Then Joseph came Joseph and told to Pharaoh and said My father and my brothers and their flocks and their herds and all that they have have come from the land of Canaan and behold they in the land of Goshen

1 וַ/יָּבֹ֣א 𐤅/𐤉𐤁𐤀 vayavo Then Joseph came HC/Vqw3ms יוֹסֵף֮ 𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 yosef Joseph HNp וַ/יַּגֵּ֣ד 𐤅/𐤉𐤂𐤃 vayaged and told HC/Vhw3ms לְ/פַרְעֹה֒ 𐤋/𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 lefareoh to Pharaoh HR/Np וַ/יֹּ֗אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and said HC/Vqw3ms אָבִ֨/י 𐤀𐤁/𐤉 avi My father HNcmsc/Sp1cs וְ/אַחַ֜/י 𐤅/𐤀𐤇/𐤉 veachay and my brothers HC/Ncmpc/Sp1cs וְ/צֹאנָ֤/ם 𐤅/𐤑𐤀𐤍/𐤌 vetsonam and their flocks HC/Ncbsc/Sp3mp וּ/בְקָרָ/ם֙ 𐤅/𐤁𐤒𐤓/𐤌 uveqaram and their herds HC/Ncbsc/Sp3mp וְ/כָל 𐤅/𐤊𐤋 vekhal and all HC/Ncmsc אֲשֶׁ֣ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that HTr לָ/הֶ֔ם 𐤋/𐤄𐤌 lahem they have HR/Sp3mp בָּ֖אוּ 𐤁𐤀𐤅 bau have come HVqp3cp מֵ/אֶ֣רֶץ 𐤌/𐤀𐤓𐤑 meerets from the land HR/Ncbsc כְּנָ֑עַן 𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍 kenaan of Canaan HNp וְ/הִנָּ֖/ם 𐤅/𐤄𐤍/𐤌 vehinam and behold they HC/Tm/Sp3mp בְּ/אֶ֥רֶץ 𐤁/𐤀𐤓𐤑 beerets in the land HR/Ncbsc גֹּֽשֶׁן 𐤂𐤔𐤍 goshen of Goshen HNp

and from among his brothers he took five men and presented them before Pharaoh

2 וּ/מִ/קְצֵ֣ה 𐤅/𐤌/𐤒𐤑𐤄 umiqetseh and from among HC/R/Ncbsc אֶחָ֔י/ו 𐤀𐤇𐤉/𐤅 echayv his brothers HNcmpc/Sp3ms לָקַ֖ח 𐤋𐤒𐤇 laqach he took HVqp3ms חֲמִשָּׁ֣ה 𐤇𐤌𐤔𐤄 chamishah five HAcmsa אֲנָשִׁ֑ים 𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌 anashim men HNcmpa וַ/יַּצִּגֵ֖/ם 𐤅/𐤉𐤑𐤂/𐤌 vayatsigem and presented them HC/Vhw3ms/Sp3mp לִ/פְנֵ֥י 𐤋/𐤐𐤍𐤉 lifeney before HR/Ncbpc פַרְעֹֽה 𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 fareoh Pharaoh HNp

And he said Pharaoh to his brothers What is your occupation And they said to Pharaoh shepherds of sheep your servants both we and our fathers

3 וַ/יֹּ֧אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms פַּרְעֹ֛ה 𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 pareoh Pharaoh HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR אֶחָ֖י/ו 𐤀𐤇𐤉/𐤅 echayv his brothers HNcmpc/Sp3ms מַה 𐤌𐤄 mah What HTi מַּעֲשֵׂי/כֶ֑ם 𐤌𐤏𐤔𐤉/𐤊𐤌 maaseykhem is your occupation HNcmpc/Sp2mp וַ/יֹּאמְר֣וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 vayomeru And they said HC/Vqw3mp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el-2 to HR פַּרְעֹ֗ה 𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 pareoh-2 Pharaoh HNp רֹעֵ֥ה 𐤓𐤏𐤄 roeh shepherds HVqrmsc צֹאן֙ 𐤑𐤀𐤍 tson of sheep HNcbsa עֲבָדֶ֔י/ךָ 𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉/𐤊 avadeykha your servants HNcmpc/Sp2ms גַּם 𐤂𐤌 gam both HTa אֲנַ֖חְנוּ 𐤀𐤍𐤇𐤍𐤅 anachenu we HPp1cp גַּם 𐤂𐤌 gam-2 and HTa אֲבוֹתֵֽי/נוּ 𐤀𐤁𐤅𐤕𐤉/𐤍𐤅 avoteynu our fathers HNcmpc/Sp1cp

and they said to Pharaoh to sojourn in the land we have come for there is no pasture for the flocks which belong to your servants for severe the famine in the land of Canaan and now let dwell please your servants in the land of Goshen

4 וַ/יֹּאמְר֣וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 vayomeru and they said HC/Vqw3mp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR פַּרְעֹ֗ה 𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 pareoh Pharaoh HNp לָ/ג֣וּר 𐤋/𐤂𐤅𐤓 lagur to sojourn HR/Vqc בָּ/אָרֶץ֮ 𐤁/𐤀𐤓𐤑 baarets in the land HRd/Ncbsa בָּאנוּ֒ 𐤁𐤀𐤍𐤅 banu we have come HVqp1cp כִּי 𐤊𐤉 ki for HC אֵ֣ין 𐤀𐤉𐤍 eyn there is no HTn מִרְעֶ֗ה 𐤌𐤓𐤏𐤄 mireeh pasture HNcmsa לַ/צֹּאן֙ 𐤋/𐤑𐤀𐤍 latson for the flocks HRd/Ncbsa אֲשֶׁ֣ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher which HTr לַ/עֲבָדֶ֔י/ךָ 𐤋/𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉/𐤊 laavadeykha belong to your servants HR/Ncmpc/Sp2ms כִּֽי 𐤊𐤉 ki-2 for HC כָבֵ֥ד 𐤊𐤁𐤃 khaved severe HAamsa הָ/רָעָ֖ב 𐤄/𐤓𐤏𐤁 haraav the famine HTd/Ncmsa בְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ 𐤁/𐤀𐤓𐤑 beerets in the land HR/Ncbsc כְּנָ֑עַן 𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍 kenaan of Canaan HNp וְ/עַתָּ֛ה 𐤅/𐤏𐤕𐤄 veatah and now HC/D יֵֽשְׁבוּ 𐤉𐤔𐤁𐤅 yeshevu let dwell HVqj3mp נָ֥א 𐤍𐤀 na please HTe עֲבָדֶ֖י/ךָ 𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉/𐤊 avadeykha your servants HNcmpc/Sp2ms בְּ/אֶ֥רֶץ 𐤁/𐤀𐤓𐤑 beerets-2 in the land HR/Ncbsc גֹּֽשֶׁן 𐤂𐤔𐤍 goshen of Goshen HNp

And Pharaoh said Pharaoh to Joseph saying your father and your brothers have come to you

5 וַ/יֹּ֣אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And Pharaoh said HC/Vqw3ms פַּרְעֹ֔ה 𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 pareoh Pharaoh HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR יוֹסֵ֖ף 𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 yosef Joseph HNp לֵ/אמֹ֑ר 𐤋/𐤀𐤌𐤓 lemor saying HR/Vqc אָבִ֥י/ךָ 𐤀𐤁𐤉/𐤊 avikha your father HNcmsc/Sp2ms וְ/אַחֶ֖י/ךָ 𐤅/𐤀𐤇𐤉/𐤊 veacheykha and your brothers HC/Ncmpc/Sp2ms בָּ֥אוּ 𐤁𐤀𐤅 bau have come HVqp3cp אֵלֶֽי/ךָ 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤊 eleykha to you HR/Sp2ms

Then brought Joseph (direct object marker) Jacob his father and presented him before Pharaoh and blessed Jacob (direct object marker) Pharaoh

and he said Pharaoh to Jacob how many days years your life

8 וַ/יֹּ֥אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and he said HC/Vqw3ms פַּרְעֹ֖ה 𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 pareoh Pharaoh HNp אֶֽל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR יַעֲקֹ֑ב 𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 yaaqov Jacob HNp כַּ/מָּ֕ה 𐤊/𐤌𐤄 kamah how many HR/Ti יְמֵ֖י 𐤉𐤌𐤉 yemey days HNcmpc שְׁנֵ֥י 𐤔𐤍𐤉 sheney years HAcmdc חַיֶּֽי/ךָ 𐤇𐤉𐤉/𐤊 chayeykha your life HNcmpc/Sp2ms

And he said Jacob to Pharaoh The days of the years of my sojourning thirty and a hundred years few and difficult have been the days of the years of my life and not have attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their sojourning

9 וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms יַעֲקֹב֙ 𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 yaaqov Jacob HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR פַּרְעֹ֔ה 𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 pareoh Pharaoh HNp יְמֵי֙ 𐤉𐤌𐤉 yemey The days HNcmpc שְׁנֵ֣י 𐤔𐤍𐤉 sheney of the years HAcmdc מְגוּרַ֔/י 𐤌𐤂𐤅𐤓/𐤉 meguray of my sojourning HNcmpc/Sp1cs שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים 𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤉𐤌 sheloshim thirty HAcbpa וּ/מְאַ֖ת 𐤅/𐤌𐤀𐤕 umeat and a hundred HC/Acbsc שָׁנָ֑ה 𐤔𐤍𐤄 shanah years HNcfsa מְעַ֣ט 𐤌𐤏𐤈 meat few HNcmsa וְ/רָעִ֗ים 𐤅/𐤓𐤏𐤉𐤌 veraim and difficult HC/Aampa הָיוּ֙ 𐤄𐤉𐤅 hayu have been HVqp3cp יְמֵי֙ 𐤉𐤌𐤉 yemey-2 the days HNcmpc שְׁנֵ֣י 𐤔𐤍𐤉 sheney-2 of the years HAcmdc חַיַּ֔/י 𐤇𐤉/𐤉 chayay of my life HNcmpc/Sp1cs וְ/לֹ֣א 𐤅/𐤋𐤀 velo and not HC/Tn הִשִּׂ֗יגוּ 𐤄𐤔𐤉𐤂𐤅 hisigu have attained HVhp3cp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et to HTo יְמֵי֙ 𐤉𐤌𐤉 yemey-3 the days HNcmpc שְׁנֵי֙ 𐤔𐤍𐤉 sheney-3 of the years HAcmdc חַיֵּ֣י 𐤇𐤉𐤉 chayey of the life HNcmpc אֲבֹתַ֔/י 𐤀𐤁𐤕/𐤉 avotay of my fathers HNcmpc/Sp1cs בִּ/ימֵ֖י 𐤁/𐤉𐤌𐤉 bimey in the days HR/Ncmpc מְגוּרֵי/הֶֽם 𐤌𐤂𐤅𐤓𐤉/𐤄𐤌 megureyhem of their sojourning HNcmpc/Sp3mp

and he blessed Jacob — Pharaoh and he went out from before Pharaoh

10 וַ/יְבָ֥רֶךְ 𐤅/𐤉𐤁𐤓𐤊 vayevarekhe and he blessed HC/Vpw3ms יַעֲקֹ֖ב 𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 yaaqov Jacob HNp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et — HTo פַּרְעֹ֑ה 𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 pareoh Pharaoh HNp וַ/יֵּצֵ֖א 𐤅/𐤉𐤑𐤀 vayetse and he went out HC/Vqw3ms מִ/לִּ/פְנֵ֥י 𐤌/𐤋/𐤐𐤍𐤉 milifeney from before HR/R/Ncbpc פַרְעֹֽה 𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 fareoh Pharaoh HNp

and settled Joseph [direct object marker] his father and [direct object marker] his brothers and gave to them a possession in the land of Egypt in the best of the land in the land of Rameses as commanded Pharaoh

11 וַ/יּוֹשֵׁ֣ב 𐤅/𐤉𐤅𐤔𐤁 vayoshev and settled HC/Vhw3ms יוֹסֵף֮ 𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 yosef Joseph HNp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et [direct object marker] HTo אָבִ֣י/ו 𐤀𐤁𐤉/𐤅 aviv his father HNcmsc/Sp3ms וְ/אֶת 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet and [direct object marker] HC/To אֶחָי/ו֒ 𐤀𐤇𐤉/𐤅 echayv his brothers HNcmpc/Sp3ms וַ/יִּתֵּ֨ן 𐤅/𐤉𐤕𐤍 vayiten and gave HC/Vqw3ms לָ/הֶ֤ם 𐤋/𐤄𐤌 lahem to them HR/Sp3mp אֲחֻזָּה֙ 𐤀𐤇𐤆𐤄 achuzah a possession HNcfsa בְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ 𐤁/𐤀𐤓𐤑 beerets in the land HR/Ncbsc מִצְרַ֔יִם 𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mitserayim of Egypt HNp בְּ/מֵיטַ֥ב 𐤁/𐤌𐤉𐤈𐤁 bemeytav in the best HR/Ncmsc הָ/אָ֖רֶץ 𐤄/𐤀𐤓𐤑 haarets of the land HTd/Ncbsa בְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ 𐤁/𐤀𐤓𐤑 beerets-2 in the land HR/Ncbsc רַעְמְסֵ֑ס 𐤓𐤏𐤌𐤎𐤎 raemeses of Rameses HNp כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֖ר 𐤊/𐤀𐤔𐤓 kaasher as HR/Tr צִוָּ֥ה 𐤑𐤅𐤄 tsivah commanded HVpp3ms פַרְעֹֽה 𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 fareoh Pharaoh HNp

And Joseph nourished Joseph (direct object marker) his father and his brothers and all household of his father with bread according to the mouth of the little ones

12 וַ/יְכַלְכֵּ֤ל 𐤅/𐤉𐤊𐤋𐤊𐤋 vayekhalekel And Joseph nourished HC/Vlw3ms יוֹסֵף֙ 𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 yosef Joseph HNp אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et (direct object marker) HTo אָבִ֣י/ו 𐤀𐤁𐤉/𐤅 aviv his father HNcmsc/Sp3ms וְ/אֶת 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet and HC/To אֶחָ֔י/ו 𐤀𐤇𐤉/𐤅 echayv his brothers HNcmpc/Sp3ms וְ/אֵ֖ת 𐤅/𐤀𐤕 veet-2 and HC/To כָּל 𐤊𐤋 kal all HNcmsc בֵּ֣ית 𐤁𐤉𐤕 beyt household HNcmsc אָבִ֑י/ו 𐤀𐤁𐤉/𐤅 aviv-2 of his father HNcmsc/Sp3ms לֶ֖חֶם 𐤋𐤇𐤌 lechem with bread HNcbsa לְ/פִ֥י 𐤋/𐤐𐤉 lefi according to the mouth of HR/Ncmsc הַ/טָּֽף 𐤄/𐤈𐤐 hataf the little ones HTd/Ncmsa

and bread there was no in all the land for was heavy the famine very and it languished land of Egypt and land of Canaan because of the famine

13 וְ/לֶ֤חֶם 𐤅/𐤋𐤇𐤌 velechem and bread HC/Ncbsa אֵין֙ 𐤀𐤉𐤍 eyn there was no HTn בְּ/כָל 𐤁/𐤊𐤋 bekhal in all HR/Ncmsc הָ/אָ֔רֶץ 𐤄/𐤀𐤓𐤑 haarets the land HTd/Ncbsa כִּֽי 𐤊𐤉 ki for HC כָבֵ֥ד 𐤊𐤁𐤃 khaved was heavy HAamsa הָ/רָעָ֖ב 𐤄/𐤓𐤏𐤁 haraav the famine HTd/Ncmsa מְאֹ֑ד 𐤌𐤀𐤃 meod very HD וַ/תֵּ֜לַהּ 𐤅/𐤕𐤋𐤄 vatelah and it languished HC/Vqw3fs אֶ֤רֶץ 𐤀𐤓𐤑 erets land HNcbsc מִצְרַ֨יִם֙ 𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 mitserayim of Egypt HNp וְ/אֶ֣רֶץ 𐤅/𐤀𐤓𐤑 veerets and land HC/Ncbsc כְּנַ֔עַן 𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍 kenaan of Canaan HNp מִ/פְּנֵ֖י 𐤌/𐤐𐤍𐤉 mipeney because of HR/Ncbpc הָ/רָעָֽב 𐤄/𐤓𐤏𐤁 haraav-2 the famine HTd/Ncmsa

And Joseph gathered Joseph [direct object marker] all the money that was found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan for the grain which they were buying and he brought Joseph [direct object marker] the money into his house Pharaoh's

and they brought their livestock to Joseph and he gave to them Joseph bread for the horses and for the livestock of the flocks and for the livestock of the herds and for the donkeys and he sustained them with bread for all their livestock in that year that

and when ended the year that and they came to him in the year second and they said to him not we will hide from my lord that if is spent the money and the livestock of the animals to my lord not remains before my lord except if our bodies and our land

So Joseph bought Joseph (direct object marker) all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh for sold the Egyptians every his field because was severe upon them the famine so became the land Pharaoh's

and as for the people he removed/transferred them to the cities from one end of the border of Egypt and to the other end of it

only the land of the priests not he bought for an allotment for the priests from Pharaoh and they ate their allotment that he gave to them Pharaoh therefore thus not they sold their land

Then said Joseph to the people Behold I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh here is for you seed and you shall sow it the land

And it shall be at the harvests you shall give a fifth to Pharaoh and four parts shall be yours for seed of the field and for your food and for those in your houses and for food for your little ones

And they said You have saved our lives let us find favor in the eyes of my lord and we will be servants to Pharaoh

25 וַ/יֹּאמְר֖וּ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 vayomeru And they said HC/Vqw3mp הֶחֱיִתָ֑/נוּ 𐤄𐤇𐤉𐤕/𐤍𐤅 hecheyitanu You have saved our lives HVhp2ms/Sp1cp נִמְצָא 𐤍𐤌𐤑𐤀 nimetsa let us find HVqi1cp חֵן֙ 𐤇𐤍 chen favor HNcmsa בְּ/עֵינֵ֣י 𐤁/𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉 beeyney in the eyes of HR/Ncbdc אֲדֹנִ֔/י 𐤀𐤃𐤍/𐤉 adoni my lord HNcmsc/Sp1cs וְ/הָיִ֥ינוּ 𐤅/𐤄𐤉𐤉𐤍𐤅 vehayinu and we will be HC/Vqq1cp עֲבָדִ֖ים 𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉𐤌 avadim servants HNcmpa לְ/פַרְעֹֽה 𐤋/𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 lefareoh to Pharaoh HR/Np

And Jacob lived Jacob in the land of Egypt seventeen seventeen years so the days of Jacob the years of his life one hundred and forty and a hundred and forty-seven years

drew near the days of Israel to die and he called to his son Joseph and said to him if now I have found grace in your eyes put please your hand under my thigh and deal with me kindly and truly not please bury me in Egypt

but I will lie down with my fathers and you shall carry out of Egypt and bury me in their burying place And he said I will do as you have said

And he said Swear to me And he swore to him And he bowed down Israel upon the head of the bed
