he who walks in his uprightness fears YHWH but he who is devious in his ways despises Him

witness faithful not will lie and breathes out lies witness false

5 עֵ֣ד 𐤏𐤃 ed witness HNcmsc אֱ֭מוּנִים 𐤀𐤌𐤅𐤍𐤉𐤌 emunim faithful HNcmpa לֹ֣א 𐤋𐤀 lo not HTn יְכַזֵּ֑ב 𐤉𐤊𐤆𐤁 yekhazev will lie HVpi3ms וְ/יָפִ֥יחַ 𐤅/𐤉𐤐𐤉𐤇 veyaficha and breathes out HC/Vhi3ms כְּ֝זָבִ֗ים 𐤊𐤆𐤁𐤉𐤌 kezavim lies HNcmpa עֵ֣ד 𐤏𐤃 ed-2 witness HNcmsc שָֽׁקֶר 𐤔𐤒𐤓 shaqer false HNcmsa

seeks scoffer wisdom and-[there is]-none but knowledge to [one who is] discerning is easy

6 בִּקֶּשׁ 𐤁𐤒𐤔 biqesh seeks HVpp3ms לֵ֣ץ 𐤋𐤑 lets scoffer HAamsa חָכְמָ֣ה 𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤄 chakhemah wisdom HNcfsa וָ/אָ֑יִן 𐤅/𐤀𐤉𐤍 vaayin and-[there is]-none HC/Tn וְ/דַ֖עַת 𐤅/𐤃𐤏𐤕 vedaat but knowledge HC/Ncfsa לְ/נָב֣וֹן 𐤋/𐤍𐤁𐤅𐤍 lenavon to [one who is] discerning HR/VNrmsa נָקָֽל 𐤍𐤒𐤋 naqal is easy HVNrmsa

Go from the presence of a man foolish for you will know lips of knowledge

wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way but folly of fools is deceit

8 חָכְמַ֣ת 𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤕 chakhemat wisdom of HNcfsc עָ֭רוּם 𐤏𐤓𐤅𐤌 arum the prudent HAamsa הָבִ֣ין 𐤄𐤁𐤉𐤍 havin is to understand HVhc דַּרְכּ֑/וֹ 𐤃𐤓𐤊/𐤅 dareko his way HNcbsc/Sp3ms וְ/אִוֶּ֖לֶת 𐤅/𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤕 veivelet but folly HC/Ncfsc כְּסִילִ֣ים 𐤊𐤎𐤉𐤋𐤉𐤌 kesilim of fools HAampa מִרְמָֽה 𐤌𐤓𐤌𐤄 miremah is deceit HNcfsa

fools mock at sin but among the upright there is good will

9 אֱ֭וִלִים 𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤉𐤌 evilim fools HAampa יָלִ֣יץ 𐤉𐤋𐤉𐤑 yalits mock HVhi3ms אָשָׁ֑ם 𐤀𐤔𐤌 asham at sin HNcmsa וּ/בֵ֖ין 𐤅/𐤁𐤉𐤍 uveyn but among HC/R יְשָׁרִ֣ים 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤉𐤌 yesharim the upright HAampa רָצֽוֹן 𐤓𐤑𐤅𐤍 ratson there is good will HNcmsa

heart knows bitterness of his soul and in his joy not will intermeddle a stranger

10 לֵ֗ב 𐤋𐤁 lev heart HNcmsa י֭וֹדֵעַ 𐤉𐤅𐤃𐤏 yodea knows HVqrmsa מָרַּ֣ת 𐤌𐤓𐤕 marat bitterness HNcfsc נַפְשׁ֑/וֹ 𐤍𐤐𐤔/𐤅 nafesho of his soul HNcbsc/Sp3ms וּ֝/בְ/שִׂמְחָת֗/וֹ 𐤅/𐤁/𐤔𐤌𐤇𐤕/𐤅 uvesimechato and in his joy HC/R/Ncfsc/Sp3ms לֹא 𐤋𐤀 lo not HTn יִתְעָ֥רַב 𐤉𐤕𐤏𐤓𐤁 yitearav will intermeddle HVti3ms זָֽר 𐤆𐤓 zar a stranger HAamsa

house of the wicked will be destroyed but the tent of the upright will flourish

11 בֵּ֣ית 𐤁𐤉𐤕 beyt house HNcmsc רְ֭שָׁעִים 𐤓𐤔𐤏𐤉𐤌 reshaim of the wicked HAampa יִשָּׁמֵ֑ד 𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤃 yishamed will be destroyed HVNi3ms וְ/אֹ֖הֶל 𐤅/𐤀𐤄𐤋 veohel but the tent HC/Ncmsc יְשָׁרִ֣ים 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤉𐤌 yesharim of the upright HAampa יַפְרִֽיחַ 𐤉𐤐𐤓𐤉𐤇 yafericha will flourish HVhi3ms

there is a way that seems right before a man but its end are the ways of death

Even in laughter may ache the heart and its end joy grief

13 גַּם 𐤂𐤌 gam Even HTa בִּ/שְׂח֥וֹק 𐤁/𐤔𐤇𐤅𐤒 bisechoq in laughter HR/Ncmsa יִכְאַב 𐤉𐤊𐤀𐤁 yikheav may ache HVqi3ms לֵ֑ב 𐤋𐤁 lev the heart HNcmsa וְ/אַחֲרִיתָ֖/הּ 𐤅/𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉𐤕/𐤄 veacharitah and its end HC/Ncfsc/Sp3fs שִׂמְחָ֣ה 𐤔𐤌𐤇𐤄 simechah joy HNcfsa תוּגָֽה 𐤕𐤅𐤂𐤄 tugah grief HNcfsa

from his ways shall be filled the backslider in heart and from upon him man good

the naive believes every word but the prudent considers his steps

wise man fears and turns away from evil but a fool rages and is confident

short-tempered of anger acts foolishly and-a-man of evil schemes is hated

17 קְֽצַר 𐤒𐤑𐤓 qetsar short-tempered HAamsc אַ֭פַּיִם 𐤀𐤐𐤉𐤌 apayim of anger HNcmda יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה 𐤉𐤏𐤔𐤄 yaaseh acts HVqi3ms אִוֶּ֑לֶת 𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤕 ivelet foolishly HNcfsa וְ/אִ֥ישׁ 𐤅/𐤀𐤉𐤔 veish and-a-man HC/Ncmsc מְ֝זִמּ֗וֹת 𐤌𐤆𐤌𐤅𐤕 mezimot of evil schemes HNcfpa יִשָּׂנֵֽא 𐤉𐤔𐤍𐤀 yisane is hated HVNi3ms

inherit the naive foolishness but the prudent are crowned with knowledge

18 נָחֲל֣וּ 𐤍𐤇𐤋𐤅 nachalu inherit HVqp3cp פְתָאיִ֣ם 𐤐𐤕𐤀𐤉𐤌 fetayim the naive HNcmpa אִוֶּ֑לֶת 𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤕 ivelet foolishness HNcfsa וַֽ֝/עֲרוּמִ֗ים 𐤅/𐤏𐤓𐤅𐤌𐤉𐤌 vaarumim but the prudent HC/Aampa יַכְתִּ֥רוּ 𐤉𐤊𐤕𐤓𐤅 yakhetiru are crowned HVhi3mp דָֽעַת 𐤃𐤏𐤕 daat with knowledge HNcfsa

bow down evil ones before good ones and wicked ones at gates of righteous

even by his neighbor is hated the poor but lovers of the rich are many

20 גַּם 𐤂𐤌 gam even HTa לְ֭/רֵעֵ/הוּ 𐤋/𐤓𐤏/𐤄𐤅 lereehu by his neighbor HR/Ncmsc/Sp3ms יִשָּׂ֣נֵא 𐤉𐤔𐤍𐤀 yisane is hated HVNi3ms רָ֑שׁ 𐤓𐤔 rash the poor HVqrmsa וְ/אֹהֲבֵ֖י 𐤅/𐤀𐤄𐤁𐤉 veohavey but lovers HC/Vqrmpc עָשִׁ֣יר 𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤓 ashir of the rich HAamsa רַבִּֽים 𐤓𐤁𐤉𐤌 rabim are many HAampa

despises his neighbor sins but is gracious the poor the humble happy is he

Do they not go astray who devise evil but kindness and truth who devise good

In all toil there is profit but word of lips only to poverty

crown of the wise is their riches the folly of fools is folly

saves lives witness truthful breathes out lies deceitful

25 מַצִּ֣יל 𐤌𐤑𐤉𐤋 matsil saves HVhrmsa נְ֭פָשׁוֹת 𐤍𐤐𐤔𐤅𐤕 nefashot lives HNcbpa עֵ֣ד 𐤏𐤃 ed witness HNcmsc אֱמֶ֑ת 𐤀𐤌𐤕 emet truthful HNcfsa וְ/יָפִ֖חַ 𐤅/𐤉𐤐𐤇 veyaficha breathes out HC/Vhi3ms כְּזָבִ֣ים 𐤊𐤆𐤁𐤉𐤌 kezavim lies HNcmpa מִרְמָֽה 𐤌𐤓𐤌𐤄 miremah deceitful HNcfsa

in the fear of YHWH confidence strong and to his children will be refuge

life to the body heart is healing and rot of the bones envy

oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker but honors Him is gracious to the needy

Righteousness exalts a nation but mercy to peoples is a sin
