Moreover said Ahithophel to Absalom Let me choose please twelve twelve thousand men and I will arise and pursue after David tonight

1 וַ/יֹּ֥אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer Moreover said HC/Vqw3ms אֲחִיתֹ֖פֶל 𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤕𐤐𐤋 achitofel Ahithophel HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR אַבְשָׁלֹ֑ם 𐤀𐤁𐤔𐤋𐤌 aveshalom Absalom HNp אֶבְחֲרָ֣ה 𐤀𐤁𐤇𐤓𐤄 evecharah Let me choose HVqh1cs נָּ֗א 𐤍𐤀 na please HTj שְׁנֵים 𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 sheneym twelve HAcmda עָשָׂ֥ר 𐤏𐤔𐤓 asar twelve HAcmsa אֶ֨לֶף֙ 𐤀𐤋𐤐 elef thousand HAcbsa אִ֔ישׁ 𐤀𐤉𐤔 ish men HNcmsa וְ/אָק֛וּמָה 𐤅/𐤀𐤒𐤅𐤌𐤄 veaqumah and I will arise HC/Vqh1cs וְ/אֶרְדְּפָ֥ה 𐤅/𐤀𐤓𐤃𐤐𐤄 veeredefah and pursue HC/Vqh1cs אַחֲרֵי 𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉 acharey after HR דָוִ֖ד 𐤃𐤅𐤃 david David HNp הַ/לָּֽיְלָה 𐤄/𐤋𐤉𐤋𐤄 halayelah tonight HTd/Ncmsa

and I will come upon him and he is weary and weak of hands and I will terrify him and will flee all the people that with him and I will strike [direct object marker] the king alone

2 וְ/אָב֣וֹא 𐤅/𐤀𐤁𐤅𐤀 veavo and I will come HC/Vqi1cs עָלָ֗י/ו 𐤏𐤋𐤉/𐤅 alayv upon him HR/Sp3ms וְ/ה֤וּא 𐤅/𐤄𐤅𐤀 vehu and he HC/Pp3ms יָגֵ֨עַ֙ 𐤉𐤂𐤏 yagea is weary HAamsa וּ/רְפֵ֣ה 𐤅/𐤓𐤐𐤄 urefeh and weak HC/Aamsc יָדַ֔יִם 𐤉𐤃𐤉𐤌 yadayim of hands HNcbda וְ/הַֽחֲרַדְתִּ֣י 𐤅/𐤄𐤇𐤓𐤃𐤕𐤉 vehacharadeti and I will terrify HC/Vhq1cs אֹת֔/וֹ 𐤀𐤕/𐤅 oto him HTo/Sp3ms וְ/נָ֖ס 𐤅/𐤍𐤎 venas and will flee HC/Vqq3ms כָּל 𐤊𐤋 kal all HNcmsc הָ/עָ֣ם 𐤄/𐤏𐤌 haam the people HTd/Ncmsa אֲשֶׁר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr אִתּ֑/וֹ 𐤀𐤕/𐤅 ito with him HR/Sp3ms וְ/הִכֵּיתִ֥י 𐤅/𐤄𐤊𐤉𐤕𐤉 vehikeyti and I will strike HC/Vhq1cs אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et [direct object marker] HTo הַ/מֶּ֖לֶךְ 𐤄/𐤌𐤋𐤊 hamelekhe the king HTd/Ncmsa לְ/בַדּֽ/וֹ 𐤋/𐤁𐤃/𐤅 levado alone HR/Ncmsc/Sp3ms

and-I-will-bring-back all the-people to-you like-return the-all the-man whom you seek all the-people will-be peace

3 וְ/אָשִׁ֥יבָה 𐤅/𐤀𐤔𐤉𐤁𐤄 veashivah and-I-will-bring-back HC/Vhh1cs כָל 𐤊𐤋 khal all HNcmsc הָ/עָ֖ם 𐤄/𐤏𐤌 haam the-people HTd/Ncmsa אֵלֶ֑י/ךָ 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤊 eleykha to-you HR/Sp2ms כְּ/שׁ֣וּב 𐤊/𐤔𐤅𐤁 keshuv like-return HR/Vqc הַ/כֹּ֔ל 𐤄/𐤊𐤋 hakol the-all HTd/Ncmsa הָ/אִישׁ֙ 𐤄/𐤀𐤉𐤔 haish the-man HTd/Ncmsa אֲשֶׁ֣ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher whom HTr אַתָּ֣ה 𐤀𐤕𐤄 atah you HPp2ms מְבַקֵּ֔שׁ 𐤌𐤁𐤒𐤔 mevaqesh seek HVprmsa כָּל 𐤊𐤋 kal all HNcmsc הָ/עָ֖ם 𐤄/𐤏𐤌 haam-2 the-people HTd/Ncmsa יִהְיֶ֥ה 𐤉𐤄𐤉𐤄 yiheyeh will-be HVqi3ms שָׁלֽוֹם 𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌 shalom peace HNcmsa

Then said Absalom Call now also Hushai the Archite and let us hear what he has to say also he

5 וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer Then said HC/Vqw3ms אַבְשָׁל֔וֹם 𐤀𐤁𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌 aveshalom Absalom HNp קְרָ֣א 𐤒𐤓𐤀 qera Call HVqv2ms נָ֔א 𐤍𐤀 na now HTe גַּ֖ם 𐤂𐤌 gam also HTa לְ/חוּשַׁ֣י 𐤋/𐤇𐤅𐤔𐤉 lechushay Hushai HR/Np הָ/אַרְכִּ֑י 𐤄/𐤀𐤓𐤊𐤉 haareki the Archite HTd/Ngmsa וְ/נִשְׁמְעָ֥ה 𐤅/𐤍𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤄 venishemeah and let us hear HC/Vqh1cp מַה 𐤌𐤄 mah what HTi בְּ/פִ֖י/ו 𐤁/𐤐𐤉/𐤅 befiv he has to say HR/Ncmsc/Sp3ms גַּם 𐤂𐤌 gam-2 also HTa הֽוּא 𐤄𐤅𐤀 hu he HPp3ms

And Hushai came Hushai to Absalom And Absalom said Absalom to him saying according to the word this has spoken Ahithophel shall we do - his saying/plan if not you speak

6 וַ/יָּבֹ֣א 𐤅/𐤉𐤁𐤀 vayavo And Hushai came HC/Vqw3ms חוּשַׁי֮ 𐤇𐤅𐤔𐤉 chushay Hushai HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR אַבְשָׁלוֹם֒ 𐤀𐤁𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌 aveshalom Absalom HNp וַ/יֹּאמֶר֩ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And Absalom said HC/Vqw3ms אַבְשָׁל֨וֹם 𐤀𐤁𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌 aveshalom-2 Absalom HNp אֵלָ֜י/ו 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤅 elayv to him HR/Sp3ms לֵ/אמֹ֗ר 𐤋/𐤀𐤌𐤓 lemor saying HR/Vqc כַּ/דָּבָ֤ר 𐤊/𐤃𐤁𐤓 kadavar according to the word HRd/Ncmsa הַ/זֶּה֙ 𐤄/𐤆𐤄 hazeh this HTd/Pdxms דִּבֶּ֣ר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 diber has spoken HVpp3ms אֲחִיתֹ֔פֶל 𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤕𐤐𐤋 achitofel Ahithophel HNp הֲ/נַעֲשֶׂ֖ה 𐤄/𐤍𐤏𐤔𐤄 hanaaseh shall we do HTi/Vqi1cp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et - HTo דְּבָר֑/וֹ 𐤃𐤁𐤓/𐤅 devaro his saying/plan HNcmsc/Sp3ms אִם 𐤀𐤌 im if HC אַ֖יִן 𐤀𐤉𐤍 ayin not HTn אַתָּ֥ה 𐤀𐤕𐤄 atah you HPp2ms דַבֵּֽר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 daber speak HVpv2ms

And Hushai said Hushai to Absalom not good the counsel that has counseled Ahithophel at this time this

7 וַ/יֹּ֥אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And Hushai said HC/Vqw3ms חוּשַׁ֖י 𐤇𐤅𐤔𐤉 chushay Hushai HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR אַבְשָׁל֑וֹם 𐤀𐤁𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌 aveshalom Absalom HNp לֹֽא 𐤋𐤀 lo not HTn טוֹבָ֧ה 𐤈𐤅𐤁𐤄 tovah good HAafsa הָ/עֵצָ֛ה 𐤄/𐤏𐤑𐤄 haetsah the counsel HTd/Ncfsa אֲשֶׁר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr יָעַ֥ץ 𐤉𐤏𐤑 yaats has counseled HVqp3ms אֲחִיתֹ֖פֶל 𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤕𐤐𐤋 achitofel Ahithophel HNp בַּ/פַּ֥עַם 𐤁/𐤐𐤏𐤌 bapaam at this time HRd/Ncfsa הַ/זֹּֽאת 𐤄/𐤆𐤀𐤕 hazot this HTd/Pdxfs

and said Hushai you know et- your father and-et- his men that mighty-men they and-bitter-of soul they like-a-bear bereaved in-the-field and-your-father man of-war and-not he-will-lodge with the-people

8 וַ/יֹּ֣אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and said HC/Vqw3ms חוּשַׁ֗י 𐤇𐤅𐤔𐤉 chushay Hushai HNp אַתָּ֣ה 𐤀𐤕𐤄 atah you HPp2ms יָ֠דַעְתָּ 𐤉𐤃𐤏𐤕 yadaeta know HVqp2ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et et- HTo אָבִ֨י/ךָ 𐤀𐤁𐤉/𐤊 avikha your father HNcmsc/Sp2ms וְ/אֶת 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet and-et- HC/To אֲנָשָׁ֜י/ו 𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉/𐤅 anashayv his men HNcmpc/Sp3ms כִּ֧י 𐤊𐤉 ki that HC גִבֹּרִ֣ים 𐤂𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤌 giborim mighty-men HAampa הֵ֗מָּה 𐤄𐤌𐤄 hemah they HPp3mp וּ/מָרֵ֥י 𐤅/𐤌𐤓𐤉 umarey and-bitter-of HC/Aampc נֶ֨פֶשׁ֙ 𐤍𐤐𐤔 nefesh soul HNcbsa הֵ֔מָּה 𐤄𐤌𐤄 hemah-2 they HPp3mp כְּ/דֹ֥ב 𐤊/𐤃𐤁 kedov like-a-bear HR/Ncmsa שַׁכּ֖וּל 𐤔𐤊𐤅𐤋 shakul bereaved HAamsa בַּ/שָּׂדֶ֑ה 𐤁/𐤔𐤃𐤄 basadeh in-the-field HRd/Ncmsa וְ/אָבִ֨י/ךָ֙ 𐤅/𐤀𐤁𐤉/𐤊 veavikha and-your-father HC/Ncmsc/Sp2ms אִ֣ישׁ 𐤀𐤉𐤔 ish man HNcmsc מִלְחָמָ֔ה 𐤌𐤋𐤇𐤌𐤄 milechamah of-war HNcfsa וְ/לֹ֥א 𐤅/𐤋𐤀 velo and-not HC/Tn יָלִ֖ין 𐤉𐤋𐤉𐤍 yalin he-will-lodge HVqi3ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et-2 with HR הָ/עָֽם 𐤄/𐤏𐤌 haam the-people HTd/Ncmsa

And even he also son of valor whose his heart like the heart of the lion will melt will utterly melt for knows all Israel that mighty your father and the sons of valor who are with him

for I have advised the gathering let be gathered to you all Israel from Dan and to Beersheba of Sheba like the sand that on the sea for multitude and your face going in the battle

and-we-will-come to-him in-one in-a the-places where he-is-found there and-we upon-him as falls the-dew on the-ground and-not will-be-left in-him and-in-all the-men that with-him even one

and-if to city he-withdraws and-they-will-bring all Israel to the-city that ropes and-we-will-drag it until the-valley until that not is-found there even pebble
