And it came to pass after the things these and God tested [direct object marker] Abraham and said to him Abraham and he said Here I am

and he said take now your son your only son whom you love Isaac and go yourself to the land of Moriah and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will tell you

2 וַ/יֹּ֡אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and he said HC/Vqw3ms קַח 𐤒𐤇 qach take HVqv2ms נָ֠א 𐤍𐤀 na now HTe אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et HTo בִּנְ/ךָ֨ 𐤁𐤍/𐤊 binekha Bene (Bemba) your son HNcmsc/Sp2ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et-2 HTo יְחִֽידְ/ךָ֤ 𐤉𐤇𐤉𐤃/𐤊 yechidekha your only son HAamsc/Sp2ms אֲשֶׁר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher whom HTr אָהַ֨בְתָּ֙ 𐤀𐤄𐤁𐤕 ahaveta you love HVqp2ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et-3 HTo יִצְחָ֔ק 𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 yitsechaq Isaac HNp וְ/לֶךְ 𐤅/𐤋𐤊 velekhe and go HC/Vqv2ms לְ/ךָ֔ 𐤋/𐤊 lekha yourself HR/Sp2ms אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR אֶ֖רֶץ 𐤀𐤓𐤑 erets the land HNcbsc הַ/מֹּרִיָּ֑ה 𐤄/𐤌𐤓𐤉𐤄 hamoriyah of Moriah HTd/Np וְ/הַעֲלֵ֤/הוּ 𐤅/𐤄𐤏𐤋/𐤄𐤅 vehaalehu and offer him HC/Vhv2ms/Sp3ms שָׁם֙ 𐤔𐤌 sham there HD לְ/עֹלָ֔ה 𐤋/𐤏𐤋𐤄 leolah as a burnt offering HR/Ncfsa עַ֚ל 𐤏𐤋 al on HR אַחַ֣ד 𐤀𐤇𐤃 achad Eka (Bemba) one HAcmsa הֶֽ/הָרִ֔ים 𐤄/𐤄𐤓𐤉𐤌 heharim of the mountains HTd/Ncmpa אֲשֶׁ֖ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher-2 which HTr אֹמַ֥ר 𐤀𐤌𐤓 omar I will tell HVqi1cs אֵלֶֽי/ךָ 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤊 eleykha you HR/Sp2ms

rose early Abraham in the morning saddled (direct object marker) his donkey took (direct object marker) two of his young men with him and Isaac his son split wood for the burnt offering arose went to the place which had told him God

On the third day third Abraham lifted up Abraham his eyes and saw the place from afar

And he said Abraham to his young men Stay here here with the donkey and I and the boy will go over there there and worship and come back to you

took Abraham [direct object marker] wood the burnt offering and laid on Isaac his son and took in his hand [direct object marker] the fire and [direct object marker] the knife and they went both of them together

6 וַ/יִּקַּ֨ח 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤇 vayiqach took HC/Vqw3ms אַבְרָהָ֜ם 𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 averaham Abraham HNp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et [direct object marker] HTo עֲצֵ֣י 𐤏𐤑𐤉 atsey wood HNcmpc הָ/עֹלָ֗ה 𐤄/𐤏𐤋𐤄 haolah the burnt offering HTd/Ncfsa וַ/יָּ֨שֶׂם֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤌 vayasem and laid HC/Vqw3ms עַל 𐤏𐤋 al on HR יִצְחָ֣ק 𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 yitsechaq Isaac HNp בְּנ֔/וֹ 𐤁𐤍/𐤅 beno Bene (Bemba) his son HNcmsc/Sp3ms וַ/יִּקַּ֣ח 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤇 vayiqach-2 and took HC/Vqw3ms בְּ/יָד֔/וֹ 𐤁/𐤉𐤃/𐤅 beyado in his hand HR/Ncbsc/Sp3ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et-2 [direct object marker] HTo הָ/אֵ֖שׁ 𐤄/𐤀𐤔 haesh the fire HTd/Ncbsa וְ/אֶת 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet and [direct object marker] HC/To הַֽ/מַּאֲכֶ֑לֶת 𐤄/𐤌𐤀𐤊𐤋𐤕 hamaakhelet the knife HTd/Ncfsa וַ/יֵּלְכ֥וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤋𐤊𐤅 vayelekhu and they went HC/Vqw3mp שְׁנֵי/הֶ֖ם 𐤔𐤍𐤉/𐤄𐤌 sheneyhem both of them HAcmdc/Sp3mp יַחְדָּֽו 𐤉𐤇𐤃𐤅 yachedav together HD

and said Isaac to Abraham his father and he said My father and he said Here I am my son And he said Behold the fire and the wood but where is the lamb for a burnt offering

7 וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and said HC/Vqw3ms יִצְחָ֜ק 𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 yitsechaq Isaac HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR אַבְרָהָ֤ם 𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 averaham Abraham HNp אָבִי/ו֙ 𐤀𐤁𐤉/𐤅 aviv his father HNcmsc/Sp3ms וַ/יֹּ֣אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer-2 and he said HC/Vqw3ms אָבִ֔/י 𐤀𐤁/𐤉 avi My father HNcmsc/Sp1cs וַ/יֹּ֖אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer-3 and he said HC/Vqw3ms הִנֶּ֣נִּֽ/י 𐤄𐤍𐤍/𐤉 hineni Here I am HTm/Sp1cs בְנִ֑/י 𐤁𐤍/𐤉 veni Bene (Bemba) my son HNcmsc/Sp1cs וַ/יֹּ֗אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer-4 And he said HC/Vqw3ms הִנֵּ֤ה 𐤄𐤍𐤄 hineh Behold HTm הָ/אֵשׁ֙ 𐤄/𐤀𐤔 haesh the fire HTd/Ncbsa וְ/הָ֣/עֵצִ֔ים 𐤅/𐤄/𐤏𐤑𐤉𐤌 vehaetsim and the wood HC/Td/Ncmpa וְ/אַיֵּ֥ה 𐤅/𐤀𐤉𐤄 veayeh but where is HC/Ti הַ/שֶּׂ֖ה 𐤄/𐤔𐤄 haseh the lamb HTd/Ncbsa לְ/עֹלָֽה 𐤋/𐤏𐤋𐤄 leolah for a burnt offering HR/Ncfsa

And he said Abraham God will provide/will see for himself the lamb for a burnt offering my son And they went the two of them together

8 וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms אַבְרָהָ֔ם 𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 averaham Abraham HNp אֱלֹהִ֞ים 𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 elohim Mulimu (Lozi) God HNcmpa יִרְאֶה 𐤉𐤓𐤀𐤄 yireeh will provide/will see HVqi3ms לּ֥/וֹ 𐤋/𐤅 lo for himself HR/Sp3ms הַ/שֶּׂ֛ה 𐤄/𐤔𐤄 haseh the lamb HTd/Ncbsa לְ/עֹלָ֖ה 𐤋/𐤏𐤋𐤄 leolah for a burnt offering HR/Ncfsa בְּנִ֑/י 𐤁𐤍/𐤉 beni Bene (Bemba) my son HNcmsc/Sp1cs וַ/יֵּלְכ֥וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤋𐤊𐤅 vayelekhu And they went HC/Vqw3mp שְׁנֵי/הֶ֖ם 𐤔𐤍𐤉/𐤄𐤌 sheneyhem the two of them HAcmdc/Sp3mp יַחְדָּֽו 𐤉𐤇𐤃𐤅 yachedav together HD

they came to the place which he had said to him God he built there Abraham [direct object marker] the altar he arranged [direct object marker] the wood he bound [direct object marker] Isaac his son he laid him on the altar upon the wood

reached out Abraham his hand took the knife to slaughter his son

10 וַ/יִּשְׁלַ֤ח 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤋𐤇 vayishelach reached out HC/Vqw3ms אַבְרָהָם֙ 𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 averaham Abraham HNp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et HTo יָד֔/וֹ 𐤉𐤃/𐤅 yado his hand HNcbsc/Sp3ms וַ/יִּקַּ֖ח 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤇 vayiqach took HC/Vqw3ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et-2 HTo הַֽ/מַּאֲכֶ֑לֶת 𐤄/𐤌𐤀𐤊𐤋𐤕 hamaakhelet the knife HTd/Ncfsa לִ/שְׁחֹ֖ט 𐤋/𐤔𐤇𐤈 lishechot to slaughter HR/Vqc אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et-3 HTo בְּנֽ/וֹ 𐤁𐤍/𐤅 beno Bene (Bemba) his son HNcmsc/Sp3ms

called to him angel of YHWH from heaven and said Abraham Abraham and he said Here I am

11 וַ/יִּקְרָ֨א 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀 vayiqera called HC/Vqw3ms אֵלָ֜י/ו 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤅 elayv to him HR/Sp3ms מַלְאַ֤ךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤀𐤊 maleakhe angel HNcmsc יְהוָה֙ 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) of YHWH HNp מִן 𐤌𐤍 min from HR הַ/שָּׁמַ֔יִם 𐤄/𐤔𐤌𐤉𐤌 hashamayim heaven HTd/Ncmpa וַ/יֹּ֖אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and said HC/Vqw3ms אַבְרָהָ֣ם 𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 averaham Abraham HNp אַבְרָהָ֑ם 𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 averaham-2 Abraham HNp וַ/יֹּ֖אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer-2 and he said HC/Vqw3ms הִנֵּֽנִ/י 𐤄𐤍𐤍/𐤉 hineni Here I am HTm/Sp1cs

And he said do not lay your hand on the boy nor do to him anything for now I know that you fear God you are and have not withheld your son your only from me

12 וַ/יֹּ֗אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms אַל 𐤀𐤋 al do not HTn תִּשְׁלַ֤ח 𐤕𐤔𐤋𐤇 tishelach lay HVqj2ms יָֽדְ/ךָ֙ 𐤉𐤃/𐤊 yadekha your hand HNcbsc/Sp2ms אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el on HR הַ/נַּ֔עַר 𐤄/𐤍𐤏𐤓 hanaar the boy HTd/Ncmsa וְ/אַל 𐤅/𐤀𐤋 veal nor HC/Tn תַּ֥עַשׂ 𐤕𐤏𐤔 taas do HVqj2ms ל֖/וֹ 𐤋/𐤅 lo to him HR/Sp3ms מְא֑וּמָּה 𐤌𐤀𐤅𐤌𐤄 meumah anything HNcfsa כִּ֣י 𐤊𐤉 ki for HC עַתָּ֣ה 𐤏𐤕𐤄 atah now HD יָדַ֗עְתִּי 𐤉𐤃𐤏𐤕𐤉 yadaeti I know HVqp1cs כִּֽי 𐤊𐤉 ki-2 that HC יְרֵ֤א 𐤉𐤓𐤀 yere you fear HAamsc אֱלֹהִים֙ 𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 elohim Mulimu (Lozi) God HNcmpa אַ֔תָּה 𐤀𐤕𐤄 atah-2 you are HPp2ms וְ/לֹ֥א 𐤅/𐤋𐤀 velo and have not HC/Tn חָשַׂ֛כְתָּ 𐤇𐤔𐤊𐤕 chasakheta withheld HVqp2ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et HTo בִּנְ/ךָ֥ 𐤁𐤍/𐤊 binekha Bene (Bemba) your son HNcmsc/Sp2ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et-2 HTo יְחִידְ/ךָ֖ 𐤉𐤇𐤉𐤃/𐤊 yechidekha your only HAamsc/Sp2ms מִמֶּֽ/נִּי 𐤌𐤌/𐤍𐤉 mimeni from me HR/Sp1cs

lifted up Abraham [direct object marker] his eyes and saw and behold a ram behind caught in the thicket by its horns went Abraham took [direct object marker] the ram offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son
