14 וְ/הָיָ֞ה 𐤅/𐤄𐤉𐤄 vehayah And it shall be HC/Vqq3ms כִּֽי 𐤊𐤉 ki when HC יִשְׁאָלְ/ךָ֥ 𐤉𐤔𐤀𐤋/𐤊 yishealekha your son asks you HVqi3ms/Sp2ms בִנְ/ךָ֛ 𐤁𐤍/𐤊 vinekha Bene (Bemba) your son HNcmsc/Sp2ms מָחָ֖ר 𐤌𐤇𐤓 machar tomorrow HNcmsa לֵ/אמֹ֣ר 𐤋/𐤀𐤌𐤓 lemor saying HR/Vqc מַה 𐤌𐤄 mah What HTi זֹּ֑את 𐤆𐤀𐤕 zot is this HPdxfs וְ/אָמַרְתָּ֣ 𐤅/𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤕 veamareta you shall say HC/Vqq2ms אֵלָ֔י/ו 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤅 elayv to him HR/Sp3ms בְּ/חֹ֣זֶק 𐤁/𐤇𐤆𐤒 bechozeq with strength HR/Ncmsc יָ֗ד 𐤉𐤃 yad of hand HNcbsa הוֹצִיאָ֧/נוּ 𐤄𐤅𐤑𐤉𐤀/𐤍𐤅 hotsianu he brought us out HVhp3ms/Sp1cp יְהוָ֛ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp מִ/מִּצְרַ֖יִם 𐤌/𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mimitserayim from Egypt HR/Np מִ/בֵּ֥ית 𐤌/𐤁𐤉𐤕 mibeyt from the house HR/Ncmsc עֲבָדִֽים 𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉𐤌 avadim of slaves HNcmpa

And it came to pass when stubbornly refused Pharaoh to let us go the YHWH killed YHWH all firstborn in the land of Egypt from the firstborn of man and to firstborn of beast Therefore therefore I sacrifice to YHWH all that opens the womb the males but all firstborn of my sons I redeem
