שׁלמה (Solomon) blesses the assembly, acknowledges YHWH's presence in the Temple he built, and offers an extensive dedicatory prayer invoking YHWH to hear from heaven prayers directed toward the Temple in scenarios of oaths, defeat by enemies, drought, famine, plague, captivity, and foreign supplications, forgiving sins upon repentance and maintaining justice[1][2][6].

For had made Solomon platform of bronze and had set it in the midst of the court five cubits its length and five cubits its width cubits three its height and he stood on it and he blessed on his knees before all the assembly of Israel and he spread out his hands toward heaven

then you hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your servants and your people Israel when you teach them to the way the good in which they should walk in it and give rain upon your land which you have given to your people for an inheritance
