Then he lifted up Jacob his feet and went to the land of the sons of the east

1 וַ/יִּשָּׂ֥א 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤀 vayisa Then he lifted up HC/Vqw3ms יַעֲקֹ֖ב 𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 yaaqov Jacob HNp רַגְלָ֑י/ו 𐤓𐤂𐤋𐤉/𐤅 ragelayv his feet HNcfdc/Sp3ms וַ/יֵּ֖לֶךְ 𐤅/𐤉𐤋𐤊 vayelekhe and went HC/Vqw3ms אַ֥רְצָ/ה 𐤀𐤓𐤑/𐤄 aretsah to the land HNcbsc/Sd בְנֵי 𐤁𐤍𐤉 veney Bene (Bemba) of the sons of HNcmpc קֶֽדֶם 𐤒𐤃𐤌 qedem the east HNcmsa

and he looked and behold a well in the field and behold there three flocks of sheep lying beside it for out of the well that they watered the flocks and the stone great upon the mouth of the well

2 וַ/יַּ֞רְא 𐤅/𐤉𐤓𐤀 vayare and he looked HC/Vqw3ms וְ/הִנֵּ֧ה 𐤅/𐤄𐤍𐤄 vehineh and behold HC/Tm בְאֵ֣ר 𐤁𐤀𐤓 veer a well HNcfsa בַּ/שָּׂדֶ֗ה 𐤁/𐤔𐤃𐤄 basadeh in the field HRd/Ncmsa וְ/הִנֵּה 𐤅/𐤄𐤍𐤄 vehineh-2 and behold HC/Tm שָׁ֞ם 𐤔𐤌 sham there HD שְׁלֹשָׁ֤ה 𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤄 sheloshah three HAcmsa עֶדְרֵי 𐤏𐤃𐤓𐤉 ederey flocks HNcmpc צֹאן֙ 𐤑𐤀𐤍 tson of sheep HNcbsa רֹבְצִ֣ים 𐤓𐤁𐤑𐤉𐤌 rovetsim lying HVqrmpa עָלֶ֔י/הָ 𐤏𐤋𐤉/𐤄 aleyha beside it HR/Sp3fs כִּ֚י 𐤊𐤉 ki for HC מִן 𐤌𐤍 min out of HR הַ/בְּאֵ֣ר 𐤄/𐤁𐤀𐤓 habeer the well HTd/Ncfsa הַ/הִ֔וא 𐤄/𐤄𐤅𐤀 hahiv that HTd/Pp3fs יַשְׁק֖וּ 𐤉𐤔𐤒𐤅 yashequ they watered HVhi3mp הָ/עֲדָרִ֑ים 𐤄/𐤏𐤃𐤓𐤉𐤌 haadarim the flocks HTd/Ncmpa וְ/הָ/אֶ֥בֶן 𐤅/𐤄/𐤀𐤁𐤍 vehaeven and the stone HC/Td/Ncfsa גְּדֹלָ֖ה 𐤂𐤃𐤋𐤄 gedolah great HAafsa עַל 𐤏𐤋 al upon HR פִּ֥י 𐤐𐤉 pi the mouth HNcmsc הַ/בְּאֵֽר 𐤄/𐤁𐤀𐤓 habeer-2 of the well HTd/Ncfsa

were gathered there all the flocks they rolled - the stone from mouth of the well and watered - the sheep and put - the stone on mouth of the well in its place

3 וְ/נֶאֶסְפוּ 𐤅/𐤍𐤀𐤎𐤐𐤅 veneesefu were gathered HC/VNp3cp שָׁ֣מָּ/ה 𐤔𐤌/𐤄 shamah there HD/Sd כָל 𐤊𐤋 khal all HNcmsc הָ/עֲדָרִ֗ים 𐤄/𐤏𐤃𐤓𐤉𐤌 haadarim the flocks HTd/Ncmpa וְ/גָלֲל֤וּ 𐤅/𐤂𐤋𐤋𐤅 vegalalu they rolled HC/Vqp3cp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et - HTo הָ/אֶ֨בֶן֙ 𐤄/𐤀𐤁𐤍 haeven the stone HTd/Ncfsa מֵ/עַל֙ 𐤌/𐤏𐤋 meal from HR/R פִּ֣י 𐤐𐤉 pi mouth HNcmsc הַ/בְּאֵ֔ר 𐤄/𐤁𐤀𐤓 habeer of the well HTd/Ncfsa וְ/הִשְׁק֖וּ 𐤅/𐤄𐤔𐤒𐤅 vehishequ and watered HC/Vhp3cp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et-2 - HTo הַ/צֹּ֑אן 𐤄/𐤑𐤀𐤍 hatson the sheep HTd/Ncbsa וְ/הֵשִׁ֧יבוּ 𐤅/𐤄𐤔𐤉𐤁𐤅 veheshivu and put HC/Vhp3cp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et-3 - HTo הָ/אֶ֛בֶן 𐤄/𐤀𐤁𐤍 haeven-2 the stone HTd/Ncfsa עַל 𐤏𐤋 al on HR פִּ֥י 𐤐𐤉 pi-2 mouth HNcmsc הַ/בְּאֵ֖ר 𐤄/𐤁𐤀𐤓 habeer-2 of the well HTd/Ncfsa לִ/מְקֹמָֽ/הּ 𐤋/𐤌𐤒𐤌/𐤄 limeqomah in its place HR/Ncmsc/Sp3fs

and he said to them Jacob my brothers from where are you and they said from Haran we

4 וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and he said HC/Vqw3ms לָ/הֶם֙ 𐤋/𐤄𐤌 lahem to them HR/Sp3mp יַעֲקֹ֔ב 𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 yaaqov Jacob HNp אַחַ֖/י 𐤀𐤇/𐤉 achay my brothers HNcmpc/Sp1cs מֵ/אַ֣יִן 𐤌/𐤀𐤉𐤍 meayin from where HR/Ti אַתֶּ֑ם 𐤀𐤕𐤌 atem are you HPp2mp וַ/יֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 vayomeru and they said HC/Vqw3mp מֵ/חָרָ֖ן 𐤌/𐤇𐤓𐤍 mecharan from Haran HR/Np אֲנָֽחְנוּ 𐤀𐤍𐤇𐤍𐤅 anachenu we HPp1cp

And he said to them Do you know Laban the son of Nahor And they said We know

5 וַ/יֹּ֣אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms לָ/הֶ֔ם 𐤋/𐤄𐤌 lahem to them HR/Sp3mp הַ/יְדַעְתֶּ֖ם 𐤄/𐤉𐤃𐤏𐤕𐤌 hayedaetem Do you know HTi/Vqp2mp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et HTo לָבָ֣ן 𐤋𐤁𐤍 lavan Laban HNp בֶּן 𐤁𐤍 ben Bene (Bemba) the son of HNcmsc נָח֑וֹר 𐤍𐤇𐤅𐤓 nachor Nahor HNp וַ/יֹּאמְר֖וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 vayomeru And they said HC/Vqw3mp יָדָֽעְנוּ 𐤉𐤃𐤏𐤍𐤅 yadaenu We know HVqp1cp

And he said to them Is it well with him And they said It is well and behold Rachel his daughter is coming with the sheep

6 וַ/יֹּ֥אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms לָ/הֶ֖ם 𐤋/𐤄𐤌 lahem to them HR/Sp3mp הֲ/שָׁל֣וֹם 𐤄/𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌 hashalom Is it well HTi/Ncmsa ל֑/וֹ 𐤋/𐤅 lo with him HR/Sp3ms וַ/יֹּאמְר֣וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 vayomeru And they said HC/Vqw3mp שָׁל֔וֹם 𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌 shalom It is well HNcmsa וְ/הִנֵּה֙ 𐤅/𐤄𐤍𐤄 vehineh and behold HC/Tm רָחֵ֣ל 𐤓𐤇𐤋 rachel Rachel HNp בִּתּ֔/וֹ 𐤁𐤕/𐤅 bito his daughter HNcfsc/Sp3ms בָּאָ֖ה 𐤁𐤀𐤄 baah is coming HVqrfsa עִם 𐤏𐤌 im with HR הַ/צֹּֽאן 𐤄/𐤑𐤀𐤍 hatson the sheep HTd/Ncbsa

And he said Behold still the day is great not time for gathering the livestock Water the sheep and go pasture them

7 וַ/יֹּ֗אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms הֵ֥ן 𐤄𐤍 hen Behold HTm עוֹד֙ 𐤏𐤅𐤃 od still HD הַ/יּ֣וֹם 𐤄/𐤉𐤅𐤌 hayom the day HTd/Ncmsa גָּד֔וֹל 𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤋 gadol is great HAamsa לֹא 𐤋𐤀 lo not HTn עֵ֖ת 𐤏𐤕 et time HNcbsc הֵאָסֵ֣ף 𐤄𐤀𐤎𐤐 heasef for gathering HVNc הַ/מִּקְנֶ֑ה 𐤄/𐤌𐤒𐤍𐤄 hamiqeneh the livestock HTd/Ncmsa הַשְׁק֥וּ 𐤄𐤔𐤒𐤅 hashequ Water HVhv2mp הַ/צֹּ֖אן 𐤄/𐤑𐤀𐤍 hatson the sheep HTd/Ncbsa וּ/לְכ֥וּ 𐤅/𐤋𐤊𐤅 ulekhu and go HC/Vqv2mp רְעֽוּ 𐤓𐤏𐤅 reu pasture them HVqv2mp

And they said not we can until that are gathered all the flocks and they roll the stone from mouth of the well then we water the sheep

8 וַ/יֹּאמְרוּ֮ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 vayomeru And they said HC/Vqw3mp לֹ֣א 𐤋𐤀 lo not HTn נוּכַל֒ 𐤍𐤅𐤊𐤋 nukhal we can HVqi1cp עַ֣ד 𐤏𐤃 ad until HR אֲשֶׁ֤ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr יֵאָֽסְפוּ֙ 𐤉𐤀𐤎𐤐𐤅 yeasefu are gathered HVNi3mp כָּל 𐤊𐤋 kal all HNcmsc הָ֣/עֲדָרִ֔ים 𐤄/𐤏𐤃𐤓𐤉𐤌 haadarim the flocks HTd/Ncmpa וְ/גָֽלֲלוּ֙ 𐤅/𐤂𐤋𐤋𐤅 vegalalu and they roll HC/Vqq3cp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et HTo הָ/אֶ֔בֶן 𐤄/𐤀𐤁𐤍 haeven the stone HTd/Ncfsa מֵ/עַ֖ל 𐤌/𐤏𐤋 meal from HR/R פִּ֣י 𐤐𐤉 pi mouth HNcmsc הַ/בְּאֵ֑ר 𐤄/𐤁𐤀𐤓 habeer of the well HTd/Ncfsa וְ/הִשְׁקִ֖ינוּ 𐤅/𐤄𐤔𐤒𐤉𐤍𐤅 vehisheqinu then we water HC/Vhq1cp הַ/צֹּֽאן 𐤄/𐤑𐤀𐤍 hatson the sheep HTd/Ncbsa

while he was still speaking with them Rachel came with the sheep which her father's for she was a shepherdess she

And it came to pass when saw Jacob [direct object marker] Rachel daughter of Laban brother of his mother and [direct object marker] the sheep of Laban brother of his mother and drew near Jacob and rolled [direct object marker] the stone from upon mouth of the well and watered [direct object marker] the flock of Laban brother of his mother

told Jacob to Rachel that kinsman/brother her father he and that son Rebekah he and she ran and told to her father

it came to pass when (Laban) heard Laban (direct object marker) the news/report Jacob son his sister he ran to meet him and embraced him and kissed him and brought him to his house and told to Laban (direct object marker) all the things these

13 וַ/יְהִי֩ 𐤅/𐤉𐤄𐤉 vayehi it came to pass HC/Vqw3ms כִ/שְׁמֹ֨עַ 𐤊/𐤔𐤌𐤏 khishemoa when (Laban) heard HR/Vqc לָבָ֜ן 𐤋𐤁𐤍 lavan Laban HNp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et (direct object marker) HTo שֵׁ֣מַע 𐤔𐤌𐤏 shema the news/report HNcmsc יַעֲקֹ֣ב 𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 yaaqov Jacob HNp בֶּן 𐤁𐤍 ben Bene (Bemba) son HNcmsc אֲחֹת֗/וֹ 𐤀𐤇𐤕/𐤅 achoto his sister HNcfsc/Sp3ms וַ/יָּ֤רָץ 𐤅/𐤉𐤓𐤑 vayarats he ran HC/Vqw3ms לִ/קְרָאת/וֹ֙ 𐤋/𐤒𐤓𐤀𐤕/𐤅 liqerato to meet him HR/Vqc/Sp3ms וַ/יְחַבֶּק 𐤅/𐤉𐤇𐤁𐤒 vayechabeq and embraced HC/Vpw3ms ל/וֹ֙ 𐤋/𐤅 lo him HR/Sp3ms וַ/יְנַשֶּׁק 𐤅/𐤉𐤍𐤔𐤒 vayenasheq and kissed HC/Vpw3ms ל֔/וֹ 𐤋/𐤅 lo-2 him HR/Sp3ms וַ/יְבִיאֵ֖/הוּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤁𐤉𐤀/𐤄𐤅 vayeviehu and brought him HC/Vhw3ms/Sp3ms אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR בֵּית֑/וֹ 𐤁𐤉𐤕/𐤅 beyto his house HNcmsc/Sp3ms וַ/יְסַפֵּ֣ר 𐤅/𐤉𐤎𐤐𐤓 vayesaper and told HC/Vpw3ms לְ/לָבָ֔ן 𐤋/𐤋𐤁𐤍 lelavan to Laban HR/Np אֵ֥ת 𐤀𐤕 et-2 (direct object marker) HTo כָּל 𐤊𐤋 kal all HNcmsc הַ/דְּבָרִ֖ים 𐤄/𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤌 hadevarim the things HTd/Ncmpa הָ/אֵֽלֶּה 𐤄/𐤀𐤋𐤄 haeleh these HTd/Pdxcp

and he said to him Laban surely my bone and my flesh you are and he stayed with him a month of days

14 וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and he said HC/Vqw3ms ל/וֹ֙ 𐤋/𐤅 lo to him HR/Sp3ms לָבָ֔ן 𐤋𐤁𐤍 lavan Laban HNp אַ֛ךְ 𐤀𐤊 akhe surely HTa עַצְמִ֥/י 𐤏𐤑𐤌/𐤉 atsemi my bone HNcfsc/Sp1cs וּ/בְשָׂרִ֖/י 𐤅/𐤁𐤔𐤓/𐤉 uvesari and my flesh HC/Ncmsc/Sp1cs אָ֑תָּה 𐤀𐤕𐤄 atah you are HPp2ms וַ/יֵּ֥שֶׁב 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤁 vayeshev and he stayed HC/Vqw3ms עִמּ֖/וֹ 𐤏𐤌/𐤅 imo with him HR/Sp3ms חֹ֥דֶשׁ 𐤇𐤃𐤔 chodesh Umwenshi (Bemba) a month HNcmsc יָמִֽים 𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 yamim of days HNcmpa

And he said Laban to Jacob Because my brother you are and serve me for nothing Tell me what shall your wages be

15 וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms לָבָן֙ 𐤋𐤁𐤍 lavan Laban HNp לְ/יַעֲקֹ֔ב 𐤋/𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 leyaaqov to Jacob HR/Np הֲ/כִי 𐤄/𐤊𐤉 hakhi Because HTi/C אָחִ֣/י 𐤀𐤇/𐤉 achi my brother HNcmsc/Sp1cs אַ֔תָּה 𐤀𐤕𐤄 atah you are HPp2ms וַ/עֲבַדְתַּ֖/נִי 𐤅/𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤕/𐤍𐤉 vaavadetani and serve me HC/Vqq2ms/Sp1cs חִנָּ֑ם 𐤇𐤍𐤌 chinam for nothing HD הַגִּ֥ידָ/ה 𐤄𐤂𐤉𐤃/𐤄 hagidah Tell HVhv2ms/Sh לִּ֖/י 𐤋/𐤉 li me HR/Sp1cs מַה 𐤌𐤄 mah what HTi מַּשְׂכֻּרְתֶּֽ/ךָ 𐤌𐤔𐤊𐤓𐤕/𐤊 masekuretekha shall your wages be HNcfsc/Sp2ms

And to Laban two daughters the name of the older was Leah and the name of the younger Rachel
