Daniel 10

Daniel mourns for three weeks by the Tigris River, abstaining from delicacies, then sees a glorious man clothed in linen whose appearance overwhelms him with weakness.[1][2][3] A heavenly messenger explains his delayed arrival due to battle with the prince of Persia, aided by Michael, before revealing future events recorded in the scripture of truth.[1][2][4]

In the year third of Cyrus king of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel who was called his name Belteshazzar and truth the message and conflict great and he understood [direct object marker] the message and understanding for him in the vision
And he said to me Daniel man of desires understand the words that I am speaking to you and stand on your standing for now I have been sent to you and in his speaking with me - the word this I stood trembling
Then he said to me Do not be afraid Daniel for from the day first that you set [direct object marker] your heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God were heard your words and I have come in response to your words
and behold like the likeness of sons of man touching on my lips and I opened my mouth and I spoke and I said to the one standing before me my lord in the vision turned my pains upon me and not I retained strength
