Numbers 22

Israel camps in the plains of Moab; Balak king of Moab hires Balaam to curse Israel, but YHWH instructs Balaam to bless them; the angel of YHWH and the speaking donkey confront Balaam on his journey.[2][4]

and he sent messengers to Balaam son of Beor Pethor which is by the River land of sons his people to call him saying Behold a people has come out from Egypt behold they cover the surface of the earth and they are dwelling opposite me
