And afterward came Moses and Aaron and said to Pharaoh Thus says YHWH the God of Israel Let go [direct object marker] My people that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness

And they said The God of the Hebrews has met with us Let us go please a journey of three days into the wilderness and sacrifice to YHWH our God lest He strike us with pestilence or with the sword

And said to them the king of Egypt Why do Moses and Aaron take away [direct object marker] the people from their work Get back to your labors

And said Pharaoh Behold are many now the people of the land and you would have them rest them from their labors

No longer shall you give straw to the people to make bricks as before in times past They themselves shall go and gather for themselves straw

7 לֹ֣א 𐤋𐤀 lo No HTn תֹאסִפ֞וּ/ן 𐤕𐤀𐤎𐤐𐤅/𐤍 tosifun longer shall you HVhi2mp/Sn לָ/תֵ֨ת 𐤋/𐤕𐤕 latet give HR/Vqc תֶּ֧בֶן 𐤕𐤁𐤍 teven straw HNcmsa לָ/עָ֛ם 𐤋/𐤏𐤌 laam to the people HRd/Ncmsa לִ/לְבֹּ֥ן 𐤋/𐤋𐤁𐤍 lilebon to make HR/Vqc הַ/לְּבֵנִ֖ים 𐤄/𐤋𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤌 halevenim bricks HTd/Ncfpa כִּ/תְמ֣וֹל 𐤊/𐤕𐤌𐤅𐤋 kitemol as before HR/D שִׁלְשֹׁ֑ם 𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤌 shileshom in times past HD הֵ֚ם 𐤄𐤌 hem They themselves HPp3mp יֵֽלְכ֔וּ 𐤉𐤋𐤊𐤅 yelekhu shall go HVqi3mp וְ/קֹשְׁשׁ֥וּ 𐤅/𐤒𐤔𐤔𐤅 veqosheshu and gather HC/Vmq3cp לָ/הֶ֖ם 𐤋/𐤄𐤌 lahem for themselves HR/Sp3mp תֶּֽבֶן 𐤕𐤁𐤍 teven-2 straw HNcmsa

And [direct object marker] the quota of bricks which they were making previously in times past you shall lay on them not shall you reduce from it for idle they are therefore that is why they cry out saying Let us go and sacrifice to our God

Let heavier work be laid on the men and let them labor at it and let them not pay attention to words of falsehood

9 תִּכְבַּ֧ד 𐤕𐤊𐤁𐤃 tikhebad Let heavier HVqi3fs הָ/עֲבֹדָ֛ה 𐤄/𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤄 haavodah work be laid HTd/Ncfsa עַל 𐤏𐤋 al on HR הָ/אֲנָשִׁ֖ים 𐤄/𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌 haanashim the men HTd/Ncmpa וְ/יַעֲשׂוּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤏𐤔𐤅 veyaasu and let them labor HC/Vqi3mp בָ֑/הּ 𐤁/𐤄 vah at it HR/Sp3fs וְ/אַל 𐤅/𐤀𐤋 veal and let them not HC/Tn יִשְׁע֖וּ 𐤉𐤔𐤏𐤅 yisheu pay attention HVqj3mp בְּ/דִבְרֵי 𐤁/𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤉 bediverey to words of HR/Ncmpc שָֽׁקֶר 𐤔𐤒𐤓 shaqer falsehood HNcmsa

So went out the taskmasters of the people and their foremen and spoke to the people saying Thus says Pharaoh I am not going to give to you straw

You yourselves go get for yourselves straw wherever you can find it but nothing will be reduced from your work at all

11 אַתֶּ֗ם 𐤀𐤕𐤌 atem You yourselves HPp2mp לְכ֨וּ 𐤋𐤊𐤅 lekhu go HVqv2mp קְח֤וּ 𐤒𐤇𐤅 qechu get HVqv2mp לָ/כֶם֙ 𐤋/𐤊𐤌 lakhem for yourselves HR/Sp2mp תֶּ֔בֶן 𐤕𐤁𐤍 teven straw HNcmsa מֵ/אֲשֶׁ֖ר 𐤌/𐤀𐤔𐤓 measher wherever HR/Tr תִּמְצָ֑אוּ 𐤕𐤌𐤑𐤀𐤅 timetsau you can find it HVqi2mp כִּ֣י 𐤊𐤉 ki but HC אֵ֥ין 𐤀𐤉𐤍 eyn nothing HTn נִגְרָ֛ע 𐤍𐤂𐤓𐤏 nigera will be reduced HVNrmsa מֵ/עֲבֹדַתְ/כֶ֖ם 𐤌/𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤕/𐤊𐤌 meavodatekhem from your work HR/Ncfsc/Sp2mp דָּבָֽר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 davar at all HNcmsa

So were scattered the people throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble for straw

And the taskmasters were urgent saying Complete your works the matter of each day in its day just as when there was the straw

13 וְ/הַ/נֹּגְשִׂ֖ים 𐤅/𐤄/𐤍𐤂𐤔𐤉𐤌 vehanogesim And the taskmasters HC/Td/Vqrmpa אָצִ֣ים 𐤀𐤑𐤉𐤌 atsim were urgent HVqrmpa לֵ/אמֹ֑ר 𐤋/𐤀𐤌𐤓 lemor saying HR/Vqc כַּלּ֤וּ 𐤊𐤋𐤅 kalu Complete HVpv2mp מַעֲשֵׂי/כֶם֙ 𐤌𐤏𐤔𐤉/𐤊𐤌 maaseykhem your works HNcmpc/Sp2mp דְּבַר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 devar the matter of HNcmsc י֣וֹם 𐤉𐤅𐤌 yom each day HNcmsa בְּ/יוֹמ֔/וֹ 𐤁/𐤉𐤅𐤌/𐤅 beyomo in its day HR/Ncmsc/Sp3ms כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֖ר 𐤊/𐤀𐤔𐤓 kaasher just as HR/Tr בִּ/הְי֥וֹת 𐤁/𐤄𐤉𐤅𐤕 biheyot when there was HR/Vqc הַ/תֶּֽבֶן 𐤄/𐤕𐤁𐤍 hateven the straw HTd/Ncmsa

And were beaten the foremen of the children of Israel whom had set over them the taskmasters of Pharaoh saying Why not have you completed your quota of making bricks as yesterday and the day before both yesterday and also today

Then came the foremen of the children of Israel and cried out to Pharaoh saying Why do you deal thus with your servants
