And he said Balaam to Balak Build for me here seven altars and prepare for me here seven bulls and seven rams

1 וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms בִּלְעָם֙ 𐤁𐤋𐤏𐤌 bileam Balaam HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR בָּלָ֔ק 𐤁𐤋𐤒 balaq Balak HNp בְּנֵה 𐤁𐤍𐤄 beneh Build HVqv2ms לִ֥/י 𐤋/𐤉 li for me HR/Sp1cs בָ/זֶ֖ה 𐤁/𐤆𐤄 vazeh here HR/Pdxms שִׁבְעָ֣ה 𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 shiveah seven HAcmsa מִזְבְּחֹ֑ת 𐤌𐤆𐤁𐤇𐤕 mizebechot altars HNcmpa וְ/הָכֵ֥ן 𐤅/𐤄𐤊𐤍 vehakhen and prepare HC/Vhv2ms לִ/י֙ 𐤋/𐤉 li-2 for me HR/Sp1cs בָּ/זֶ֔ה 𐤁/𐤆𐤄 bazeh here HR/Pdxms שִׁבְעָ֥ה 𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 shiveah-2 seven HAcmsa פָרִ֖ים 𐤐𐤓𐤉𐤌 farim bulls HNcmpa וְ/שִׁבְעָ֥ה 𐤅/𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 veshiveah and seven HC/Acmsa אֵילִֽים 𐤀𐤉𐤋𐤉𐤌 eylim rams HNcmpa

did Balak as had spoken Balaam offered up Balak and Balaam bull and ram on the altar

2 וַ/יַּ֣עַשׂ 𐤅/𐤉𐤏𐤔 vayaas did HC/Vqw3ms בָּלָ֔ק 𐤁𐤋𐤒 balaq Balak HNp כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֖ר 𐤊/𐤀𐤔𐤓 kaasher as HR/Tr דִּבֶּ֣ר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 diber had spoken HVpp3ms בִּלְעָ֑ם 𐤁𐤋𐤏𐤌 bileam Balaam HNp וַ/יַּ֨עַל 𐤅/𐤉𐤏𐤋 vayaal offered up HC/Vhw3ms בָּלָ֧ק 𐤁𐤋𐤒 balaq-2 Balak HNp וּ/בִלְעָ֛ם 𐤅/𐤁𐤋𐤏𐤌 uvileam and Balaam HC/Np פָּ֥ר 𐤐𐤓 par bull HNcmsa וָ/אַ֖יִל 𐤅/𐤀𐤉𐤋 vaayil and ram HC/Ncmsa בַּ/מִּזְבֵּֽחַ 𐤁/𐤌𐤆𐤁𐤇 bamizebecha on the altar HRd/Ncmsa

And he said Balaam to Balak Stand by your burnt offering and I will go perhaps will meet YHWH me and the word whatever He shows me I will tell you And he went to a bare height

3 וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms בִּלְעָ֜ם 𐤁𐤋𐤏𐤌 bileam Balaam HNp לְ/בָלָ֗ק 𐤋/𐤁𐤋𐤒 levalaq to Balak HR/Np הִתְיַצֵּב֮ 𐤄𐤕𐤉𐤑𐤁 hiteyatsev Stand HVtv2ms עַל 𐤏𐤋 al by HR עֹלָתֶ/ךָ֒ 𐤏𐤋𐤕/𐤊 olatekha your burnt offering HNcfsc/Sp2ms וְ/אֵֽלְכָ֗ה 𐤅/𐤀𐤋𐤊𐤄 veelekhah and I will go HC/Vqh1cs אוּלַ֞י 𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤉 ulay perhaps HD יִקָּרֵ֤ה 𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤄 yiqareh will meet HVNi3ms יְהוָה֙ 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp לִ/קְרָאתִ֔/י 𐤋/𐤒𐤓𐤀𐤕/𐤉 liqerati me HR/Vqc/Sp1cs וּ/דְבַ֥ר 𐤅/𐤃𐤁𐤓 udevar and the word HC/Ncmsc מַה 𐤌𐤄 mah whatever HTi יַּרְאֵ֖/נִי 𐤉𐤓𐤀/𐤍𐤉 yareeni He shows me HVhi3ms/Sp1cs וְ/הִגַּ֣דְתִּי 𐤅/𐤄𐤂𐤃𐤕𐤉 vehigadeti I will tell HC/Vhq1cs לָ֑/ךְ 𐤋/𐤊 lakhe you HR/Sp2fs וַ/יֵּ֖לֶךְ 𐤅/𐤉𐤋𐤊 vayelekhe And he went HC/Vqw3ms שֶֽׁפִי 𐤔𐤐𐤉 shefi to a bare height HNcmsa

and met God to Balaam and he said to him [direct object marker] seven the altars I have arranged and I offered up a bull and a ram on the altar

4 וַ/יִּקָּ֥ר 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤓 vayiqar and met HC/VNw3ms אֱלֹהִ֖ים 𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 elohim Mulimu (Lozi) God HNcmpa אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR בִּלְעָ֑ם 𐤁𐤋𐤏𐤌 bileam Balaam HNp וַ/יֹּ֣אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and he said HC/Vqw3ms אֵלָ֗י/ו 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤅 elayv to him HR/Sp3ms אֶת 𐤀𐤕 et [direct object marker] HTo שִׁבְעַ֤ת 𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤕 shiveat seven HAcmsc הַֽ/מִּזְבְּחֹת֙ 𐤄/𐤌𐤆𐤁𐤇𐤕 hamizebechot the altars HTd/Ncmpa עָרַ֔כְתִּי 𐤏𐤓𐤊𐤕𐤉 arakheti I have arranged HVqp1cs וָ/אַ֛עַל 𐤅/𐤀𐤏𐤋 vaaal and I offered up HC/Vhw1cs פָּ֥ר 𐤐𐤓 par a bull HNcmsa וָ/אַ֖יִל 𐤅/𐤀𐤉𐤋 vaayil and a ram HC/Ncmsa בַּ/מִּזְבֵּֽחַ 𐤁/𐤌𐤆𐤁𐤇 bamizebecha on the altar HRd/Ncmsa

and He put YHWH a word in the mouth of Balaam and He said Return to Balak and thus you shall speak

5 וַ/יָּ֧שֶׂם 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤌 vayasem and He put HC/Vqw3ms יְהוָ֛ה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp דָּבָ֖ר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 davar a word HNcmsa בְּ/פִ֣י 𐤁/𐤐𐤉 befi in the mouth of HR/Ncmsc בִלְעָ֑ם 𐤁𐤋𐤏𐤌 vileam Balaam HNp וַ/יֹּ֛אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and He said HC/Vqw3ms שׁ֥וּב 𐤔𐤅𐤁 shuv Return HVqv2ms אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR בָּלָ֖ק 𐤁𐤋𐤒 balaq Balak HNp וְ/כֹ֥ה 𐤅/𐤊𐤄 vekhoh and thus HC/D תְדַבֵּֽר 𐤕𐤃𐤁𐤓 tedaber you shall speak HVpi2ms

and he returned to him and behold standing by his burnt offering he and all princes of Moab

6 וַ/יָּ֣שָׁב 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤁 vayashav and he returned HC/Vqw3ms אֵלָ֔י/ו 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤅 elayv to him HR/Sp3ms וְ/הִנֵּ֥ה 𐤅/𐤄𐤍𐤄 vehineh and behold HC/Tm נִצָּ֖ב 𐤍𐤑𐤁 nitsav standing HVNrmsa עַל 𐤏𐤋 al by HR עֹלָת֑/וֹ 𐤏𐤋𐤕/𐤅 olato his burnt offering HNcfsc/Sp3ms ה֖וּא 𐤄𐤅𐤀 hu he HPp3ms וְ/כָל 𐤅/𐤊𐤋 vekhal and all HC/Ncmsc שָׂרֵ֥י 𐤔𐤓𐤉 sarey princes HNcmpc מוֹאָֽב 𐤌𐤅𐤀𐤁 moav of Moab HNp

And he took up his parable and said From Aram he brought me Balak king of Moab from the mountains of the east Come curse for me Jacob and come denounce Israel

7 וַ/יִּשָּׂ֥א 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤀 vayisa And he took up HC/Vqw3ms מְשָׁל֖/וֹ 𐤌𐤔𐤋/𐤅 meshalo his parable HNcmsc/Sp3ms וַ/יֹּאמַ֑ר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomar and said HC/Vqw3ms מִן 𐤌𐤍 min From HR אֲ֠רָם 𐤀𐤓𐤌 aram Aram HNp יַנְחֵ֨/נִי 𐤉𐤍𐤇/𐤍𐤉 yanecheni he brought me HVhi3ms/Sp1cs בָלָ֤ק 𐤁𐤋𐤒 valaq Balak HNp מֶֽלֶךְ 𐤌𐤋𐤊 melekhe king HNcmsc מוֹאָב֙ 𐤌𐤅𐤀𐤁 moav of Moab HNp מֵֽ/הַרְרֵי 𐤌/𐤄𐤓𐤓𐤉 meharerey from the mountains HR/Ncmpc קֶ֔דֶם 𐤒𐤃𐤌 qedem of the east HNcmsa לְכָ/ה֙ 𐤋𐤊/𐤄 lekhah Come HVqv2ms/Sh אָֽרָ/ה 𐤀𐤓/𐤄 arah curse HVqv2ms/Sh לִּ֣/י 𐤋/𐤉 li for me HR/Sp1cs יַעֲקֹ֔ב 𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 yaaqov Jacob HNp וּ/לְכָ֖/ה 𐤅/𐤋𐤊/𐤄 ulekhah and come HC/Vqv2ms/Sh זֹעֲמָ֥/ה 𐤆𐤏𐤌/𐤄 zoamah denounce HVqv2ms/Sh יִשְׂרָאֵֽל 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 yiserael Israel HNp

How shall I curse not has he cursed God And how shall I denounce not has he denounced YHWH

8 מָ֣ה 𐤌𐤄 mah How HTi אֶקֹּ֔ב 𐤀𐤒𐤁 eqov shall I curse HVqi1cs לֹ֥א 𐤋𐤀 lo not HTn קַבֹּ֖/ה 𐤒𐤁/𐤄 qaboh has he cursed HVqp3ms/Sp3ms אֵ֑ל 𐤀𐤋 el God HNcmsa וּ/מָ֣ה 𐤅/𐤌𐤄 umah And how HC/Ti אֶזְעֹ֔ם 𐤀𐤆𐤏𐤌 ezeom shall I denounce HVqi1cs לֹ֥א 𐤋𐤀 lo-2 not HTn זָעַ֖ם 𐤆𐤏𐤌 zaam has he denounced HVqp3ms יְהוָֽה 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp

For from the top of the rocks I see him and from the hills I behold him Behold a people alone dwells among the nations not is reckoned

9 כִּֽי 𐤊𐤉 ki For HC מֵ/רֹ֤אשׁ 𐤌/𐤓𐤀𐤔 merosh from the top HR/Ncmsc צֻרִים֙ 𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 tsurim of the rocks HNcmpa אֶרְאֶ֔/נּוּ 𐤀𐤓𐤀/𐤍𐤅 ereenu I see him HVqi1cs/Sp3ms וּ/מִ/גְּבָע֖וֹת 𐤅/𐤌/𐤂𐤁𐤏𐤅𐤕 umigevaot and from the hills HC/R/Ncfpa אֲשׁוּרֶ֑/נּוּ 𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤓/𐤍𐤅 ashurenu I behold him HVqi1cs/Sp3ms הֶן 𐤄𐤍 hen Behold HTj עָם֙ 𐤏𐤌 am a people HNcmsa לְ/בָדָ֣ד 𐤋/𐤁𐤃𐤃 levadad alone HR/Ncmsa יִשְׁכֹּ֔ן 𐤉𐤔𐤊𐤍 yishekon dwells HVqi3ms וּ/בַ/גּוֹיִ֖ם 𐤅/𐤁/𐤂𐤅𐤉𐤌 uvagoyim among the nations HC/Rd/Ncmpa לֹ֥א 𐤋𐤀 lo not HTn יִתְחַשָּֽׁב 𐤉𐤕𐤇𐤔𐤁 yitechashav is reckoned HVti3ms

Who can count the dust of Jacob or number the fourth part of Israel Let ... die me the death of the upright and let ... be the end of my life like his

And he said Balak to Balaam What have you done to me to curse my enemies I took you and behold you have blessed blessing

11 וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms בָּלָק֙ 𐤁𐤋𐤒 balaq Balak HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR בִּלְעָ֔ם 𐤁𐤋𐤏𐤌 bileam Balaam HNp מֶ֥ה 𐤌𐤄 meh What HTi עָשִׂ֖יתָ 𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤕 asita have you done HVqp2ms לִ֑/י 𐤋/𐤉 li to me HR/Sp1cs לָ/קֹ֤ב 𐤋/𐤒𐤁 laqov to curse HR/Vqc אֹיְבַ/י֙ 𐤀𐤉𐤁/𐤉 oyevay my enemies HVqrmpc/Sp1cs לְקַחְתִּ֔י/ךָ 𐤋𐤒𐤇𐤕𐤉/𐤊 leqachetikha I took you HVqp1cs/Sp2ms וְ/הִנֵּ֖ה 𐤅/𐤄𐤍𐤄 vehineh and behold HC/Tm בֵּרַ֥כְתָּ 𐤁𐤓𐤊𐤕 berakheta you have blessed HVpp2ms בָרֵֽךְ 𐤁𐤓𐤊 varekhe blessing HVpa

And he answered and said Must I not [direct object marker] that which puts YHWH in my mouth it take heed to to speak

12 וַ/יַּ֖עַן 𐤅/𐤉𐤏𐤍 vayaan And he answered HC/Vqw3ms וַ/יֹּאמַ֑ר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomar and said HC/Vqw3ms הֲ/לֹ֗א 𐤄/𐤋𐤀 halo Must I not HTi/Tn אֵת֩ 𐤀𐤕 et [direct object marker] HTo אֲשֶׁ֨ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher that which HTr יָשִׂ֤ים 𐤉𐤔𐤉𐤌 yasim puts HVqi3ms יְהוָה֙ 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp בְּ/פִ֔/י 𐤁/𐤐/𐤉 befi in my mouth HR/Ncmsc/Sp1cs אֹת֥/וֹ 𐤀𐤕/𐤅 oto it HTo/Sp3ms אֶשְׁמֹ֖ר 𐤀𐤔𐤌𐤓 eshemor take heed to HVqi1cs לְ/דַבֵּֽר 𐤋/𐤃𐤁𐤓 ledaber to speak HR/Vpc

And he said to him Balak Go please please with me to place another where you will see it from there only its edge you will see and all of it not you will see and curse it for me from there

13 וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms אֵלָ֜י/ו 𐤀𐤋𐤉/𐤅 elayv to him HR/Sp3ms בָּלָ֗ק 𐤁𐤋𐤒 balaq Balak HNp לך 𐤋𐤊 lkh Go HVqv2ms לְכָ/ה 𐤋𐤊/𐤄 lekhah please HVqv2ms/Sh נָּ֨א 𐤍𐤀 na please HTj אִתִּ֜/י 𐤀𐤕/𐤉 iti with me HR/Sp1cs אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR מָק֤וֹם 𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌 maqom place HNcmsa אַחֵר֙ 𐤀𐤇𐤓 acher another HAamsa אֲשֶׁ֣ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher where HTr תִּרְאֶ֣/נּוּ 𐤕𐤓𐤀/𐤍𐤅 tireenu you will see it HVqi2ms/Sp3ms מִ/שָּׁ֔ם 𐤌/𐤔𐤌 misham from there HR/D אֶ֚פֶס 𐤀𐤐𐤎 efes only HNcmsa קָצֵ֣/הוּ 𐤒𐤑/𐤄𐤅 qatsehu its edge HNcbsc/Sp3ms תִרְאֶ֔ה 𐤕𐤓𐤀𐤄 tireeh you will see HVqi2ms וְ/כֻלּ֖/וֹ 𐤅/𐤊𐤋/𐤅 vekhulo and all of it HC/Ncmsc/Sp3ms לֹ֣א 𐤋𐤀 lo not HTn תִרְאֶ֑ה 𐤕𐤓𐤀𐤄 tireeh-2 you will see HVqi2ms וְ/קָבְ/נוֹ 𐤅/𐤒𐤁/𐤍𐤅 veqaveno and curse it HC/Vqv2ms/Sp3ms לִ֖/י 𐤋/𐤉 li for me HR/Sp1cs מִ/שָּֽׁם 𐤌/𐤔𐤌 misham-2 from there HR/D

and he took him field Zophim to top of Pisgah and he built seven altars and he offered a bull and a ram on the altar

14 וַ/יִּקָּחֵ֨/הוּ֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤇/𐤄𐤅 vayiqachehu and he took him HC/Vqw3ms/Sp3ms שְׂדֵ֣ה 𐤔𐤃𐤄 sedeh field HNcmsc צֹפִ֔ים 𐤑𐤐𐤉𐤌 tsofim Zophim HVqrmpa אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR רֹ֖אשׁ 𐤓𐤀𐤔 rosh top HNcmsc הַ/פִּסְגָּ֑ה 𐤄/𐤐𐤎𐤂𐤄 hapisegah of Pisgah HTd/Np וַ/יִּ֨בֶן֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤁𐤍 vayiven and he built HC/Vqw3ms שִׁבְעָ֣ה 𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 shiveah seven HAcmsa מִזְבְּחֹ֔ת 𐤌𐤆𐤁𐤇𐤕 mizebechot altars HNcmpa וַ/יַּ֛עַל 𐤅/𐤉𐤏𐤋 vayaal and he offered HC/Vhw3ms פָּ֥ר 𐤐𐤓 par a bull HNcmsa וָ/אַ֖יִל 𐤅/𐤀𐤉𐤋 vaayil and a ram HC/Ncmsa בַּ/מִּזְבֵּֽחַ 𐤁/𐤌𐤆𐤁𐤇 bamizebecha on the altar HRd/Ncmsa

And he said to Balak Stand here by your burnt offering while I will meet there

15 וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר֙ 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer And he said HC/Vqw3ms אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR בָּלָ֔ק 𐤁𐤋𐤒 balaq Balak HNp הִתְיַצֵּ֥ב 𐤄𐤕𐤉𐤑𐤁 hiteyatsev Stand HVtv2ms כֹּ֖ה 𐤊𐤄 koh here HD עַל 𐤏𐤋 al by HR עֹלָתֶ֑/ךָ 𐤏𐤋𐤕/𐤊 olatekha your burnt offering HNcfsc/Sp2ms וְ/אָנֹכִ֖י 𐤅/𐤀𐤍𐤊𐤉 veanokhi while I HC/Pp1cs אִקָּ֥רֶה 𐤀𐤒𐤓𐤄 iqareh will meet HVNi1cs כֹּֽה 𐤊𐤄 koh-2 there HD

and-met YHWH to Balaam and-put word in-his-mouth and-said return to Balak and-thus you-shall-speak

16 וַ/יִּקָּ֤ר 𐤅/𐤉𐤒𐤓 vayiqar and-met HC/VNw3ms יְהוָה֙ 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 yehvah Nyambe (Lozi) YHWH HNp אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el to HR בִּלְעָ֔ם 𐤁𐤋𐤏𐤌 bileam Balaam HNp וַ/יָּ֥שֶׂם 𐤅/𐤉𐤔𐤌 vayasem and-put HC/Vqw3ms דָּבָ֖ר 𐤃𐤁𐤓 davar word HNcmsa בְּ/פִ֑י/ו 𐤁/𐤐𐤉/𐤅 befiv in-his-mouth HR/Ncmsc/Sp3ms וַ/יֹּ֛אמֶר 𐤅/𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 vayomer and-said HC/Vqw3ms שׁ֥וּב 𐤔𐤅𐤁 shuv return HVqv2ms אֶל 𐤀𐤋 el-2 to HR בָּלָ֖ק 𐤁𐤋𐤒 balaq Balak HNp וְ/כֹ֥ה 𐤅/𐤊𐤄 vekhoh and-thus HC/D תְדַבֵּֽר 𐤕𐤃𐤁𐤓 tedaber you-shall-speak HVpi2ms

and he came to him and behold him standing upon his burnt offering and princes of Moab with him and he said to him Balak what has spoken YHWH
