wise son wise instruction of his father but a scoffer not hears rebuke

from the fruit of his mouth a man he eats good but the soul of the treacherous violence

He who guards his mouth keeps his life opens wide his lips ruin to him

craves and nothing of his soul of the sluggard but the soul of the diligent is made fat

Righteousness guards the blameless way but wickedness overthrows sin

There is who pretends to be rich yet has nothing who pretends to be poor but has great

7 יֵ֣שׁ 𐤉𐤔 yesh There is HTm מִ֭תְעַשֵּׁר 𐤌𐤕𐤏𐤔𐤓 miteasher who pretends to be rich HVtrmsa וְ/אֵ֣ין 𐤅/𐤀𐤉𐤍 veeyn yet has HC/Tn כֹּ֑ל 𐤊𐤋 kol nothing HNcmsa מִ֝תְרוֹשֵׁ֗שׁ 𐤌𐤕𐤓𐤅𐤔𐤔 miteroshesh who pretends to be poor HVrrmsa וְ/ה֣וֹן 𐤅/𐤄𐤅𐤍 vehon but has HC/Ncmsa רָֽב 𐤓𐤁 rav great HAamsa

ransom of life of a man is his wealth but poor not hears rebuke

light of the righteous rejoices but the lamp of the wicked goes out

only in pride comes strife but those who take advice wisdom

10 רַק 𐤓𐤒 raq only HTa בְּ֭/זָדוֹן 𐤁/𐤆𐤃𐤅𐤍 bezadon in pride HR/Ncmsa יִתֵּ֣ן 𐤉𐤕𐤍 yiten comes HVqi3ms מַצָּ֑ה 𐤌𐤑𐤄 matsah strife HNcfsa וְ/אֶת 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet but HC/R נ֖וֹעָצִ֣ים 𐤍𐤅𐤏𐤑𐤉𐤌 noatsim those who take advice HVNrmpa חָכְמָֽה 𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤄 chakhemah wisdom HNcfsa

wealth from-vanity will-dwindle but-gathering by hand will-increase

11 ה֭וֹן 𐤄𐤅𐤍 hon wealth HNcmsa מֵ/הֶ֣בֶל 𐤌/𐤄𐤁𐤋 mehevel from-vanity HR/Ncmsa יִמְעָ֑ט 𐤉𐤌𐤏𐤈 yimeat will-dwindle HVqi3ms וְ/קֹבֵ֖ץ 𐤅/𐤒𐤁𐤑 veqovets but-gathering HC/Vqrmsa עַל 𐤏𐤋 al by HR יָ֣ד 𐤉𐤃 yad hand HNcbsa יַרְבֶּֽה 𐤉𐤓𐤁𐤄 yarebeh will-increase HVhi3ms

hope deferred sick heart and tree of life desire fulfilled

12 תּוֹחֶ֣לֶת 𐤕𐤅𐤇𐤋𐤕 tochelet hope HNcfsa מְ֭מֻשָּׁכָה 𐤌𐤌𐤔𐤊𐤄 memushakhah deferred HVPsfsa מַחֲלָה 𐤌𐤇𐤋𐤄 machalah sick HVhrfsa לֵ֑ב 𐤋𐤁 lev heart HNcmsa וְ/עֵ֥ץ 𐤅/𐤏𐤑 veets and tree HC/Ncmsc חַ֝יִּ֗ים 𐤇𐤉𐤉𐤌 chayim of life HNcmpa תַּאֲוָ֥ה 𐤕𐤀𐤅𐤄 taavah desire HNcfsa בָאָֽה 𐤁𐤀𐤄 vaah fulfilled HVqrfsa

despises the word will be destroyed to him and fears the commandment he will be rewarded

13 בָּ֣ז 𐤁𐤆 baz despises HVqrmsa לְ֭/דָבָר 𐤋/𐤃𐤁𐤓 ledavar the word HR/Ncmsa יֵחָ֣בֶל 𐤉𐤇𐤁𐤋 yechavel will be destroyed HVNi3ms ל֑/וֹ 𐤋/𐤅 lo to him HR/Sp3ms וִ/ירֵ֥א 𐤅/𐤉𐤓𐤀 vire and fears HC/Aamsc מִ֝צְוָ֗ה 𐤌𐤑𐤅𐤄 mitsevah the commandment HNcfsa ה֣וּא 𐤄𐤅𐤀 hu he HPp3ms יְשֻׁלָּֽם 𐤉𐤔𐤋𐤌 yeshulam will be rewarded HVPi3ms

teaching of the wise is a fountain of life to turn away from the snares of death

14 תּוֹרַ֣ת 𐤕𐤅𐤓𐤕 torat teaching HNcfsc חָ֭כָם 𐤇𐤊𐤌 chakham of the wise HAamsa מְק֣וֹר 𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤓 meqor is a fountain HNcmsc חַיִּ֑ים 𐤇𐤉𐤉𐤌 chayim of life HNcmpa לָ֝/ס֗וּר 𐤋/𐤎𐤅𐤓 lasur to turn away HR/Vqc מִ/מֹּ֥קְשֵׁי 𐤌/𐤌𐤒𐤔𐤉 mimoqeshey from the snares HR/Ncmpc מָֽוֶת 𐤌𐤅𐤕 mavet of death HNcmsa

good understanding good gives favor but the way of the treacherous is hard

15 שֵֽׂכֶל 𐤔𐤊𐤋 sekhel good understanding HNcmsa ט֭וֹב 𐤈𐤅𐤁 tov good HAamsa יִתֶּן 𐤉𐤕𐤍 yiten gives HVqi3ms חֵ֑ן 𐤇𐤍 chen favor HNcmsa וְ/דֶ֖רֶךְ 𐤅/𐤃𐤓𐤊 vederekhe but the way HC/Ncbsc בֹּגְדִ֣ים 𐤁𐤂𐤃𐤉𐤌 bogedim of the treacherous HVqrmpa אֵיתָֽן 𐤀𐤉𐤕𐤍 eytan is hard HAamsa

Every prudent man acts with knowledge but a fool displays folly

messenger wicked falls into trouble but an envoy faithful brings healing

17 מַלְאָ֣ךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤀𐤊 maleakhe messenger HNcmsa רָ֭שָׁע 𐤓𐤔𐤏 rasha wicked HAamsa יִפֹּ֣ל 𐤉𐤐𐤋 yipol falls HVqi3ms בְּ/רָ֑ע 𐤁/𐤓𐤏 bera into trouble HR/Aamsa וְ/צִ֖יר 𐤅/𐤑𐤉𐤓 vetsir but an envoy HC/Ncmsc אֱמוּנִ֣ים 𐤀𐤌𐤅𐤍𐤉𐤌 emunim faithful HNcmpa מַרְפֵּֽא 𐤌𐤓𐤐𐤀 marepe brings healing HNcmsa

poverty and-shame ignores discipline but-whoever-regards reproof will-be-honored

18 רֵ֣ישׁ 𐤓𐤉𐤔 reysh poverty HNcmsa וְ֭/קָלוֹן 𐤅/𐤒𐤋𐤅𐤍 veqalon and-shame HC/Ncmsa פּוֹרֵ֣עַ 𐤐𐤅𐤓𐤏 porea ignores HVqrmsa מוּסָ֑ר 𐤌𐤅𐤎𐤓 musar discipline HNcmsa וְ/שׁוֹמֵ֖ר 𐤅/𐤔𐤅𐤌𐤓 veshomer but-whoever-regards HC/Vqrmsa תּוֹכַ֣חַת 𐤕𐤅𐤊𐤇𐤕 tokhachat reproof HNcfsa יְכֻבָּֽד 𐤉𐤊𐤁𐤃 yekhubad will-be-honored HVPi3ms

desire accomplished is sweet to the soul but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil

19 תַּאֲוָ֣ה 𐤕𐤀𐤅𐤄 taavah desire HNcfsa נִ֭הְיָה 𐤍𐤄𐤉𐤄 niheyah accomplished HVNrfsa תֶּעֱרַ֣ב 𐤕𐤏𐤓𐤁 teerav is sweet HVqi3fs לְ/נָ֑פֶשׁ 𐤋/𐤍𐤐𐤔 lenafesh to the soul HR/Ncbsa וְ/תוֹעֲבַ֥ת 𐤅/𐤕𐤅𐤏𐤁𐤕 vetoavat but it is abomination HC/Ncfsc כְּ֝סִילִ֗ים 𐤊𐤎𐤉𐤋𐤉𐤌 kesilim to fools HAampa ס֣וּר 𐤎𐤅𐤓 sur to depart HVqc מֵ/רָֽע 𐤌/𐤓𐤏 mera from evil HR/Aamsa

He who walks walks with wise men will be wise he will be wise companion of fools will suffer harm

20 הלוך 𐤄𐤋𐤅𐤊 hlvkh He who walks HVqa הוֹלֵ֣ךְ 𐤄𐤅𐤋𐤊 holekhe walks HVqrmsa אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et with HR חֲכָמִ֣ים 𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤉𐤌 chakhamim wise men HAampa ו/חכם 𐤅/𐤇𐤊𐤌 vchkhm will be wise HC/Vqv2ms יֶחְכָּ֑ם 𐤉𐤇𐤊𐤌 yechekam he will be wise HVqi3ms וְ/רֹעֶ֖ה 𐤅/𐤓𐤏𐤄 veroeh companion HC/Vqrmsa כְסִילִ֣ים 𐤊𐤎𐤉𐤋𐤉𐤌 khesilim of fools HAampa יֵרֽוֹעַ 𐤉𐤓𐤅𐤏 yeroa will suffer harm HVNi3ms

sinners pursues evil but the righteous will reward good

21 חַ֭טָּאִים 𐤇𐤈𐤀𐤉𐤌 chataim sinners HAampa תְּרַדֵּ֣ף 𐤕𐤓𐤃𐤐 teradef pursues HVpi3fs רָעָ֑ה 𐤓𐤏𐤄 raah evil HNcfsa וְ/אֶת 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet but HC/To צַ֝דִּיקִ֗ים 𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒𐤉𐤌 tsadiqim the righteous HAampa יְשַׁלֶּם 𐤉𐤔𐤋𐤌 yeshalem will reward HVpi3ms טֽוֹב 𐤈𐤅𐤁 tov good HAamsa

good leaves to his children and-stored-up for the righteous wealth of the sinner

22 ט֗וֹב 𐤈𐤅𐤁 tov good HAamsa יַנְחִ֥יל 𐤉𐤍𐤇𐤉𐤋 yanechil leaves HVhi3ms בְּנֵֽי 𐤁𐤍𐤉 beney Bene (Bemba) to his HNcmpc בָנִ֑ים 𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤌 vanim Bene (Bemba) children HNcmpa וְ/צָפ֥וּן 𐤅/𐤑𐤐𐤅𐤍 vetsafun and-stored-up HC/Vqsmsa לַ֝/צַּדִּ֗יק 𐤋/𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒 latsadiq for the righteous HRd/Aamsa חֵ֣יל 𐤇𐤉𐤋 cheyl wealth HNcmsc חוֹטֵֽא 𐤇𐤅𐤈𐤀 chote of the sinner HVqrmsa

much food tillage of the poor and there is that is swept away without justice

23 רָב 𐤓𐤁 rav much HNcbsc אֹ֭כֶל 𐤀𐤊𐤋 okhel food HNcmsa נִ֣יר 𐤍𐤉𐤓 nir tillage HNcmsc רָאשִׁ֑ים 𐤓𐤀𐤔𐤉𐤌 rashim of the poor HVqrmpa וְ/יֵ֥שׁ 𐤅/𐤉𐤔 veyesh and there is HC/Tm נִ֝סְפֶּ֗ה 𐤍𐤎𐤐𐤄 nisepeh that is swept away HVNrmsa בְּ/לֹ֣א 𐤁/𐤋𐤀 belo without HR/Tn מִשְׁפָּֽט 𐤌𐤔𐤐𐤈 mishepat justice HNcmsa

withholds his rod hates his son but he who loves him diligently seeks discipline
